Hotel vacation rentals in Allerdale District

A last minute cancellation with another property led us to find this one, and we're very glad we did! A beautiful, peaceful location with lovely grounds for the kids (and dog) to play in, and great local walks (there are so many useful guides/maps in the property). The hot tub is such a bonus, and the sheltered veranda allowed us to stay outside even though the weather wasn't amazing. We appreciated the fresh bread/cake/eggs/milk; the cake did not last long 😂. Local village has great pubs, and it's just a short drive to Kirkby Stephen for everything else. Tebay services also convenient for fast charging the EV and a bit of breakfast/shopping. We only had three days, but I'm sure we'll be back again. Thanks for a lovely break ☺️

Jean’s place was exactly what we wanted. Clean, tidy, and in a prime location to see what nature has to offer. A beautiful place surrounded by more beauty. Jean was extremely friendly and accommodating toward my wife and I and we’ll definitely choose to stay there again when we’re back that way. Thanks for an enjoyable stay Jean.

Honestly a perfect stay. Room faultless. Warm. Gorgeous bed and bedding. Fantastic shower. 20 min walk into Kendal town centre. Would def stay again!

Absolutely amazing hotel. Room was very clean and had everything we needed. Towels and snacks were changed frequently which was amazing. Swimming pool and jacuzzi were absolutely amazing and free to use for all guests. The area does not have many shops/restaurants but that is not a reason to not stay here!

The hotel was exactly what we expected and hoped for - great location by the lake with boating & cafés, easy 10 minute walk into town and short drive to fabulous walks or we could even have done walks direct from the hotel. Checkin was friendly, the room was very comfortable and it was nice to have a bar in which to end an evening out.

Lovely place to stay if visiting Windermere or Bowness On Windermere!! Brittany was lovely and responded quickly to our messages. Check in was great and easy. The room was lovely and we will be returning!

This place was a fabulous find, so close to the centre of beautiful Hawkshead and everything the village has to offer. Thank you Jane for letting me into the property earlier than check in time....it meant I was able to get to a wedding on time without having to get ready in a public loo 😂 very greatful for that and especially greatful to your fabulous cleaning team who worked even harder to make that happen for me. The breakfast looked as though it would have been lovely, but the bed was so comfy that we slept right through the delivery 😂 Truly wish I'd booked another night and would definitely stay again. We really enjoyed our stay. You are about 2 minutes from the centre of Keswick and you don’t need to drive anywhere to get started on some great walks. The breakfast was good, the topping up of biscuits in the room, easy to park outside. Would recommend and come back. Thanks to our hosts
