Japanese Modern In (Kamakura Rakuan Hanare)

MyungjinRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
It was a clean and beautiful accommodation. The location was close to the railway station, but it was a little awkward to walk around at night because it was a little far from the main road due to the nature of the city. Still, it was very good to feel the old Japanese house, and I want to stay here next time.

Mama-San and Papa-San are some of the best people I’ve met. They are very kind and very personable. I felt like I was at home or at my grandparents house. They gave me great recommendations on things to do in the area. They treated us like family. I would go back in a heartbeat. They also have great food

Retreat Resort Wild nature, private room and onsen

PhilippaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a brief but very relaxing and peaceful stay here. Jun and Kimi are lovely people and the whole place has their kind and warm energy within it. Jun has some fascinating historical facts to share on the area if you are interested, and Kimi makes stunning crystal jewellery. Highlights were their delicious food, the gentle ambient music playing, the beautiful view to the lake from the dining room, the private bath with pure spring water from nearby and the comfy pillows. Only downside was that the mattresses were a little on the thin side for us but I would stay again in a heartbeat. Thank you both for a very memorable stay.
A two-story wooden house is framed by a lush garden filled with vibrant flowers and greenery. Several pots and planters are arranged throughout the garden, adding to the natural ambiance. A simple bench offers a place to sit and enjoy the surroundings.

Thanks for your hospitality!I used it on a graduation trip with my university class, and we were able to relax without worrying about other guests because they handled it as a private rental! You can also BBQ on the lovely kitchen terrace, and I am very satisfied! The European-style room is also very cute, and I would definitely like to stay there again!

Tohru and his wife made me feel at home miles away from it. Tohru always took the steps above and beyond to make sure I felt safe, comfortable and seen. From picking me up from the station, helping me book my next trip, and just talking with me. Tohru made sure I was having the best experience. Be sure to use the bikes he gives you because they changed my experience into something sublime. I would come home to him and his wife and be reminded at how lucky I was to stay at his home. Can’t wait to be back. Peace and love!

Retreat Resort Wild nature, private room and onsen

JannaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
From the moment we arrived, we felt the “peace” that this place is named after. The traditional Japanese sleeping rooms and the untouched, pure nature embraced us right away. The two hosts, Jun (who also offers tours to explore the surrounding shrines and learn more about the local history – which we joined and highly recommend) and Kimi, took care of us with genuine warmth and authenticity. The dinner was also incredibly delicious and authentically Japanese. In the evening you can enjoy the private onsen with Fuji spring water - a very soothing, healing experience. All in all – a clear 10/10, especially for those looking for a break from the hustle and bustle of city life and tourism. This place offers a wonderful opportunity to slow down, disconnect, and experience the mystical side of Japan. Transportation to and from the accommodation was well organized – we were kindly driven by the hosts. Thank you again for your wonderful hospitality – we’ll definitely be back!

If you are concerned about the lack of reviews like I was before then theres no need to worry! This hotel room was the best airbnb I’ve been at before. However, would only recommend if you have a car. The room was brand new. Complimentary wine bottle, beers and snacks. Spacious, luxurious and modern. Warm foot bath on the balcony with a view (not breathtaking but a view nonetheless). Massive bath and toilet, with hotspring bath with adjustable water heat. And a sauna (although we didnt get to use)! Free parking with plenty of spaces. Self-check in easily. Only regret was not spending more time there. Although it is on the more expensive side being a hotel, definitely worth it to wind down from the hustle and bustle of the city.
A spacious room features a large sliding glass door leading to a private terrace, with views of the ocean in the distance. Natural light fills the room, highlighting the wooden floors and traditional decor. An air conditioning unit is mounted on the wall, providing comfort.

This experience made me feel the unique charm of a Japanese tatami inn. The inn is located near Dashi Park, in a great location, about 10 minutes' drive from Kawaguchi Lake Station, with convenient transportation. The quiet surroundings of the hotel allow you to get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy the tranquility of nature. Unfortunately, the weather was not good, I didn't see Mt. Fuji for the first two days, and only saw the main Mt. Fuji when I checked out on the third day, which was a bit of a waste of the advantage of being able to see Mt. Fuji directly from the room.I will come back another day, thank you Wat for your 100% service!
