Family-friendly vacation rentals in Amador County

This is such a sweet cabin stocked with everything you would need to enjoy your time in the mountains. We had a great time and Kayla is an excellent host. The view is beautiful!

The place was as the pictures suggested, peaceful and serene, very close to a mid sized lake, so we had a good time walking around the area and spending time at the lake. There was also a children's play area next to the lake, very close to the house, so our kids (aged 4 and 7) loved spending time there as well. The house was stocked with all the basic amenities and was clean as well. We enjoyed our time at Kelley's house!!

Easy access to BLS amenities, quiet court location with some great walking just in the neighborhood. We really appreciate the dog friendly homes. Our fur babies absolutely loved it too!

We had a great time during our 2 night stay at this cabin. My friends and I were pleased with the state of the house - the bedrooms and bathrooms were clean, and the kitchen had everything we needed. The furniture may not have been the most comfy or modern, but it was homey. And it was nice to be not be stressed about pristine furniture with our 2 dogs hanging out. This was one of the best sized hot tubs I've seen at an airbnb, 4 sturdy sized adults fit in it with plenty of elbow room. We ended up getting a little snowed in so we didn't get to go out much beyond the surrounding yard, but there were a couple charming bars in the area, and some cute restaurants in the nearby town. Would absolutely come back to explore, wish we could have stayed longer!

Definitely saving this property and will rent it again. It is very well secluded, right next to the lake. The store is right around the corner less than a five minute drive The bedrooms were spacious, and I love how they had it sectioned off for multiple families to be staying there at once. The pool table sticks were straight and not bent and then Benjamin Isaiah been accustomed to find at rentals. The hot tub is a very nice one with massage jets and multiple settings. There is a dog run for your fur puppy to go to the bathroom. Almost each room has its own TV, the Wi-Fi was fast and strong signal. I was impressed and would highly recommend this airBnB. Five stars hands-down.

This cabin was everything we could have hoped for! Huge hot tub on a wraparound deck that had a fence so our dog could be outside but not free on the property. Wood burning furnace inside was a favorite feature for my husband and I. Our dog loved laying in front of the fire. 10/10 would recommend 🙂

Great stay! House was exactly as advertised; but even bigger. Honestly, the fenced in front yard was amazing for our dog. Had the best time sitting outside while the dog sniffed around; living his best life. While the whole family enjoyed the house, I think our dog may have enjoyed it the most!

What was great: The bedroom configuration worked great for our family of 5, with room to spare. Beautiful setting amongst the trees, with sunrise views through the main window. Well stocked kitchen. Close to Bear Valley Ski Resort. Using the fireplace every day. What could have been better: Hot Tub water was musky/murky. Check in and check out procedure required driving an extra 20 mins on both ends (pick up and drop off are at Bear Valley resort). Lots of automated communications, much of which was duplicative and included text that reads "Click Here," but is not an actual URL/Link. Having to pack out all trash. Slow internet Despite some opportunities for improvement, especially at this price point, we had a lovely time and found communications with staff -- once we were there -- easy and responsive. Getting to the ski resort was easy and the place worked well for us. We would stay again!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Workshop! This place immediately felt like home - if our home was full of the most amazing antiques. Gail also added thoughtful touches for our dog, and even had a balloon waiting to celebrate a birthday. I would absolutely stay here again.

I have stayed here 3 times and each time is lovely. The house is comfortable and clean and the landscape is beautiful. Didn't want to leave.

We had a great time staying at the cabin. It’s rustic and charming. We were happy not to have any snow, but we were able to easily travel up to Bear Valley for skiing and sledding. There are lots of nearby amenities and just a short drive to the grocery store and restaurants. The cabin was very warm and the kitchen was well stocked. We enjoyed watching the DVDs and playing with the games. The beds are also super comfortable. We would definitely stay there again.

We all loved the house, the surroundings, and peaceful/quiet setting. It was comfortable, clean, well stocked, etc. Everything regarding our stay was A+! The pool table was a big hit too. Don & Cynthia are extremely helpful & went above & beyond to make our stay enjoyable. Our group had a wonderful time and we would love to come back. Thank you for letting us use your beautiful home.

Loved our stay. The house was very comfortable and well appointed. Elliot gave great instructions on finding the home. We BBQ'd the first night. played games and generally had a great time. Everything was very comfortable. Highly recommend, we would definitely go back and stay.

We told her the dogs were fine to meet us and they were super friendly and wanted to play fetch with pinecones. We got to see the turtles, feed young sheep with a bottle and share cookies with the male sheep. Check-in was super easy. She sent all information beforehand and had the windows open and the house cool when we fot there. There are radiator heaters that warm the place up nicely. Bed was comfortable and there are tons of extra pillows and blankets. Tina was great. She was available and checked on us if she saw us outside, but was not bothersome at all and left us to enjoy the place.

This place was wonderful! It has such a cozy and comfortable vibe. It was clean, VERY well stocked with anything we could possibly need, and so cute! I can’t think of anything that could have made it better, other than maybe a longer trip to stay there. I would absolutely recommend the dome to others.

We had a great stay at Connie’s cabin. Our trip was two couples, each with a toddler. The space was very well set up to allow us to put each kid down and still have board game nights after they were asleep. The cabin had a very lived in and homey vibe - which is what we were looking for! You could definitely tell the family has gotten lots of great use out of the house over the years!

The house is in a great location - you can walk to the Rec Center which made our lives pretty easy. You can hear cars throughout the day (the house is close to a busy road), but they were out in the distance and it didn't bother us a bit. The house was organized - we had plenty of room for two families. Patsy provided linens, towels, soap and shampoo and more. The pantry was well stocked with basic staples. We were there when it was HOT (over 100 degrees in some days) - the room air-conditioning in the main living space was enough to keep us cool. Patsy also had a system for working out the fans in the bedrooms that worked out well for us. I also appreciate that Patsy and Roger are great communicators - we had all the info we needed before we arrived. Whenever we had a question, they were prompt in replying. I'd definitely stay over in this special place in Arnold.

This was an amazing retreat. The cabin is picture perfect. It was cozy and fun. The game room is a great bonus. Fun for the whole family. It felt safe and peaceful.

One-of-a-kind home (two of a kind, I guess, if you count the CO version) made an unforgettable experience for our family (5 adults, 3 kids and 2 pups)!! Thoughtful consideration seeped in every nook and cranny! 1) brilliant open layout strikes perfect balance between having a corner/plenty of room for everyone, yet still with a lovely sense of togetherness; 2) exceptionally well-equipped and spacious kitchen; 3) play closet with enough toys and board games to keep our 2yo toddler and pre-teen girls equally entertained; 4) winter gear to borrow -- sleds, snowshoes, etc. -- kids spent hours playing in the hill across the street (within sight from the cabin). In terms of virtually every amenity -- from quality kitchenware, comfy beds, toiletries, extra blankets, towels, spare friggin' batteries -- the Chesa Madrisa was a couple notches above what one should be able to reasonably expect from a vacation rental! Hillary was an absolute joy to communicate -- we can't wait to be back!

We loved our stay at the cottage! Super easy check-in and convenient parking right next to the cottage. Helen was extremely friendly and proactive to ensure our stay was great. When we realized we forgot a power adapter, she went above and beyond to lend one to us. I especially enjoyed grilling out on the large back deck. We highly recommend booking here!

This cabin was amazing. My family and I had so much fun there. Unfortunately, there was no snow as we expected, but a 30-minute drive to Bear Valley was not bad to have fun. It ended up being a good thing since we didn't always have to deal with snow. I will come back!
