Monthly Rentals in Winkhill

Perfect location for Alton Towers and the Peak District. Very clean. Peaceful surroundings. We usually take some of our own cooking utensils as most AirBnBs don’t seem to cater for our needs. But we shouldn’t have worried this time. The kitchen is well equipped! Jo was an excellent host. Communication was great. The ice cream in the freezer and other treats were a welcome surprise. The kids loved their chocolate Easter bunnies. Thank you, Jo. We had a lovely stay!

What a lovely place to stay! We were there for three nights and it felt totally private, we never even saw the hosts. The hut has a lovely view of sheep fields, you really are in the countryside here. It’s homely and clean, the wood burning stove keeps the hut very warm (even through cold March nights), and there’s an outdoor barbecue to cook on. When we needed more logs for the fire, they turned up very promptly which was great! There are various Peak District guide books in the cabin, which we found very handy to flick through. And a lovely little cat came to visit every day! We were a bit hesitant about the eco loo, but it was totally fine, it has a proper seat and is very clean. The water in the shower is properly hot (though you can’t run the kitchen tap and shower at the same time, but that’s no problem) and we found all the utensils and pans, tea and coffee etc we could need in the kitchen. Also - there is phone signal, which was a bonus! 10/10 totally recommend! Thank you

This little place was very pleasant and had everything we needed for our two night stay. Our hosts were lovely and welcoming. Worth noting that the small bathroom had a low ceiling but is 6ft1 my husband didn't have a problem. The comfortable bed and peaceful surroundings were just what was needed. We relaxed outside whilst the delightful ponies grazed in the paddock beside us. We were off the beaten track but within easy reach of the Peak District attractions if we had wanted to investigate them. We opted to stay pretty local for gentle walks, breakfast on the Steam train and a visit to Hetty's tea rooms . There is a handy village store a few minutes drive away for milk etc.

Lovely cottage in a peaceful village, great location for going for long walks. Good food at the Royal Oaks Pub restaurant, local convenience shop had everything we needed, loved the locally produced sausages and bacon, eggs and blue cheese. Great location if you are trying to escape city. Would recommend Sally and Andy’s cottage, we had a lovely time
