Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Appelscha

Cottage was equipped with all the comforts, easy to find and beautiful surroundings. Karlien was very helpful and gave clear information. Definitely recommended!

We had a great stay at Steffen's. The house was equipped as described, which we have rarely experienced so far, so we felt very comfortable. The kids went on a journey of discovery and found plenty to keep themselves wonderfully busy. We were in the house for almost 2 weeks right before Easter and we didn't get bored. Most restaurants etc. were already open at least on weekends. Only the boat tours start after our departure on April 19th. (as info for successors who want to travel in the same period... :-)) Steffen responded super quickly and looked for solutions to problems and always had some ready. Thank you so much! We wish you continued wonderful guests who appreciate your gem and treat it well. Maybe see you next time! :-)

We stayed at the property for 3 nights and were completely satisfied! You can reach downtown in about 5 minutes by bike. The small cottage is in a quiet residential area and offers everyday life like at home due to its amenities. The supermarket directly opposite is ideal for everyday use. Communication also went smoothly. We certainly weren't there last time! Thanks very much.

Enjoying the large garden, making friends with cat Willem, looking for an egg every day with the kids, baking mud pies, jumping on the trampoline and sitting by the fire on the covered terrace in the evening. For us 4 adults and 2 kids this was the perfect vacation. Many thanks to Joanne and her family for their hospitality, generosity and all the thoughtful details.

We were two adults and two infants and we enjoyed the stay very much! The surroundings were very child-friendly, nature beautiful for extensive walks, the Capfun was nice for a rainy day for the kids. The hot tub and sauna were easy to use and a great way to relax. We are completely happy with the place - great recommendation! :)

We really enjoyed our stay in the beautiful house. The area is beautiful, you can walk into the nature reserve from the garden. We have lovely hikes and enjoyed the tranquility. The house is cozy and practical, and the three bedrooms are very spacious. Glad there was a built-in shower in the bedroom on the ground floor, and a separate bathroom on the first floor. I'd like to come back again!

Had a perfect stay for a few days. We wanted a weekend of chill and that's what we got :) Sauna and hottub were fantastic for relaxing, especially after a nice walk in the forest. That's all actually! Everything was in order and as expected. Recommended spot for calming down.

Wonderful House at the center of the nature!

Very tasteful, colorful apartment to feel good. Nothing was missing. However, we would have liked to have had a heater in the bathroom and a second duvet. The location is great. Downtown can be reached in 10 minutes by bike. The weekend was lovely!

What a wonderful weekend we had!! Mirjam responds quickly and clearly which is super nice, when we arrived we felt right at home. The cottage is super cozy with a lovely garden and everything was fire clean and tidy. The surroundings are also a 10! There is plenty to see and experience 🤩🤩 We will definitely want to come back some time from the sun. 🥰🥰

Thomas & Marrit's house is really lovely-well thought out apartment. It's a 15 minute drive to Groningen and the surroundings and the house/garden itself are so nice. They were also friendly, flexible & helpful. As shared in the description, there is some noise from passing trains and cars, but you can watch it from the window, and my 3 year old loved that. I also enjoyed staying in the box wall bed, so unique. The kitchen is minimal, with just the essentials and no dishwasher, but it's perfect for a short stay. I would definitely come back to this house and better explore their garden along the water, the trampoline and the piano/stage area that is inside the property when you first walk in.

Cosy stay in Diever. Plenty of room and we were welcomed to use the outdoor space. Niek was very helpful and responsive. Great location within an easy walk to the supermarket and the town centre. Simple and cosy farmhouse style living. Perfect

It was a really great experience, it might be the most beautiful airbnb house I have ever stayed in. The garden and decoration everything was very peaceful. The host Ellen was very helpful, everything you were looking for was at home. As she was always in the same place, we were able to communicate easily. Walking distance to the centre. My experience was nothing short of delightful! We were greeted with an open and warm welcome, complete with delicious traditional treats like oliebollen, appelflappen, kniepertjes, and a cozy, burning Christmas tree. The accommodation was equipped with everything needed. The space and location are perfect for both short and longer stays. Highly recommended!

Now and again you run into an Airbnb like this which ticks all the boxes. Raymond is a great host with excellent communication. His place is super comfortable and luxurious. The kitchen is hyper equipped, the tv surround system is a treat and you can cast your music to the Sonos system . The bathroom is huge and well equipped , the bed is super comfy. The location is in the middle of the woods and due to zero light pollution the starry skies are magnificent. Highly recommended

We (2 adults and 2 small children) had a wonderful weekend in the cottage. It is a spacious house with a large garden. In the garden there was a trampoline and that was according to my children the most beautiful of the weekend. The cottage has everything you'll need such as washer and dryer and a nice fireplace. It was also very nice that things like tea, coffee, hand soap and baking paper were present. The area is beautiful. We will definitely come back again.

We loved our stay in this beautiful house! The house is full of comforts and the beds are very comfortable. There is a large veranda and through the backyard you can walk straight into the woods. The information about the house and the recycling possibilities in the area was extensive and clear. In short, an ideal place for anyone who loves peace, space and nature.

A beautiful house in a beautiful place. Especially the large living space on the first floor, overlooking the water and a sheltered outdoor space to sit outside (already in April) stand out. The area is accessible, has a lot to do, also within walking distance. Highly recommended.

Very nice and spacious place to relax and cook and dine! The house is located between other (detached) houses but has plenty of privacy and a very well-maintained garden with many cozy seats and user comforts. We loved the hot tub, sauna and BBQ facilities.

We were there with a group of 6 people over SIlvester. The house is great, the layout in kitchen/dining area/living room was top. We felt comfortable as a group quickly.

In the middle of the woods and among the estates. Excellent starting location for walking. Restaurant and Grand Cafe within walking distance and there also opportunity to charge electric car. We had a very nice midweek there. Communication with host Elbert is fast and enjoyable. Always responds quite smoothly. Certainly subject to repetition.

Our stay with Margriet corresponded in all points to the photos and description. The house is spacious, especially downstairs with a large dining table and enough seating for 8 people. Tastefully styled, practical and plenty of kitchen utensils, a beautiful sun terrace and a super boathouse with canoes and saps, the absolute highlight for the grandchildren. They hadn't expected anything so nice (because Grandma had skimmed over it in the description). Therefore, this was our absolute highlight at Margriet's. Martina and family in April 2025
