Cabin vacation rentals in Bowness-on-Windermere

We had a great weekend in Jennie’s cabin. It is located in such a beautiful setting, very peaceful and scenic. The cabin offers a large entertaining space with plenty of amenities. The beds were super comfortable. The hot tub was a fantastic indulgence to chill in on a cold evening. We will definitely be returning next year.

We loved this little lodge, the scenery was perfect. The kids loved going in the lake and feeding the ducks. A Perfect little holiday spot for what we needed, some peaceful relaxation. Best lodge location on the park!

Lovely cosy well equipped lodge for family of 4 & cocker spaniel. Lodge was clean & had a comfortable stay. Great location on site & lucky to have nice weather to sit out on decking. Good facilities on site & heated pool was fab. Short walk to Brockhole & good location for drive to Ambleside & Grasmere Would recommend. Thankyou

Visited with young family, two under 1yr and a toddler, and the grandparents. Charlotte was very helpful in organising additional Baby Chairs and Travel Cots to save us space in the car which is a premium when travelling with kids. Lodge was very comfortable inside. Deck was well maintained and the retractible parasol over the outdoor table was great to keep the kids in the shade. We made full use of the BBQ, the venue provided food for feeding the swans/ducks and the views from the Jacuzzi during the sunset were great alongside the provided candles & evening fairy lights. In terms of the immediate local area we visited the wildlife park and also a local farm. The onsite restaurant meal we had on the Sunday evening was also pretty good but be mindful that it closes quite early for food. All in all a good 3 days with family and I’d definitely consider going back. Thanks Charlotte 👍

Thank you for such a lovely stay. The whole family are so welcoming & made us feel at ease from the outset. Angela could not have provided more from the thoughtful welcome pack right through to dressing gowns & slippers. The hot tub was amazing & loved by my daughter, she also wanted me to say how much she loved the bed (very comfortable). The lodge & bedroom with bathroom were fully equipped & spotless. It was a pleasure to meet the whole family including the dogs who were so friendly with an added bonus for my daughter who got to play with Angela’s granddaughter. There was nothing more we could have wanted during our stay from the accommodation through to the surroundings. Thank you again we will be back x

Set in a peaceful corner of the holiday park we felt private and safe. There are rabbits and squirrels running around which the children loved to see. I’ve never seen trees so tall in my life. Stunning surroundings. The lodge was very well equipped - everything you need in a kitchen including a welcomed bottle of milk in the fridge and included tea coffee sugar washing up liquid etc. the main bed is a double so me and the partner were a little closer than a king. It had a thick memory foam topped on that made it very comfortable, the pillows has a nice comfy case on them too. We found board games in the bedroom cupboards. The tv had access to freeview live tv but you’re limited to basic wifi from the park which we found a little complicated to figure out how to connect to so we didn’t bother. I’m on EE network and had low to medium signal, partner on 3 network and had nothing.The hot tub was a very welcomed activity each evening. Perfect location to use as base to explore the Lakes.

Amazing place! Feels like you are away from the world!

We had a lovely stay at Louise’s place. The area is stunning and Louise was very helpful and proactive. Would highly recommend.

Jacks lodge was very clean, quiet and cosy. It’s also had everything you could need in there. Also Jack provided clear instructions on the location of the lodge as there are a few. It’s a good location to the Lake District and perfect for walkers and dog owners. My dog loved the lake and walk by the beach which was within 5 minutes of the lodge. And lake Windermere just an hour away. I would love to visit again sometime.

We had an absolutely amazing stay, the pod was great it had everything we needed and kept us warm during the very rainy nights we stayed there. The only downside was the road getting down to the pods as our car wasn't so suitable for the off road which we didn't realise (our own fault for having a very low car and not completely reading the description). But other than that the stay was amazing and we will 100% be back in a different car! Thank you for making the pod so welcoming and allowing dogs!!

Lovely lodge close to amenities and plenty to see and do. The welcome book with places to see and eat was brilliant. Very clean lodge and the extra little touches was an added bonus. Christine was always available for any questions. We would stay there again.

We absolutely loved staying at Aggie’s place! It felt like home, the house had everything we needed. Super beautiful location and helpful host. They really go above and beyond for their guests and we would definitely recommend and come back again :)

Out of all the places that we rented every time we come to Lake District this is by far the best one. The view is so incredible I didn’t even mind it was raining the first day, I just sat on the porch listening to the rain. Thanks for having us We’ll definitely come again.

Had an amazing stay at the pod! The place was spotless when we arrived, very private and peaceful. Can’t express how nice the pods are will defiantly book again but for a full weekend

The Moon Cottage was just great. From booking, to staying and departing it was blissfully easy and they were so friendly! They kept in touch incase we needed anything (luckily we didnt) and always responded very quickly to answer a few questions we had before we arrived. The cottage was just beautiful, it was absolutely spotless and decorated quirky and cute 😍. There was everything we needed and more to really make ourselves at home. 10 out of 10 we would recommend to stay at the Moon Cottage. If we are ever back in this area, this will be the first place we book !

We had a fantastic break at Paul's lodge. The lodge was very welcoming, spacious, immaculately clean, well equipped and elegantly decorated. The surroundings are beautiful, peaceful and well maintained. The lodge is an outstanding place to stay and very close to the lakes and towns. We just used the bus services to get to Windermere, Bowness, Ambleside, Grasmere and Keswick which travels every 20 minutes from the lodges main road. Paul's communication was fantastic instructions clear for checking in and responded immediately when we needed something. Would highly recommend and we will definitely return back.

Beautiful peaceful cabin for a getaway from the busy life. Sheep can be seen around and overall a very cosy and comfortable stay. Definitely need to drive to the location though, wouldn’t know how to get around without a car as most amenities are a few mins drive away. Lovely stay and would recommend for a weekend 💕🐑

Wonderful stay at Badger’s Way. We had a delightful four nights at the lodge. It was perfect for our needs and has great access to the fells directly from the site. I did a lovely seven Wainwright fell run directly from behind the pub. We didn’t see the badgers but that’s fine but we know they were there as the peanut butter sandwiches vanished every night. Highly recommended to all. Perfect lodge

We had the most wonderful stay here during our holiday. Hands-down the best place we’ve been to so far. It’s simply beautiful and just the perfect spot to get away from it all. The bubble bath out in nature in the trees was one of the many cherries on top❤️ The host, Jan, is just delightful! So warm, welcoming and a treasure trove of information for local gems to explore. The sweet treats just elevated the whole stay. I cannot wait to be back! Thank you SO much Jan, you are awesome and please give Angus lots of scratches and cuddles from us 🐈‍⬛
