Bungalow vacation rentals in Bahía Drake

A beautiful stay close to nature! The accommodation is quiet with private beach – perfect for relaxing and experiencing nature. We have seen lots of parrots and a nearby, inconspicuous restaurant offers surprisingly good food. A 4×4 off-road vehicle is absolutely necessary for the approx. 40-minute gravel road to the accommodation. The place is basic but clean, has everything important (cold water, fan, electricity until about 10pm). There are no windows, but screens and curtains everywhere – so well protected. At night it can get warm in the room. Aaron, the manager of the property, was very friendly, available at all times and organized us a romantic sunset canoe tour. Breakfast was delicious and was also served very early if necessary, e.g. before our Corcovado tour. Ideal for nature lovers! Those who expect high comfort should be prepared for the adventure or stay only 1–2 nights. We definitely recommend the place!

We are spontaneously looking for the authentic CR followed our feeling. And we were not disappointed. The journey was spectacular but feasible with the all-wheel drive Jeep, including the river crossings. We were warmly welcomed and treated attentively and unobtrusively throughout our stay. The location is a dream and we found the days there were our most beautiful in CR.

We loved staying here. The surroundings are beautiful, it’s a perfect spot for bird watching. The place is just as pictured, super clean and feels private. It’s less than 5 minutes to the beach and 10 to a supermarket. Can’t recommend more.

We had some trouble locating/accessing Samuel’s place due to the fact that we drove and instructions were unclear. And even though we knew there were rivers to cross, it had rained that day and it was WAY scarier than we expected! Beyond that, Samuels place was great. We loved the accessibility to the beach which was AMAZING and almost always empty!It was unbelievably gorgeous and catching the boats to our tours from the beach was awesome! The restaurant on site is the only option for food due to the remote location. The food was very good and reasonably priced ($12 per meal). You just pay at the end before checking out, very convenient. Samuel was quick to respond to anything we needed and help us solve a couple issues!

We stayed two nights with Johanna and Manuel and would come back any time. Everything is as described and well equipped, the accommodation is centrally located and can be reached in 10 minutes on foot from the beach. Manuel organized us a tour of the national park at very short notice (during the high season) and was even our guide. You can feel how much he loves this profession and the national park and we really saw a lot of animals and learned a lot.

It was a magical experience in a unique place near the Corcovado nature reserve. Samuel sent us the information we needed to be prepared for the adventure!

great little hide away... close to bolita trails for a beautiful hike, and close to town. This house is the highest up from the 3 house. Super nice. Beware that the matress of the queensized bed has been bend in the middle (not in length, but in whith). So it can be somewhat uncomfortable if you are a difficult sleeper.

If I could give this place a thousands stars, I would. We travel a lot and this is on our list of most special places we’ve visited. Susan and Carlos are great. The house is very comfy (great bed, which is rarely to case in CR) and clean, but the property is the real star. The restaurant, bar (best mojito ever) and beach are a short walk away. The path is well made and easy to traverse while also maintaining the integrity of the jungle. The people are so inviting and accommodating and kind. You feel safe and at peace. We will be coming back often.

The place was everything we expect We knew the check in was going to be complicated and only in 4x4 carro then we were ready, the problem is Waze/Google Maps gets lost on the last way to get there and it's hard to know how much is missing to get. Everything else was perfect, the caretaker is super friendly and the super attentive host. I would definitely go back.

Casa Bosque is a magical place with the most rewarding views of the ocean and forest. The balcony is prefect for birdwatching. We also spotted an iguana and a pair of agoutis in the garden. Our hosts were very attentive, helpful and friendly. Drake Bay is a perfect location for spotting wildlife and is very close to Corcovado.
