Amazing Whitewater View near Manuel Antonio Park

ConnieRating, 5 stars5 days ago
We didn't want this vacation to end! This place was so beautiful and quiet. The pool, bar and outdoor kitchen were perfect. So well designed. We had everything we needed. We enjoyed walking the grounds and picking up fresh mangoes, coconuts, limes, starfruit and bananas. The wonderful scent of the ylang ylang trees was everywhere. Absolutely amazing. The house was spacious and we loved the doors of every room and the beautiful arched windows. Great architecture! The towels smelt fresh and were of great quality. The welcome book was truly helpful. Any question we had - the answer was in there. Very well done! One week was just not enough.

Beautiful Villa- Ocean/Sunset Views-Great Location

MarinaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
Our stay was great! The place is centrally located, close to grocery stores and restaurants. It was very large, plenty of rooms and bathrooms. The kids loved running around and swinging in the hammocks and the pool. The place could have had some upgrades, like soap in the showers and more absorbent towels - small things that were not a huge bother. There also seemed to only be hot water in the main house.

Pura Vida Manuel Antonio House

TerrynRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had read reviews about wildlife and hoped, but it didn't disappoint. Daily Scarlet Mackaws, heard howler monkeys twice, saw a white faced monkey trying to get a lizard in the yard, squirrel monkeys in the canopy, iguanas, tree frog at night, and neighborhood dogs would visit each night randomly. Our kids loved the wildlife from the pool and searching around the property and neighborhood hikes to look for more. Not mentioned in the post- there is a washer and dryer in the basement area, along with wifi, outdoor shower to get off sand, and several grills to use. There was a wonderful gift basket when we arrived with pineapple the kids loved, coffee (so thoughtful), and local snacks. The AC in the rooms and fans worked great. The front gate was a nice feature for security (and keeping our kids in honestly). Great home and great location. Only downsides were depleted silverware for house with six people and hand washing dishes. Thanks for the flexible arrival and departure!

Altamar. Stunning views 30 minutes from the beach

MelissaRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We had a lovely 2 night stay at the end of our Costa Rica vacation. It was a perfect place to settle in and unwind from all the adventures in our trip. Beds were comfortable and kitchen was great for cooking meals in. We did enjoy the restaurant on the hill (which you can see from the house) but note they only take cash. It was rated at the top of the best Costa Rica food we had. The drive was not as bad as I had anticipated since we had drove in Monteverde and other mountain towns. Definitely steep in some parts but moderate to places we had encountered before. I would still suggest at 4 wheel drive vehicle. Take a book or a family game and enjoy nature from the mountain top.

Beach front 2-br villa with private pool.

JorgeRating, 5 stars17 months ago
I actually did not stay in the place but I was able to see everything of the property and experienced most of what is needed to judge the host’ service. Just like the photos. Beautiful place, with a pristine pool, 1 minute walk to the ocean, and just 5 minutes walk to the wild Bandera beach. Don Randal, at the site, is a genuine tico with an interesting background and many stories to tell, that reminds the good old days of this amazing country. He was willing to help us with our needs. Likewise, don Oscar who manages the property helped us to refund our pay given I had misread some information about the property and I was traveling with my parents that are at an age in which some specific accommodation is needed. He even told me where I could find what would be good for my parents. I would come back with other group of the family.

Luxury Villa w/Pool, Walking Distance From Beach

RobinRating, 5 stars2 months ago
We loved staying here, we were a group with four little ones and it was a great spot to spend the week while exploring the natural wonders that Costa Rica has to offer. The house itself is gorgeous and a short walk to a beautiful baby friendly beach (just be ware that this walk is not stroller friendly). Our host David and Carlos were both extremely responsive and helpful giving us recommendations and booking some activities for us. We used the chefs for a few nights who made us delicious Costa Rican food (chef Freddy and chef Carlos were amazing!) and the cleaning service was so helpful for keeping a house full of little kids clean and sand free. The only thing I would mention for future families is that the balcony (which is beautiful and often times visited by local monkeys) is set into a cliff and requires very watchful eyes to make sure the little ones don’t get too close to the railing. Just something to consider, Overall wonderful stay here and would highly recommend!

JUNGLE ROOST a beautiful house close to the beach

MichaelRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
Jungle Roost accurately describes this amazing home. Once here, you are surrounded by immaculate gardens and lush jungle. Every day, we were greeted by all three species of monkeys in Manuel Antonio (white-faced capuchin, squirrel, and mantled howler), amazing birds (like a yellow-throated toucan), and a little group of agoutis walking around the garden. The house is very clean, well-maintained, and nicely appointed. The pool was always crystal clear and the perfect temperature. The host, Ismael, was amazing. He made check-in a breeze and was very responsive to all of our needs. And he clearly takes care of this amazing house. I cannot say enough about it. We didn’t want to leave. I highly recommend it.

Grande Hacienda with Gardens and Pavilion

The place is simply beautiful, the house is very spacious and the kitchen is too. It has plenty of space to sit in and out, the pool is large and sunshine and shade, it has lots of green areas, indoor parking, and the super wide ranch area. We dyed everything to cook both inside and out, I would definitely come back.

Tropical forest and ocean views

BrookeRating, 5 stars1 month ago
My family had a wonderful stay at Casa Papillon. The house was spacious enough for my group of 7 to feel comfortable and not crowded, and the views from the porch were incredible. My kids enjoyed the waterfall pool, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a corner market and a local restaurant just a quick 8 minute walk down the road. Maria, the concierge for this property, arranged excursions and transportation for us, as well as pre-stocking groceries prior to our arrival. She was also able to have any small maintenance concerns handled right away during our stay. This location felt very private, while also being close to restaurants and shops in the touristy area of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. The best part of our stay was seeing lots of animals right on the property - squirrel monkeys, capuchin monkeys, coatimundis, iguanas, and toucans - all spied from the patio while we enjoyed our morning coffee. Highly recommend!

Great Location! Breathtaking Ocean/Jungle Views

TraceyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Words cannot describe the beauty of both the house and the surroundings. We arrived after dark and when we looked outside in the morning we were met with the most unbelievable view. There were 8 of us and not once did we feel like we were in each other's way. The house is huge!! The daily maid service was absolutely a bonus that we weren't expecting,,, she gave us so much extra time to enjoy ourselves. The wildlife was so much fun. We didn't even want to leave the property because we were scared to miss something. Monkeys galore everyday,, a sloth and a toucan plus lots of others. We walked to so many amazing restaurants and bars. We took ubers to the beach because it would have been quite a long walk. 100 percent rent this place if you are ever considering Manuel Antonio,,, you will not be disappointed.

*Paradise!! Ocean view/ Very Easy*

JessicaRating, 5 stars27 months ago
This property is paradise! The home was bigger and better than the photos. The Pool was bigger than expected and very clean. And the view was breathtaking, the most beautiful sunsets you will ever see. The pool is further away from the house than expected (about 35 steps downhill) but it was ok because it had shelter and a bar with a bar fridge. The ACs worked great and we were always comfortable. We met up with Luis before check in to follow him to the house. He was very informative and kind. You NEED a 4WD vehicle to get to the house. It’s uphill and in a gated and safe area. You can see Manuel Antonio from the top! It’s incredible. We hired Wil Tours Chefs to cook breakfast and dinner for us and the food was delicious. Highly recommend! Every morning I would have coffee and watch a toucan eating in the trees. There are tons of green parrots and other birds. Then we would drive down to the beach and find sloths sleeping in the trees. I definitely recommend staying here.

Casa Brisas de la Montana, Eco Friendly Retreat

JonathanRating, 5 stars4 months ago
What a wonderful stay! Secluded and beautiful, on a hillside with incredible views. Randy arranged for massages on site with Ingrid, and Andrea cooked us a wonderful dinner. He also helped arrange a snorkeling, dinner, and sunset cruise with sunset sales, but before that, we met up with Esteban on Playa Bandero and released baby turtles which he also arranged. Randy has made many contacts and is happy to use them for you!

VILLA ENCANTADA - private home for magical Moments

We had the most incredible time at Villa Encantada. Alex and Janine have a beautiful home, with everything you could ever need. It is clean, welcoming and comfortable. We never wanted to leave. The house is dreamy. The wildlife is magical. The gardens are so beautiful and everything is well maintained. We loved the privacy of the location and it was also easy to get to town. Beautiful villa with pool 200 m from the ocean.

RebeRating, 5 stars16 months ago
This place was a hidden gem. The listing photos don’t do it justice. I wish we could’ve stayed for longer! We went with a big group of 4 adults, 1 elder, 1 baby & 1 dog + the space was spacious enough for all of us to have our own private rooms & to share comfortably in the common areas and kitchen. The location is beautiful & the beach is basically private… for the time of year that we went (between Christmas & New Year) the beach was pretty empty — only a few others around. The surroundings are beautiful for morning or evening strolls with the baby & dog & the pool was the perfect spot to cool down. The cleaning staff were all super friendly & welcoming. The only downside is that the listing said there was wifi and one of the people in our group needed wifi for work, I messaged Sami & she clarified the listing hadn’t been updated. There is wifi by the pool & it barely reached the villa, a couple days in someone came in to put a repeater for us which worked only for a day

Escape to Paradise: Spacious 5BD Ocean & Mt Views

AmyRating, 5 stars32 months ago
Lenore's place is amazing. It is remote, relaxing and gorgeous. It is not for the faint at heart, the road up is intense but the view is worth it. You are right in it with the jungle and get a true Costa Rican experience. It is like glamping. Make sure you bring everything you will need as the supplies are minimal and once you get up there you do not want to leave.
