Would like to give a huge shoutout to Hari for this property. ..It was a pleasant stay for us and was more of a homely feel with good ambience and good surrounding. Hari was a great host and was very responsive with all the quires and kept us in loop from check-in to check-out. well maintained property with almost all amenities provided for us in the entire stay. As name given, the property is surrounded by a lake frontage and outdoor was well equipped with relaxing spots and BBQ point. We were a group of friends meeting after 10 years and wanted a private space with relaxing facilities so that we can share our happiness together. Lake homes was a pure gem for us since we were able to spend most of our time together without any disturbance and during late night we had a good ambience surrounded by good lightings and all we did was sitting the small huts and discussing our lives. Everyone in our group enjoyed the stay and would recommend to any group who prefer to spend time privately.

Highly highly recommend this place. The manager, chef and grounds men are at your disposal and strive to make your experience pleasurable. This included taking a 4 am canoe ride into backwaters that neither a house boat or car can access. It's truly a wonderful experience to stay at Vinis farm.

Biji's place was one of the best experiences I have had in my life, and I think the others in our group of 7 would agree. You must stay here: the place is literally on the Kallada river, a boat can come pick you up from the house and take you on a mangrove tour, and you can even swim just by getting down a few steps. The setting is unbeatable. The house itself seemed all brand new, modern, very comfortable. Even the roof was beautiful, but my favourite feature was the ample 2 porch areas with fans, we basically sat outside the entire time to enjoy the views. Clean, gorgeous, and serene, this place is a must-stay. A lovely lady cooked delicious meals for us for a small extra charge, making the stay even better. Biji's hospitality went beyond all this, he even managed to find a gluten-free cake for our friend's birthday, in addition to helping us arrange cabs and boat ride. Many thanks for this unforgettable stay, Biji. We truly felt we were in God's Own Country.

Stayed at Paro Home Stay with wife & son from 28 Mar 24 to 30 Mar 24. First thing first, what you see (in pictures) is what you get. It is a quaint location and comes bundled with peace & serenity. Away from the rush of any vehicular traffic rather you will hear the sound of house boats passing through the Ashtamudi Lake (Property is located on its banks). Mr Muralee Krishnan is an excellent host and prompt in his response. We faced a major electrical break down (a tree branch fell down on the wiring snapping the main electrical connection to the building) at around 2145 on one of the days during our stay. Mr Muralee Krishnan mustered up help from the State Electricity Board even at those odd hours and the electricity was resumed in about 90 minutes. Thambi (local help) who looks after the chores and the food part is extremely warm and cheerful. All in all one of our best experiences in an Air BnB property.

My husband and I—both musicians—came to Kaayal in Varkala for a secluded retreat to make music, and what we experienced went far beyond our expectations. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed by Nobby, the gracious host, who made sure we felt at home and fully taken care of. The property itself is an absolute gem—nestled by the lake, surrounded by nature, and so serene that we woke up each morning to the sounds of birds and the gentle rustle of leaves. The view of the lake alone is enough to calm your soul and inspire creativity. Special shoutout to Vicky and Kichu, the incredible caretakers who went above and beyond to make our stay effortless and joyful. Whether it was delicious home-cooked meals, piping hot tea within minutes of asking, or just being on standby for anything we needed—they made sure we could focus on what we came to do. The house was spotless, and the bathroom looked like something straight out of an architecture magazine. Highly recommend this Air BnB!

Nous avons passé un séjour exceptionnel sur les îles Munroe grâce à Sethue. La maison est simple, au calme, très bien située pour découvrir les backwaters. Sethue a été aux petits soins pour nous et a rendu notre séjour confortable: promenade en barque, découverte d’un centre Ayurvedique de qualité, petites courses et repas quotidiens pour un coût modique. Le logement est situé près d’une gare ferroviaire (1km) et d’un arrêt de bus local, ce qui rend son accès pratique.

We absolutely loved our stay! The most beautiful and peaceful place, our gorgeous hut couldn’t have been in a more idyllic spot overlooking the lake. Vinor and his team were so kind, it was the kind of place that was hard to leave. The morning yoga sessions were perfect, and in the most idyllic setting. We couldn’t get enough of the delicious food, we particularly loved the breakfasts. Swimming in the lake was pure bliss. We rented a scooter for the afternoon, but venturing out made us realise even more how special this place was. They even collected two coconuts for us to enjoy from up the tree. 10 / 10 if you are looking for a peaceful and restorative place to stay. Thank you Vinor! 🙏

Govind's place is located close to the surfer's beach. This is a super peaceful property away from the main crowd and with access to a number of small secluded beaches within walking distance. The views from the main building are amazing and I did spend a lot of time just sitting in the balcony taking in the views. You could also just lie down in the hammock in the garden for the same experience. We had our car with us and parking was convenient. In most cases, you would need to rent a vehicle to drive across Varkala as a whole. They also do have a vegetarian restaurant for your needs. The next time I need a peaceful stay in Varkala, definitely going back here.

I reached Deepa's place late evening around 9.30 pm from the airport. Her father and uncle helped me into the place as Deepa was on her way. Both Deepa and her husband are always available, and in fact, they helped with some medicines as late as 2 am without any objection. I am absolutely amazed at the way Deepa and her family come together to make your stay comfortable. The food is superb. In fact, I was on a low-carb diet and didn't feel the need to break my routine as she ensured that I got what I wanted. Her recommendation for boating early in the morning was the icing on the cake. I felt absolutely peaceful, and the boatman, also her relative, was a great guide. Munro Garden Homestay is the best place to stay. You can take long walks and even visit a beautiful temple nearby. The river is also about ten minutes away. Deepa and Subin will arrange for cabs and autos for you and will ensure that you are well taken care of.

Alex and Beena were more than a host. One of the best Airbnb stays I’ve had. It was like a home away from home. Be it Beena’s welcome breakfast or Alex being the perfect local guide. We can only give 5 stars on every count - I wish we could give more. Binduraj is a kind, thoughtful and interesting soul and his hospitality was boundless! He showed us round the stunning island, delivered us the most delicious food, and allowed us to check in SO early (even coming to pick us up in his boat at 6am). This was easily one of the best Air BnB experiences I’ve had - the village was amazing, the backwaters beautiful. We even ventured out in his kayak! Could not recommend more.

“A Hidden Gem by the River!” Absolutely loved my stay at this beautiful wooden pod right in front of the river. The location is serene, offering stunning views and a peaceful ambiance. Waking up to the sound of flowing water and birds chirping was a refreshing experience. The pod itself was cozy, well-maintained, and had a warm, rustic charm.
