Just plain wonderful. This felt like real Japan. In three days there, we saw one other western couple, but never felt unwelcome. The house itself is wonderful and comfortable. The owners were so kind, and the entire place was spotlessly clean. I would recommend the Pantry grocery store that the owner mentioned: it is relatively close and it has everything you may need. The walk to the tip of Cape Manazuru and back is about 7 miles, but a bus is available; we preferred walking back, it was so pleasant if you took back alleys. This place is a do not miss, and the price makes it even better.

I stayed with my family with three children.First of all, I was very surprised and surprised.It took time for the room to warm up because it was spacious, but there was air conditioning in each room, which was helpful.There are also two bedrooms on the second floor and a Japanese-style room on the first floor, so I thought it would be enjoyable for a larger group.We couldn't barbecue, but there were tools and dishes.Some of the condiments were expired.In the morning, I woke up comfortably with the sound of birds singing and the sound of the creek.I visited at night, but it was a little difficult to park because I just climbed the hill. Overall, there were children, so I was grateful that it was an entire house.

I had a wonderful time here! Koichi and his wife are very nice 😊 convenient location, beautiful view, etc etc. I especially appreciated the informational brochures and recommendations koichi had, they were super helpful! I felt very safe as a solo female traveler

It's really a surprise!This is the best homestay I have ever😭 stayed in Japan. Although it's a bit tiring to climb up the hill, everything is worth it after entering the villa. The host prepared a lot of beautiful supplies, as well as a lot of ingredients and gifts. All the details are perfect.The private bath is much bigger than it looks in the photos, you don't even have to go out, and it's a lot more cost-effective than a hot spring hotel that costs thousands.The host is also very friendly and communicative.You will fall in love with Hakone because of a homestay, and the conclusion is: I will come back next time!
