We celebrated my wife's 30 Birthday and had the best time in the most beautiful cabin. Peaceful and quiet. We loved that the host had a birthday cake on the table for us along with Eggs milk and a loaf of bread. Thanks for the most memorable holiday. Matt

It was my 2nd time staying here and brought my partner, parents and brother along this time. The space was perfect for us all and the view was more beautiful than I remember. Absolutely love the location, but hopefully one day I'll actually visit Scotland and it'll not rain!

Gorgeous immaculate lodge working close driving distance to both Cockermouth and Keswick and a great base for exploring the lakes. Park is very peaceful and lodge exactly as described. Immaculately clean with everything you need to enjoy your stay. Would thoroughly recommend and will definitely book again

Lodge was more spacious than expected. Joanne was very quick to respond and gave us recommendations. The caravan park is very peaceful, lovely surroundings and very clean and tidy. There isn’t a lot to do if you have kids which is fine as we were looking for peace and quiet after long days out with them. Price was great value. Thanks!

We had a three-night stay at Louise’s lodge with our two toddlers and dog and it was perfect! Before our stay Louise sent very helpful and clear instructions on how to find the lodge which was great as she advised phone reception can be patchy in the area (I would recommend using the what3words app as location was very accurate!). The lodge itself was perfectly clean, no issues anywhere at all! We were very happy with everything in the lodge, definitely one of the nicest/cleanest ones we have stayed in. Louise was also kind enough to leave a home-baked treat for us on arrival, a delicious lemon drizzle cake, safe to say it didn’t last long! Location was enclosed as mentioned in description, so it was perfect for our toddlers and dog to go exploring. I’m running out of space to give a full review, but we had a brilliant time at the lodge. The location was lovely and peaceful! Our boys were even lucky enough to meet the farm animals which they loved! We hope to be back soon!

Nice spot. felt isolated even though farm nearby and another renter. walks from the door and a good spot for places in south lakes. Emma was a great host, responsive, put a Christmas tree up for us which was a lovely touch. all cutlery and kitchen utensils were available. sharp knives always pleasing! Bathrooms, towels etc all present and clean. definitely recommend

Such a wonderful lodge stay, while compact and efficient in the use of space, it was actually large and roomy (compared with other similar cabin properties). Very decent kitchen space, and a full size dining table. Lovely comfy sofa, and the bed was a very comfortable nights sleep. Large roomy shower room, our only criticism was that the shower pressure was poor (but, rural location, up in the hills, one can understand!!). Location was near to a lovely idyllic river, and there was a private outdoor sitting space where it got the last sun of the day. We had a very wonderful 3 days.

What a great few days we had here. All the bits and pieces you need for your break and the tea and toast on arrival were much appreciated. The location is gorgeous and so peaceful but still plenty to keep 2 kids occupied.

We had a fantastic week staying at the lodge, everything was pristine and as described with more amenities than you could have wished for, we were also greeted with 2 boxes of goodies from a local bakery! SECLUDED UNIQUE SELF CATERING LOG CABIN

The property is a hexagonal wooden cabin, tucked away in a secluded spot convenient for birdwatchers (RSPB reserves and WWT Caerlaverock are nearby), dog-walking at the fantastic Sandy Hills beach and hiking along the coast. Nonetheless it is only half an hour's drive from Dumfries and/or Castle Douglas. The lodge has lovely views down to the Solway Firth across to the Cumbrian Hills and beautiful night skies. We stayed between Christmas and New Year, when we experienced wild and wet weather as well as deep frosts, but the cabin was always warm and cosy. The open plan kitchen/living area was greatly appreciated, as were the two bathrooms. This was a lived-in but very comfortable space. We all felt at home here, including the dog.

Really bright airy chalet, but surprisingly warm and cozy. Fab views over the fields to Criffel and just a stones throw from the shore. Nights filled with the call of Curlews and a sky full of stars. Well placed for walks along the beautiful Solway firth, over hills and through woodland.

Hi we had a fantastic stay here. Lots of room for us all and very comfortable. The pictures really didn't do it justice it's so much better in person. The only little issue we had is the rug in the living space was very slippy on the wood floor, and resulted in a few falls and trips. Other than that it was a beautiful stay we really enjoyed it.

The holiday lodge is a charming wooden structure, featuring a sloped roof and large windows that allow for natural light. The entrance is shaded by an overhang, and outdoor seating is arranged on the porch, framed by a well-maintained lawn and surrounding greenery.

We had a lovely couple of nights in this very spacious but cosy lodge. It is very close to the beach which is perfect for walking the dogs and 5 minute walk to the pub - perfect!

What a beautiful and peaceful lodge to stay in. We stayed as a family of five and the lodge is spacious and so peaceful. It’s surrounded by nature’s playground. Loved the beaches, mountain biking in the local Forrests, walking coastal paths and seeing the local towns. 100% recommend staying here, we’ll be back

Lovely location, kind and friendly host, spacious yet cosy and pleasant cabin. Really enjoyed my stay - beautiful view, right on the beach, lovely long walks. Cabin was clean, warm, and comfortable, utilities worked well, great shower. Birds and bunnies to watch in the morning, a very peaceful space.
