Pet-friendly vacation rentals in West Dorset District

When my family and I arrived at Sonia's we were lost for words!! A beautiful home in a peaceful road within walking distance through the park to the town centre. We loved the huge garden and toys for all the family to enjoy. Our little furry friends loved it too. The house itself exceeded our expectations in every way. Very grand and so much space. Sonia's little touches were gratefully appreciated. A memorable stay that we will cherish forever.

From the communication, to the quality of the accommodation & amenities to the welcoming touches with Prosecco & snacks, your thoughtfulness just made our holiday perfect!! The decor was bright, modern & beautiful; the house and furniture was spotless and the house had everything you would need for a weekend getaway. We were 9 people and a dog and there was ample room for everyone. We couldn’t be happier. The only issue is that since this was our first Airbnb adventure, we’ve now got our bar set too high 😊 Thanks once again for allowing us a fabulous few days in Bournemouth in your beautiful house.

Absolutely amazing house - best we have ever stayed in - there was not one detail that hadn’t been thought about - we didn’t need to bring a lot of stuff which we normally do. The house was extremely clean and tidy, stylish, great art and the general feeling of homely and comfy. The bed was very comfy and we both slept very well. All in all we had a great stay - location is great - we didn’t need to use our car due to walks with our dog on the doorstop. This has definately set the bar for us.

Myself and my family stayed here for five days during the Easter holidays. The first thing that struck us when we arrived was the fantastic view from the living room over the bay. It was beautiful and very peaceful. The beds are very comfy and the rooms were a good size. The house is in an excellent location just a few minutes walk from the Cobb and we were very grateful for the 2 parking spaces that come with the property as parking in Lyme Regis can be very expensive. We ate out most nights and would recommend booking places in advance during school holidays as a few of the most popular places get booked up. We loved Swim Restaurant and Bar and loved the pizza from Poco down on the front. We would definitely recommend staying here and would love to return sometime.

I cannot begin to describe how lovely our stay was. Tristan is the most amazing host we have ever had at an AirBnb. He was responsive to questions, helpful, caring, and just so sweet. He even helped us back our giant rental van into the garage when we arrived. We had a perfect welcome basket upon our arrival and staples left for us in the fridge, so we had everything we needed for a delicious breakfast the next day. The house itself is even nicer than pictures show. It’s beautiful, modern, and clean. The beds were very comfortable, and having three full bathrooms and an additional half bathroom was amazing, especially for a party of 6 people. The location was perfect, the ocean views were gorgeous, and the home was so comfortable that we didn’t want to leave. Any time we visit Lyme Regis in the future, we will always stay here!

we had a wonderful stay over the Easter break. great location and walkable to Mudeford quay and beach. The noisy lobster served wonderful food, and catered for gluten free and lactose intolerant. The new haven pub was really nice and the dresses crab was delicious. you could easily walk to highcliff castle. great place to take dogs and after a long days walking just jump in the hot tub. Neighbours were friendly. You could walk out the back gate on to a recreational area. Mudeford is a lovely place to go and great if you can stay at Jacks place.

Me and my partner have just finished our stay with alpine grove and would highly recommend visiting. We stayed in the woodpecker lodge and from the log burner to the hot tub everything about this lodge was perfect, Kieth and Serena service is amazing and we can’t wait to visit again soon. Thank you again for such an amazing stay.

A wonderful stay. Mike and Anna are the perfect hosts, I cannot fault their communication and help with settling us in. The accommodation is peaceful and serene with a stylish mix of old and new. We had a truly lovely stay, thank you x (Minor note, the track to access the property is narrow, steep and bumpy. Would suggest a 4x4. A lowered car may struggle. Hope that’s helpful and certainly not a criticism.)

A delightful stay in wonderful surroundings, views are sublime, home from home facilities, dog friendly property with lots of walks, well equipped kitchen although we didn't really cook as there are so many restaurants and bars to try! Julie ensured we had everything we needed and communicated well. look forward to a return visit when we have a bit more time to enjoy ourselves.

Great 5 star place and location The only recommendation would be to change the Matress in the twin small bedroom as they are not in good condition I defo recommend this air bnb location We might come back in the future Thankyou Jasdeep

We chose Jo's place as it was close to Charmouth (11 mins) and Lyme Regis (14 mins by car). Our 6 year old son wanted to go fossil hunting. We arrived at Jo's cottage and she was there to greet us. She is very friendly and welcoming as well as her lovely dog Ruby. Jo also provided us with a travel cot and a changing mat for our 3 month old baby boy too, which was helpful. Jo provided us with a wheel barrow to carry our belongings to the Duck House as it was a little walk round the cottage. It's cosy and had all we needed. Our son liked the children's room he slept in and enjoyed the toys/games provided. My partner and my son did go in the swimming pool, however it was cold for our baby to go into. Jo did provide some bread, home made marmalade (that was lovely), butter, jam and milk. There was no hot water when we woke but when we contacted Jo she was straight on it and sorted it before we went out for the day. We enjoyed our stay - Thank you Jo.

Gill’s place was incredible! We had 16+ comfortably fit with lots of space in the main areas and loads of activities to do. The place was really clean and organised. We walked down the pub and was a lovely time. Would definitely recommend this place to any of my friends and family xx

My husband and I had an amazing stay at Katie and Graham's Airbnb! The place was beautifully decorated, clean, and had all the amenities we needed. The location was ideal for exploring the area, and we loved being close to local attractions. Katie and Graham were wonderful hosts, always available to answer our questions and provide recommendations. Their hospitality made our trip even more special. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return soon! Feel free to tweak it further if you want!

We were absolutely delighted to stay at this fabulously equipped and clean caravan. As soon as we arrived, we were taken with how well cared for it was. There were small details thought of, including a little welcome basket with an easter treat and decorations, which delighted the children. We have stayed in many Airbnb's over the years, but what stood out here was the attention to detail, including an extensive portfolio of suggested outings, restaurants and amenities. The park itself was charming, again well maintained. Our only comment with the Hobourne facilities was that the outdoor pool was closed for the majority of our stay, so we feel our leisure pass was not put to full use unfortunately. We also questioned Hobourne's decision for a day of noisy tree cutting during the Easter holiday! But that's nit picking. Would wholeheartedly recommend this Airbnb, we certainly will rebook. Superb cottage with very good facilities set in a great location to explore and enjoy Dorset and the Jurassic coast. We would return again.

A lovely stay at Springwood, it was a nice home that was spacious, clean, safe and in a good location. Property was behind the residential address, but not too close that it felt imposing. A mixture of staying in as my son is preparing for his GCSE’s, and trying a few walks recommended in the welcome pack. A great place to relax and enjoy the countryside. The dog friendly Three Legged Cross pub, which is in walking distance (15-20 minutes) is welcoming, we all had a lovely meal there one afternoon. Would definitely recommend staying here for the all round qualities it has to offer.

Paul and Tracy were fantastic hosts and were super friendly and responsive. They greeted us as we arrived and showed us around and made us feel at home. The property was pristine and had all the amenities you would need. There were so many little personal touches and made the whole experience feel that much more special. Was perfect for a quiet break away from busy city life and was exactly what we needed. We would strongly consider staying here again! Many thanks again!

We recently stayed at Sanderlings for a short post Christmas break, arriving on Boxing Day for 4 nights. The property was perfect & spacious for the 4 of us & the family dog. We all loved sitting by the fire in the dining room, and a nice touch of the added Christmas tree. The location was great, 10 mins walk from Weymouth beach and close to all amenities and a central location to explore the surrounding area. It was a coastal retreat with a town house vibe. Thanks Amy for a lovely stay & being a super responsive host.

Utterly fantastic weekend for our family get away and celebrations - Fiona and Spencer couldn’t have been more helpful and welcoming. Just a brilliant weekend which we’ll never forget. Best spot imaginable !
