House vacation rentals in Whanganui River

Our stay was absolutely fabulous! We loved every minute in this beautiful home. It’s spacious, comfortable, and the view is simply breathtaking. The host was incredibly kind and welcoming. If you’re lucky, you might even catch a glimpse of a herd of deer wandering by — such a magical touch!

Great family week in Whanganui. Our place was amazing, comfortable, great vibe, relaxing, loved the pool and deck with outdoor bath. Wished we could stay longer. Ken and Jess so helpful and responsive, very friendly. Would love to stay there again.

myself and grandchildren loved Cecile's place..homely and has everything our lil family needed even the extras of brekky stuff, spreads, bread, milk ..truly appreciated when showing up with X4 young children ..We had a dip in pool abit cool at this time of year but refreshing ..

We had an amazing stay at Pukeatea Farm Stay! Julie is a lovely host, very friendly and helped us with all our queries promptly. Kids loved the pool & the garden. Would love to return if Julie would have us again! 10/10 would recommend! Was everything we expected and more.

Ruby was a great and was very proactive with instructions. The place was spacious and had great entertainment with the spa, pool, and pool table.

Despite an initial hiccup, we had a fantastic time at Tracy and Damien’s home. Tracy was very responsive and helpful. We loved our stay and will hopefully return to stay here again!

Feilding House is a grand 100 year old home that has been lovingly restored so it is able to be enjoyed. The workmanship and attention to detail is stunning. The bedrooms are huge with luxurious linen and a feeling of opulence. The whole house is spacious and functional, while giving you a feeling of being back in time. The new bathroom is very spacious with a lovely big spa bath to enjoy. The huge kitchen with up to date appliances is wonderful to cook in. We certainly enjoyed using the pool and outdoor space. Thank you for sharing your beautiful historical house.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay in a great location. House was private and had everything we needed. Also amazing mini golf & restaurant walking distance! Great walks to the lake also!

We booked our getaway for 14 for my Mum’s 60th Birthday and the home absolutely exceeded all expectations. The space catered to us all, the location was so peaceful and relaxing with amazing views of the ocean. We enjoyed our stay so much we did not want to leave :) I would definitely look at booking again. Thank you to Karley for being an awesome host as well.

Sally was amazing!!! Highly recommend her place. She was extremely communicative - quick to respond and answered general questions unrelated to our stay but more geared towards the area. Super helpful and accommodating. She has a very cozy place that’s a prime spot if you’re looking to hike in the national park. It’s walking distance to two restaurants and a gas station. Very happy we selected this spot.

We had a great time despite the rain and enjoyed our time in Taupo. The house offers a lot of space what is great when traveling with friends. The lake is just in front of the door. The property was a bit more rustic inside than expected from the pics in the booking but the beds are comfortable and we had a great stay. Thank you.

Very nice house, well-equipped. Comfortable bedding. We enjoyed our stay and especially having breakfast with the family on the terrace overlooking a large wooded garden.

Great new clean home. Neighborhood was not the best, but the location was close to supermarkets etc. Would stay again!

Belinda was a responsive and conscientious host. Everything was well set up for our arrival, including plenty of firewood and a fire guard to keep the kids safe. The home was clean, comfortable and perfect for our family of 3’s needs. We enjoyed our stay and definitely would reconsider if we were to visit again. Property managers were responsive, helpful and gracious. One minor issue - we felt that ‘there were too many rules’ - this didn’t take away from our overall strongly positive impression, however. Walkable distance to the town and good options for meals - The Cypress Tree and Osteria Ohakune were excellent.

We enjoyed our stay very much. Clint was a great and helpful host. We used this place as a base to do the Tongariro Crossing hike. A quick 20 minute drive to the car shuttle parking lot for the hike. Clint also suggested some nice beaches nearby. It was great to have the whole house to ourselves.

3 generations of adults and all loved this property. It had everything we needed, the fire and plenty of wood was a lovely bonus. Beds super comfortable, and nice having plenty of bathrooms. Overall an enjoyable weekend, even the weather was superb, allowing the family to do the gondola and walks on the mountain. a lovely Cosy home with very nice furniture

My husband and I (along with our 1yr old) thoroughly enjoyed our time in Ohakune and by extension Sue & Bev's place. The house was easy to find and perfectly suited our needs. The kitchen was well set up so we could stay in and cook one night. Equally, we were close enough to town that we could drive 5min and eat out. The heating worked a treat so we didn't notice the evening cold air and we had no problem with outside noises (the train noise mentioned by another guest is a non event). Sue & Bev were also very accommodating and we appreciated the early check in. The highlight for my husband was hearing the stags roar at the deer farm located within walking distance.
