Cozy little house

Cozy little house, located on farm, Ål in Hallingdal. On the farm, in the neighboring house, there is a family of 5 + two dogs, and in the barn we have sheep. In April/May there is the possibility to greet lambs and experience paralysis. 15 min from city centre 5 min to 24-hour grocery store. 5 min to Ål ski center. 10 minutes to ski slopes in the mountains. The student union house consists of: 1st floor: hallway, living room, kitchen and bathroom. 2nd floor: 2 bedrooms- # 1 with double bed, # 2 with double bed and single bed. Unique & idyllic cabin on high mountain. The cottage is located about 1000 m above sea level with stunning views of the mountain world. Modernly furnished with all amenities such as shower, floor heating, fireplace and large panoramic windows. Great hiking terrain at your doorstep both winter and summer time. Bathing area can also be found close to the cabin. Car road all the way to the cabin during summer time. In winter time it is about 3 km from parking to the cabin. Stylish and cozy funkish cottage built in 2019. The cottage is located right by the Hallingdalselva river,just 2 km from the center of Ål. High and low climbing park is only 300m away, and about 500m away is Strandafjorden swimming area! Ål ski center is 8 km and to Geilo only 23 km. Hemsedal ski center is 56 km from the cabin. Hardangervidda about 35 km. On the mountains around, you can pick and choose from amazing ski slopes in winter and walking paths in the summer! The activity opportunities are just as good both winter and summer!

Hilde received us extraordinarily warmly. Explained everything well and invited us to attend an exhibition at the Kulturhuset van Al. That was well worth it.

This Airbnb was an absolute dream for our family! The place is incredibly spacious, offering plenty of room to spread out and relax. We especially loved the nice surrounding views, which were a beautiful backdrop to our stay. Its proximity to the Hemsedal ski center. We also appreciated how groceries are nearby, making it easy to stock up on essentials. Our kids were thrilled with the designated place for kids, equipped with a lot of toys – it kept them entertained for hours! The jacuzzi was a fantastic bonus, perfect for unwinding after a day of travel. Beyond the fantastic amenities, the host was really responsive, making communication a breeze. We were particularly impressed that most of the stuff was provided, including all the kitchen utensils, which made cooking and dining effortless. We highly recommend this Airbnb for families looking for a comfortable and enjoyable long stay. It truly felt like a home away from home. We can't wait to come back!

Very nice and welcoming host. Communication went well when I reserved on behalf of my colleagues. They had a cozy stay with everything they needed. Everything was clean. Would highly recommend!

The owners had decorated it very cozily for Christmas with even a real fresh Christmas tree and a bag with accessories so our kids could set up the tree. super nice!! Really a great house with all the comforts . Beautiful views. Quiet. Very nice, friendly people. Highly recommended! We definitely hope to be able to go here again!!! This place has its interesting family history, love the interior decor a lot, especially the kitchen. But the best part is the garden. We were lucky that it was sunny and we spend the whole morning having breakfast and just chilling. Great starting point for hikes/walks and a great stop on the way from/to Oslo. Kristin met us when we arrived and she was very nice. Much recommended 👍

This was our second time staying here and Aleksander has upgraded with a sauna and the outdoor area as well. Lovely place, quiet, everything works great, and close enough to several ski centers and other attractions with plenty to do. The perfect place to disconnect!

Beautiful apartment. In reality, it is larger than how it appears in the pictures. It was neatly clean and equipped with every comfort. Nearby, everything can be done.

We had a nice few days here! Good hiking opportunities and 20 minutes from Hemsedal Skisenter. The host was friendly and helpful with everything we were wondering about. An incredibly nice place to spend Easter in the mountains!

Angnethe is a very nice hostess and always easily accessible. Your apartment is the most beautiful ski accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is extremely well equipped - especially the kitchen. The location couldn't be better - right by the elevator and all the ski tenter's offers. The car can stay in the garage. The view from the spacious living room window is beautiful. We would advise against the accommodation of 4 people in the entrance area without windows/natural ventilation. The fact that two people sleep there if the door to the living-dining area remains open was okay with us.

Super helpful and responsive host. Lovely apartment in great location for town and skiing (downhill and cross country). Easy walk to shops, and the highland lodge pool/gym/sauna/bakery just next door are great. For skiing we walked to bus stop up the road with young kids and it was ok, but did have to carry their skis :) Apartment gets great sun in the afternoon, perfect on the balcony!

Lovely place, good beds and well-equipped kitchen. It has a beautiful view of Geilo. However, the winter sun is so low that the cabin is a part in the shade, but it didn't matter to us as we skis all day and were able to turn on the cozy bio fireplace when we got home.

Our stay with Paula was so great! She is super sweet and caring, we loved the privacy of the apartment in combination with our chats when coming in or leaving the apartment! The area is great for snowkiting, skiing and cross-country skiing, so we did all that and then came back home to this lovely warm place with a hot shower, great bed and cute christmas decorations. Thanks Paula for this warm welcome to Norway!

Lovely cabin with modern and personal decor, just to use. Deliciously equipped with dishes and large fridge and freezer. Clean and tidy in attendance and easy to clean up. Good mattresses in the beds and cozy furniture in good quality. Extremely satisfied from here. Bjørn responded quickly and graciously to questions. We took good care of everything.
