An excellent place that met my expectations

This place is a gem: right on the beach, really friendly staff, sweet cabinas. We appreciated that they use natural cleaning products and are in general a conscious establishment. Will definitely return!

Read the reviews, see what you're getting into, and you won't be disappointed. We got the top floor unit and knew about all the steps to get to it. We are young and didn't find it to be a problem. The internet was definitely slow for a hotel this size, but it did work. We got anywhere from 15 to 30 Mbps on a speed test. Definitely not enough for someone needed to work remotely. The staff was great, and very friendly. The food at the restaurant was good and we ate there everyday of our stay. We took 3 very different rooms in this property and would definitely consider staying there again on our next trip back to the area. Thank you Mike and team!

Our stay at Jungle Hotel was amazing. It was located in a great location, great price for our stay, and the food was great along with the staff. The pool was so relaxing and the drinks from the bar were great. Would definitely book again.

WOW. We were warmly welcomed and the staff catered to our every needs during our stay. The amenities were incredible, the location was paradise, the room was comfortable and cool, the staff was AMAZING. Pairs of macaws flew over us during an early morning swim, parrots serenaded the night while walking the beach at sunset. It was magical. After a week of exploring Costa Rica, it was a perfect end to our trip. They were able to arrange a last minute 90-minute couples massage for my husband and I, which took place under their outdoor pavilion overlooking the beach. Best massage we have ever had. There is not a single thing more I could have asked for. We are already planning our next trip with our family. We had issues with our previous host & ditched our original place needing to find a place minutes before the sun set. We reached out just 30 minutes before we arrived and knew we had made the right choice the minute we talked onto the property. Best decision we made the whole trip.

Eva was an exceptional host who provided everything we needed for a truly memorable stay. The property was exactly as described—comfortable, cozy, and well-maintained. Each morning began with a delicious breakfast, and the location offered easy access to a variety of local restaurants and shops. Do note that the walk to town involves a steep uphill climb, so be prepared if you’re on foot. That said, the area offers plenty to explore, and the peaceful atmosphere at the property makes for a perfect retreat after a day of adventure. The staff were incredibly kind and attentive, always ready to help with anything we needed. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, charming place to stay while enjoying all the local sights.

The place really met our expectations. A very peaceful place, a small garden full of life. A few meters from the beach, which is huge and very clean. David was always very attentive and showed initiatives to provide recommendations.

Eva and her father were very attentive. The location is very good for mobilizing between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. They quickly resolved some inconveniences we had. Breakfast very good and the girl who prepares it very well. Recommended

Stayed a few days at the hotel, nothing bad to say, great hotel, great staff, good restaurant, lovely plunge pools. Was moved to different room halfway through my stay and got room 11, truly amazing, triple aspect windows with balcony all round, views of the sunset over the ocean, just bliss. More than happy to recommend or to come and stay again

Lovely place to stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Great location. Helped us get a tour last minute. Breakfast offered and was delicious. Beautiful common areas with views to relax.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. It was clean and quiet. Watching it rain from our balcony was a delight. Eva was so helpful, responsive and accommodating. The breakfast was over and above what I expected out of a free breakfast. The plantains were delicious.

We loved staying at La Vela. It’s the perfect location, walking distance to the national park, the beach and restaurants. We enjoyed the happy hour cocktails by the pool and the breakfast was really good. The staff are super nice and friendly. Comfortable and peaceful rooms that feel private, surrounded by pretty gardens. Cute iguanas that regularly hang out around the property too. We also saw a Tucán from the pool! Would definitely stay here again. Good value.
