It’s all been said before but La Petite Burnie really is a gem. A lovely restoration of an old barn, really well equipped and with endless outside space so you can find the sun at any time of the day. Above all a really generous and welcoming host. Thank you Christian.

Wedding weekend at Château de Brie (if you are sightseeing in the area, this beautiful estate can be visited) we enjoyed our few hours of rest in Jeannette's very peaceful little house. We couldn't meet but we had very good exchanges with Jeannette to prepare for our arrival.

Beautiful home in a beautiful part of the country. Very peaceful location yet less than 5 minutes drive from Brantome centre. Host was very helpful and responsive and had a whole list of recommendations for local restaurants, places to go, etc etc. Wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

A truly unforgettable stay! This private, spacious boathouse was an absolute dream. From the moment we arrived, we were wowed by the unique character and thoughtful design—especially the stunning bolted ceiling that give the space more charm with a touch of grandeur. The bed was comfortable, making every night restful and serene. The bathroom was great with a big walk-in shower, and heated floors were a luxurious bonus we didn’t know we needed! Everything was spot on, blending comfort with a sense of adventure. If you’re looking for a stay that’s both cozy and strikingly unique, this is it!

Wow!! Marie's house was beautiful and in lovely, tranquil surroundings. We were a party of 5 and the house and amenities were perfect. It was great to have a swimming pool to cool off from the summer sun. We booked for a week at a late stage but from the first enquiry to Marie and throughout our time there Marie was always very quick and helpful to respond. We absolutely recommend this wonderful house and host, but hopefully there will still be the opportunity for us to book again when we are in the Charente.

Thank you for this charming cottage, we had a great time there with the family. The garden is superb, wooded, quiet and pleasant. The coolness of the house is very nice in summer. Everything is as described, with a bonus of toy bins for kids!! :)

Fab place. We loved the use of the kayaks, and the pool was great. Very comfy beds. Kitchen was very well equipped. Only a 6 mins drive to a hypermarket and very quiet roads . Tony was very helpful and friendly. We would come again. Thoroughly recommend.

We were welcomed as friends and then left to settle in and soak up the surroundings, which are just sublime. The lake and surrounding landscaping are a huge credit to Guy and Christina, just beautiful. I was helped, a lot, by Guy in my angling efforts. I managed a huge catfish which he put me onto, a memorable experience. The carp I caught, all in the mid to high twenties, were all in good condition and were returned in the same state. We would love to return next year, if time and health allow, but if not, a massive thank you to Christina and Guy for making us so welcome, your restaurant is brilliant too! Valerie's accommodation is really peaceful and pleasant. We had a pleasant stay and were able to enjoy the spa every day. The village is very charming and quiet. We recommend this listing for those looking for peace and quiet. We'll be happy to go back!

We had a great stay at Julie and Julien's house house. The place is perfect and its location is great. The restaurant Le Moghol 1 minute walk is excellent, and the bakery Ô'5sens 5 minutes away is also a feast. We'll be happy to go back!

Really a pleasure to stay at the castle. The place is green, shady, quiet, relaxing. The small apartment is perfect for a couple, we felt very good there. Communication with the hosts was easy, calm, relaxed. And, cherry on top, it was even nice and warm! Given the weather at the beginning of spring, we seriously believe that our hosts have connections with the Ministry of the Sun. It's likely that we'll find ourselves "châtelains" again in the future...
