Cozy little house

Cozy little house, located on farm, Ål in Hallingdal. On the farm, in the neighboring house, there is a family of 5 + two dogs, and in the barn we have sheep. In April/May there is the possibility to greet lambs and experience paralysis. 15 min from city centre 5 min to 24-hour grocery store. 5 min to Ål ski center. 10 minutes to ski slopes in the mountains. The student union house consists of: 1st floor: hallway, living room, kitchen and bathroom. 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms- # 1 with double bed, # 2 with double bed and single bed. Unique & idyllic cabin on high mountain. The cottage is located about 1000 m above sea level with stunning views of the mountain world. Modernly furnished with all amenities such as shower, floor heating, fireplace and large panoramic windows. Great hiking terrain at your doorstep both winter and summer time. Bathing area can also be found close to the cabin. Car road all the way to the cabin during summer time. In winter time it is about 3 km from parking to the cabin. THE CABIN - is a newly built cabin (2024), located in a small cabin area on Oppheimsåsen with quiet surroundings. This is a cabin that is excellent for the extended family, or several families. The cabin has a high and modern standard. There are ski slopes right outside, bike path, fishing water, as well as several mountain hikes nearby. Delicate cabin surrounded by Hallingdal's beautiful mountains

Stylish and cozy funkish cottage built in 2019. The cottage is located right by the Hallingdalselva river,just 2 km from the center of Ål. High and low climbing park is only 300m away, and about 500m away is Strandafjorden swimming area! Ål ski center is 8 km and to Geilo only 23 km. Hemsedal ski center is 56 km from the cabin. Hardangervidda about 35 km. On the mountains around, you can pick and choose from amazing ski slopes in winter and walking paths in the summer! The activity opportunities are just as good both winter and summer!

Hiking - and fishing terrain easily accessible; a large network of ski slopes, bikes - and hiking trails. It is only 6 km up to the high mountain in Skarvheimen where you see Reineskarvet and Hallingkarvet. The cabin is by itself and it goes all the way. If you are enjoying quiet and scenic surroundings, it is worth taking the trip here.

The sanitary is in a building ca 15m away (shower and toilet). 6 beds (1 sofa bed, 1 double bed 2 other beds). Recommended for 4 persons. There is no tap water in the cabin, but there is a sink, and it is possible to use buckets with water. Electric radiator, kettle, oven and refrigerator, coffee maker.

Located at 930 meters above sea level, ski conditions are secured in the winter time, but also plenty of activity and swimming opportunities in the summer. Well arranged for families with kids of all ages. Winter breeze up to the cabin, and ski in ski out (cross country).

Our stay here was incredible. We booked for 4 people but this place could easily accommodate 8. The place was clean and tidy and offered everything we needed and more, with beautiful surroundings and a private and authentic feel. Things like extra towels, a pantry with some basic items like rice and pasta, food in the freezer and an easy to use washing machine and dryer really made us feel well looked after. We stayed when temperatures were between -10 and -18 Celsius but the house always felt cosy. The nearest Ski bus stop is a 7-10 minute walk away and the nearest supermarket and ‘town’ area are a 25 minute walk away. If you enjoy walking then the location is fine but we opted to hire a car from the airport to use for our transfers which I would highly recommend. This made collecting ski hire, shopping and travelling to the different slopes much easier as there is lots of parking areas. 10/10 stay. I have already recommended to friends and family.

This place has its interesting family history, love the interior decor a lot, especially the kitchen. But the best part is the garden. We were lucky that it was sunny and we spend the whole morning having breakfast and just chilling. Great starting point for hikes/walks and a great stop on the way from/to Oslo. Kristin met us when we arrived and she was very nice. Much recommended 👍

very good location and birthe's is nice host.always responsing if needed and helpfull. we came from denmark by drive and came late night .we easily could able ro get access in the apartment, big space for common areas and big kitchen in common area. super market kiqi is just oposite of the house and it was easier to find out our groceries . around location and tourist apot is awesome . ii stayed 5 night with my kids and family. i recommend birthe's place is super for visitors.

Lovely place, good beds and well-equipped kitchen. It has a beautiful view of Geilo. However, the winter sun is so low that the cabin is a part in the shade, but it didn't matter to us as we skis all day and were able to turn on the cozy bio fireplace when we got home.

Our stay with Paula was so great! She is super sweet and caring, we loved the privacy of the apartment in combination with our chats when coming in or leaving the apartment! The area is great for snowkiting, skiing and cross-country skiing, so we did all that and then came back home to this lovely warm place with a hot shower, great bed and cute christmas decorations. Thanks Paula for this warm welcome to Norway!

Had an incredible time in the cabin. Was even nicer and cozier than the pictures. It was the fire in the fireplace when we arrived and we were greeted by nice people. The cabin was in a very quiet area, a very short drive to the ski center. Got great service and everything we needed. All in all a very nice experience, recommend going here!

Lovely cabin with modern and personal decor, just to use. Deliciously equipped with dishes and large fridge and freezer. Clean and tidy in attendance and easy to clean up. Good mattresses in the beds and cozy furniture in good quality. Extremely satisfied from here. Bjørn responded quickly and graciously to questions. We took good care of everything.
