We loved our week at Ivy Cottage. Our boys loved the football nets and we all loved the hot tub! The house had everything we needed and we really appreciated the little added extras that made it feel very homely. Great location too. We’ll be back!

Fabulous place to stay. Susan and Phil great hosts. Always available to answer questions but not in any way intrusive. Accommodation is first class/absolutely faultless. Ideal location for visiting the many surrounding towns and attractions. Would highly recommend Susan and Phil's place.

I absolutely loved our stay at Barnacre Alpacas, we stayed in the rose cottage, it was very clean and the hot tub was a bonus. We enjoyed the alpaca walk and talk, that was something I’ll never forget! On arrival the cottage was dressed up for a birthday surprise and champagne and chocolates was left for us. Thank you to Paul and Debbie, we will be back!

Stanley Cottage is a little gem, near to the beach, easy access to supermarkets and in a friendly neighbourhood. The hot tub was a highlight, along with the outside room with its ensuite and TV.. a hit with my teenager. Thoughtful supplies on arrival. Thank you Ben.

Angela’s place was fabulous, we have young children and Angela went above and beyond to make our stay great, would definitely recommend to others, Angela is a wonderful host! The cottage is also very well equipped and clean!

Lovely spacious, clean house with beautiful garden and excellent facilities. As 2 families of 4 this house was more than ample and well supplied with everything we needed. We made good use of the hot tub and large garden. It’s located just off the A1 but noise was minimal. There isn’t much in the way of walkable facilities but we did travel 5 mins to a nearby pub by car for a meal which was lovely. It’s a good location for visiting nearby beaches and we also went to Cragside which our children enjoyed. Thanks for a lovely getaway Anna!

Mark’s and Michelle’s home is by far the best place we’ve stayed in. Everything’s exactly what was in the description— all the amenities are well cared for and the attention to detail are well thought of. So you can also expect a luxurious and pleasant getaway for a reasonable price. Thank you again to you both for your warm hospitality! We’ve had perfect and relaxing weekend rest. We’ll for sure come back— a little longer stay next time.

We had a lovely stay. The house is beautiful and well presented. Location is great enough out of the way to relax but close enough to lots of different things to do to keep the kids busy. Well equipped with everything you could need to make the stay easy and comfortable.

We had a great time at Clare’s lovely cottage with our dog. Clare’s communication since the moment we booked was great and she was very helpful. The check in process was really easy and simple. The cottage was spotlessly clean when we arrived and the welcome hamper with lovely fresh bread, A delicious lemon drizzle cake, wine and bacon was a lovely touch. The location of the cottage is excellent, a stones throw away from the local pub which serves lovely meals, The beach is a nice 20 minute or so walk away and is excellent if you have a dog. Overall really pleased with the stay and will definetly be returning.

Lovely cottage that had everything we neede! in beautiful surroundings. Debi and Mike were really great hosts who communicated well, as well as going the extra mile by putting birthday decorations up for my husband's birthday! We'll definitely be back!

The Hemmel was a really nice cottage to stay in. It's probably one of the best airbnb's we've been to. Kate was very nice and helpful. The photos don't do it justice as it's even better in the flesh. We were a family of 4 including a baby and it was super comfortable. The cottage is very private and peaceful. The lambs were out when we were there and we saw the red squirrel in garden each day. We'd would definitely return.

First time I have used AirBB and I was really pleased I did. Jane's place is absolutely fab. The location is great for the town centre and the harbour. Had great food all three nights. Went out in the car to various locations and castles in the area and went walking. The cottage was exactly as described and was clean and tidy. Will be going later on in year or definately next year. Thank Ypo Jane for letting me stay in your loverly cottage.

Had a lovely stay here. Great location in the centre of the village but still peaceful. The house had everything we needed. Very friendly staff on the hotel reception. We would love to come back.

We had a lovely stay in the cottage, it was clean & tidy, loved the wood burner, the bedrooms were lovely especially the master bedroom…very comfy bed. Loved the garden with lots of different seating areas, beautiful view & very peaceful. A 2 minute walk up to the town for shops, restaurants & bars & a 5 minute walk down to the dairy milk bar for fabulous ice creams & milkshakes. Lots of gorgeous near by walks too. A lovely stay & would definitely book again. Thank you Pam.

We’ve just arrived home from another amazing stay at the beautiful Border View cottage. Lucy is a fantastic host: super responsive, friendly and makes you right feel at home. Border View is a wonderfully charming cottage with spacious, airy rooms and amazing views. It is a very private and peaceful location and offers an array of nature walks which my little miniature schnauzer loved! You feel out of the way of the hustle and bustle, but still just a short car ride away from the busier villages in the area. To the rear of the property is a large garden with views across the pretty field and beyond - my favourite part was watching the stars at night as the sky is so clear here - beautiful! Lucy’s cottage is beautiful and has everything you need for a cosy stay including a log fire with logs kindly provided, a large kitchen and dining area and the beds are very comfortable.
