Family-friendly vacation rentals in Aguacaliente o San Francisco District

My friends and I (group of 8 ladies) stayed here for one night at the end of our girls trip vacation in Costa Rica. Lily’s house is absolutely gorgeous. We all had plenty of room and enjoyed our last day in CR. It is close enough to walk to a Fresh Market. The grounds keeper, Nery, was available for any of our questions and very helpful and friendly. It was very close to the airport. Loved our time there and we all wished we could have spent another day or two there to enjoy the beautiful house.

We loved our stay at this Airbnb in Alajuela, Costa Rica. From the first moment we felt very welcome. The place is comfortable, clean, and has everything you need for a pleasant stay. The location is perfect, close to the airport but in a quiet area, ideal for resting. In addition, the host was incredibly kind and attentive, always available to help us with any questions or recommendations. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to other travelers.

We had a fantastic stay at Gil's place!.... The house was exactly as pictured, location was perfect and the view at night is priceless.... We would definitely recommend this Airbnb and would love to stay here again.

A absolute privilege to spend a few days here as a family. A gem of a house that felt immediately like a home. We loved the quirks and the passion for enjoyment. Top of our price range but to us it was worth every penny. Thank you Tucker.

This is my 3rd visit. It was convenient to be able to walk to the plaza across from the accommodation, the house was neat and tidy, and the host's active and quick communication stood out. Laurent’s Airbnb was in a great location and perfect for our family of 9 who was visiting Costa Rica for a family wedding! The walk-ability to nearby restaurants and shopping was a plus! We did walk to the beach but took a taxi back as it was a bit hilly to walk back! Beautiful views, lots of space for all of us and Laurent helped us with transportation to and from the airport. He was very quick to respond to any questions we had and the pool was refreshing! Thx, Laurent, for allowing us to vacation at your home!

A beautiful place, super well-kept gardens, very nice service

This is a nice place to stay. You have restaurants all around you and stores and the mall about 20 -30 minutes up the street if you walk. Uber is always available.

Great mountain cabin at about 2700 m in scenic surroundings. In the immediate vicinity of the hike to the Turrialba volcano. Costa Rica is very different, i.e. it needs a fleece jacket in the evening when it cools down to just under 10 degrees. For this you can then sit in the living room by the fire in front of an open fireplace. We felt very comfortable!

We really liked the place, very easy to get to, both Julie and her dad treated us very well and helped us when we had a problem, and we appreciate that they let us take our little dogs who are part of the family for us. We visited the boutique café that is right there and we also loved it, highly recommended

Maricel is a great host! She’s very responsive and accommodated our needs. We enjoyed our visit in her home & appreciate her & her family. The home is conveniently located in walking distance to sodas, restaurants, groceries, a nearby shopping mall, etc. and it’s a short drive to & from the airport. We felt safe due to the security gate, since it’s an active area. We also enjoyed relaxing/breakfast on the front patio/porch. We would have preferred brighter lighting or natural sun light throughout the inside of the home, instead of the more dim/darker lighting but it served our short term purposes and seemed to fit the home’s unique decor.

The apartment is too nice an impressive view, neat with utensils easy to access to maintain cleanliness, super complete the kitchen has all the comforts for the preparation of food and a great variety of utensils and very spacious the living and dining room are fair to share with freedom of space, last and very important don Miguel's attention is very accurate, timely and very cordial, provides clear directions and responds in short waiting times. Without hesitation, I would recommend the price is fair and the place is very nice. One particularity is that in the condo people in general are very respectful and friendly.

Nice place, but the security was a bit problematic. They didn't allow in an Uber driver to pick me up. The Uber driver needed to give them my name and apartment number, but I didn't have my phone accessible at that moment, so they were turned away. I understand that security needs to do their job and keep the place safe, but this is something that other guests should know, if they plan to use Uber.

I really enjoyed Milicia place. It was very convenient. Easy to get around I would recommend it for anyone who is going to visit San Jose Costa Rica

Pics match the house. Great area. good distance to airport. lots of restaurants at good distance. Volcano Irazu is about 1hr and half away. Fantastic adventure. noted to visit Costa ricas national parks, Volcano go to SINAC and get tickets before. The home felt like home and the manager of the house is Fantastic, nice, and informative about Costa Rica. I went with my family and we all enjoyed the space in the house a lot. Thank you

Kimberly was a fantastic host and helped us get settled in after a long day of travel. The house was amazing and cozy. Everything was clean, worked, and the pool area was amazing as well. Lots of outlets as well. It’s also perfectly located between Quepos and the beaches. In addition to all of the above; the wildlife around the house was abundant and made for great entertainment while floating the afternoon away in the pool. Cant wait to return and stay longer. Perfect size for two couples or a family. Pura Vida and thanks for everything Kimberly!

Everything was very neat, clean, comfortable, easy access, very happy, very grateful.

It’s hard to sum up my feelings about this place. It was so special and wonderful. It’s hard to describe. I also hesitate about giving it so much praise because I worry that next time I want to book it it’ll be full! The place was perfect. It was right on a private beach at the end of a private road. The water was a perfect temperature. The sand was soft. The ground Keeper was so friendly and very helpful. He was very kind to my kids and we felt right at home! Also a huge added bonus were his dogs. My kids miss our dogs when we travel and they were thrilled to find dogs here waiting for us when we arrived. There were limitless activities for us to do. We could lay around on the beach or swim in the pool or do excursions that were close by. This part of Costa Rica is extremely beautiful! I would stay in a place like this over a resort any day.
