Hello and welcome to Bluebird Cottage. We are located 1 mile up a dirt road in the Isabella Highlands overlooking Lake Isabella. Our road is bumpy in and steep in areas, but we have never had a guest not make it up here. This cottage is private, even though it is next to our residence. It has a 6' privacy fence. Once inside the gate,you are met with beautiful landscaping and a view of Lake Isabella and the surrounding mountains that are well worth the drive.The cottage is set for 1-2 adults.

I first booked just for one night but ended up staying for 3 nights. It‘s such a lovely place, very quiet, beautiful landscape (river, hot springs…) and a lot of other cool stuff around. Gary and Anetta are such kindly and friendly hosts. It felt just like home and really enjoyed my stay.

Christine’s place was a great stay for our week in Lake Isabella!! It’s in a very quiet and peaceful neighborhood, nice big back yard for our dog to roam around and to sit out at night to gaze at all the stars!!! Home was clean and looked just like listing. Bed was very comfortable with nice linens and pillows. Kitchen was well stocked to make meals, with nice pots and pans. Check in was easy and house was easy to find. It is a short drive into town(10 minutes) and into Kernville(20 minutes) The lake is so close and has so many spots to pull off and do a little fishing or just hang out. Lots of hiking trails, make the trip up to see the Trail of 100 Giants and Nobe Young Creek Falls!! Lastly Christine was a great host…..very responsive, and very sweet! Totally recommend Christine and her home.

This place, filled with Krish’s beautiful and kind spirit, was the perfect getaway. I left all my stress behind. During the day, I enjoyed the peaceful sound of birds, and at night, it felt like a magical movie under the stars. No need for camping gear — just show up and enjoy stunning nature at an affordable price. Everything was perfect. I missed trying the solar sauna, but I’ll be back for it next time! If you get to know the host, you’re in for a treat. Krish isn’t just helpful — he’s like a natural comedian. Great food tips, outdoor recs, and plenty of laughs. You’ll feel like you found a secret nature retreat… and a comedy club. Highly recommended for nature lovers! Thank you, Krish, for creating such a warm and thoughtful space. Your kindness and humor made this trip even more special. Hope to see you again next time!

I had an awesome time at The Outpost. The place was super clean, comfy, and had everything I needed. The host was friendly and quick to respond, which made the whole experience even better. One of my favorite parts was the beautiful view from the patio. It really made the stay feel special. Plus, the location was perfect—hidden away in the mountains, peaceful and quiet. I’d definitely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a great getaway trip from the city. I’d totally book again!
