Vacation rentals with a kayak in Blue Ridge Mountains

This place truly felt like a home away from home! Kelli has thought of every detail, from Q-tips and ziplock bags to a pizza pan, lotion, lots of blankets, plenty of towels, cleaning supplies, and every amenity you could possibly need. The location was perfect for privacy, and the home was incredibly cozy. We had an amazing stay and would definitely return!

Our family and friends stayed during Masters week and appreciated the quiet, relaxing location that was only about an hours drive to Augusta, GA. It made for a quick morning commute without much traffic and allowed us to hop on the express way for a straightforward drive. The house offers plenty of rooms for multiple guests, and was exactly as described in the photos and other reviews! They did a great job welcoming us, offered suggestions on other activities to do in the area while we were in town. Our two friends who stayed with us made good use of the kayaks as well for some lake boating. It was so peaceful we didn't run into any other families, even though there are plenty of surrounding houses - the view of the lake is absolutely beautiful and anyone wanting a private upstairs master suite will love this location! Chris and his co-hosts were also incredibly responsive, polite, and helpful throughout our stay. Definitely consider this as a place to stay during The Masters!

.We hosted our family of 10 Thanksgiving at this beautiful home. Kids loved the kayaks and the dock. We took a pontoon boat ride with Captain Kenny- highly recommend.

The Bobber Bungalow is such a cute stay with beautiful views. Loved the back sunroom and the access to the cove. Neighbors were all very quiet. Lindsay communicated well with us before and during our stay and house was very clean when we arrived. Only wish was that there was a door or curtain between master bedroom and master bath. Otherwise, everything was wonderful! Thank you!

We stayed for 3 days over Easter weekend and had a wonderful time. There were 10 of us and with the outdoor space and the downstairs area for the kids, there was plenty of room. We spent most of the time in the backyard playing games and using the hot tub. We also took the kayaks down to the lake for a bit which was fun. The kitchen was not quite big enough for all of us to eat inside but the deck space was plenty big so we generally ate out there. We would recommend this house to others.

We enjoyed our stay at this well appointed home! There was plenty of room for our family to spread out. We were in town for a wedding at Hartley House in Batesville. We did not have time to utilize any lake activities. However, we did have a great lunch at Shealy’s barbecue as well as Angelo’s Greek and Italian restaurant. The lake is peaceful and lovely. David was very quick to respond and easy to communicate with!

We had an amazing time at this cottage! Our family of 6 loved the space and all the amenities in the kitchen came in so useful! We enjoyed sitting out on the back porch eating dinner. It’s super easy to access and in a great location to the lake. We visited Long Point Trail, Cathedral Falls, the lake, and Fat Eddies! Thanks for a great stay!

We had a wonderful stay at this beautiful home! It was the perfect place for our anniversary weekend getaway and also for celebrating my nephew’s 3rd birthday. The house was easy to find and access, and the host went above and beyond by putting up a few birthday decorations and even leaving a sweet little gift for the birthday boy—such a thoughtful touch! The home was very clean, cozy, and well-stocked with everything you could need for a short or long stay. It has two spacious bedrooms with easy access to the living room, bathroom, and kitchen. The views of the lake were absolutely beautiful, and we really enjoyed having access to the dock—it was great for swimming, fishing, and just relaxing by the water. The host was very helpful, provided clear instructions, and gave us great recommendations for local dining and activities. Communication was quick and friendly. We felt right at home and would absolutely stay here again when we’re back in the area!

We spent Easter weekend here. As we drove in the wild azaleas and dogwoods were blooming, and everything afterwards was just as beautiful and peaceful. My teenagers loved kayaking and my daughter liked the pond so well she slept on the daybed on the porch. I appreciated the feather pillows and reverse osmosis water. Attention has been paid to every detail. I called my Nana to show her the antique desks. My small children enjoyed the toys and my middle son using the pully bucket on the porch. My daughter celebrated a birthday over our stay, more movie guests showed up than expected and I just couldn't turn these kids away. Our hosts were so kind. They of course charged a little extra as was clearly understood via the contract, they were very understanding and polite. The lock to the boat seems to be jamed, the downstairs fireplace is currently non operational, and I'm not sure I'll get back a thumb drive I forgot, but this family has worked hard to create really special place. We enjoyed staying at Taby's place, it was very cozy with everything we needed! Taby was quick to respond to any questions that we had, we would love to stay again if we're ever in Virginia.

We had a wonderful stay celebrating our granddaughter’s 21st birthday! The house was exactly as described. It was extremely clean which is important. Zach responded when we needed to ask him a question. Renting the pontoon boat from Zach was an added plus for the day!

This stay was perfect for my two kids and me. It's quiet, private, airy, and beachy and is as described. The best part, however, was the fabulous hosts, who are welcoming, intelligent, and fun. We took them up on an extra--namely an excursion to an uninhabited island--and it was my favorite part of the trip. Later, Brian attempted patiently to teach us to crab while likely questioning the firing of our neurons due to my deft whacking of the crabs back into the water. While our bucket remained empty due to my propensity for crab driving, we left with wonderful memories. To their likely dismay, we'll be back! 😂

Tonya's home was a perfect place for my family to stay while in Ky for a wedding. There was space for everyone and the home had everything we needed.

Very nice and peaceful lake cabin. Roomy and will accommodate up to 8-10 comfortably. Access to lake a dock is a big plus.

We really enjoyed our stay at Tim’s cabin. The cabin was easy to find and not too far from anything we needed to get to in town. We enjoyed being on the porch listening to the river & our many naps on the swing. The cabin itself was cozy & great for a couple. Would stay again!

What an amazing place. This is a gem. Tucked in the mountains next to a mountain stream. The location is tranquil, but still close to the main road that will take you to the cute town of Bedford in one direction and is only 5 miles the other direction to the Peaks of Otter and Blue Ridge Parkway. Can't say enough about the cabin and its location. A true 5/5.

The location couldn’t have been better, with the river right in front of the house, making for a truly relaxing experience. The master bedroom’s balcony overlooking the river was the perfect spot to unwind. On top of that, the host was super friendly and always available. I’d stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it!

We had an amazing long weekend with both our dogs! It was our first vacation with them both and this cain did not disappoint. We truly had R&R and we are planning our next trip very soon!! oh! and the wildlife is so fun! from the herons, fish and turtles to the lovely donkey 🤣.

Rebecca’s cabin was lovely! Exactly as described with a great deck overlooking the river. Our trip was unfortunately cut short by threat of flood, but Rebecca and Leanne were extremely kind and helpful through the process. Thank you!!

We had a different reservation fall through and Jennifer and Ian graciously accepted our last minute reservation request. They even took the time to double check the property before we got there. The property was amazing! Location was peaceful, right on the river. The house was the perfect balance of cozy, rustic charm and modern conveniences. Bathrooms spotless and updated. Kitchen, while not updated, lacked for nothing. The oversized sofas were perfect for snuggling up on. And the screened front porch! OMG! Absolutely perfect! Spent each morning listening to nature wake up as the sun rose over the mountain while I drank my coffee. Mental refresh! Easy drive to town and hiking. Can fish right from private dock. Would highly recommend this property. Considering coming back later in the year with the whole family.
