The cottage was warm & welcoming. John provided a generous welcome pack of goodies and was flexible and responsive to any questions. We really appreciated the beauty of the surrounding countryside and peaceful environment of the cottage. Despite it being a spring visit we enjoyed having the fire lit for us one evening. I have no hesitation to recommend Johns cottage.

Little gem of a cottage, which is much bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside! Beautifully & tastefully equipped with quality fittings, furniture, appliances & utensils - everything you could need for a relaxing break. Highly recommended.

Lovely cottage close to great restaurants and pubs, as well as the dam and lovely woods. Fantastic cycling routes nearby. We particularly liked the Fox and Hounds which had live music and great food and real ale. The cottage was lovely, spotlessly clean and very comfortable and very convenient to everything we wanted to do. Alexandra provided very clear instructions which was most helpful. Would love to return.

We had a fantastic weekend visiting family locally. The property was ideally situated for us. Simon was a perfect host, very friendly and helpful. The property was clean and spacious and provided us with everything we could need. I would definitely rebook in the future. The sculpture park nearby is definitely worth a visit.
