A "Tiny Cabin", there is 1 full bed. No sleeper sofa. The kitchen counters are refurbished old barn doors, the long wall is pallet wood, the wood floors have been torched and sealed for a rustic look. The cabin is 12x20, perfect for two guests and a small child can sleep on the loveseat (not a pullout) There is one full bed in the cabin. It is a dry cabin, (no ability to shower) We do provide a counter top water system (5 gallon jugs) to freshen up and bottled water in the refrigerator.

Located 13 miles from Wasilla makes this spot ideal as your hub to exploring Alaska. We are happy to host your pets. Please do your best to clean up after them so we can keep our cleaning fees low.

I cannot imagine a more picturesque or tranquil retreat than Renae's cottage. The bed is so comfortable, the natural light and all the windows are so inviting, and the views truly are one-of-a-kind. I stayed here for three nights and felt so relaxed and rejuvenated afterward. There's chickens, dogs, horses, amazing homemade breakfasts, and State Park trails a few minutes walk away. Renae is so warm and inviting to talk to, as is her husband, and they are such hospitable and genuine people. I wish I could have stayed longer, or just never left! You do need to be comfortable with stairs (to the bathroom) and ladders (to the loft bed). The last 3/4 mile or so is a gravel road that is...dodgy. My little rental car did make it, but I would want to only make the trip once in little vehicles!

A group of four, two moms and two 5-year-olds, had a fantastic two night stay! The community kitchen and lounge was the perfect place for one mom to take one 5-year-old, as soon as they woke up or needed space. As a result, all four in the group had two great nights of sleep! We owe this unexpected fortune to this excellent set up. Bonus, meeting the other guests in the community kitchen! Like minded forest people! Plenty of room for the children to play, or do activities at the table. Plenty of counter-space to share, and make meals, and not feel “too in each others space”. The stove is excellent! And the water from the kitchen tap tastes terrific! I believe all the cabins were full, and we had plenty of hot water for showers, etc. The kids, especially enjoyed playing with the barn, and the many many farm animals! Again, plenty to share! Best part for me was the solitude when sitting on the porch, facing the creek. The full forest view, and the sound of the water is immersive. BRB ❤️

Great place to stay at for cheap and temporarily. Easy on the pockets, easy access to alot of essentials, and has the essentials you'll need in the house. Parking area is hidden and easily passed, especially at night. Definitely tricky to park during busy traffic. However the host was great and explained everything clearly along with how you should approach the issues. Loved how the host was very in-depth about things such as parking, how to work appliances, and the things in the house. Shows that although the place is small and ran down, the host still cares about your experience and your well being. Would rent again if needed a place to stay momentarily on the cheap.

Arrived late and left early, but a great, convenient place to stay! There was a fire pit with chairs and a hammock right behind our cabin that we didn’t have enough time to use! The lodge has 3 very clean bathrooms with plenty of clean towels for you to use! Cold breakfast included in the morning! Maria was friendly and helpful! Very cute place, would recommend!
