Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Warren County

We were planning to be with the children and grandchildren for Father’s Day weekend and this place was THE ONE! It was baby friendly (baby gate, fenced in back yard, lots for children to do) and adult friendly (pool and ping pong tables, corn hole all in a separate area so as to not disturb napping children). There was plenty of parking for multiple cars too! The lake and boat launch were about a 5 minute car drive from the house. There was a private beach area with slides and swings and restrooms near the boat launch and the children loved playing there and riding around the lake. Everything was wonderful! I knew due to price that I was sacrificing a lake view from the house, and it was a small pain having to remove the boat at the end of each day, but we would do it again because other than leaving the house to play at/in the water, David’s house has everything we imagined needing and didn’t have to leave for anything. We will be back!!

The house itself was beautiful and the access to the beach and lake made it a perfect place to stay. The house had all the amenities for cooking and plenty of items for use on the lake as well. Bethany was very friendly and responded quickly and I would highly recommend this rental.

Songbird Retreat was the perfect Easter retreat for our family of five. Wonderful fun home in an idyllic setting. Something for everyone. Especially loved the stunning backyard with steps straight to the water, use of kayaks, many places to sit and relax. Richard could not have been more accommodating. Highly recommend!

I visit Lake Gaston every year to enjoy the peaceful and serene environment while reconnecting with family members who live nearby. My stay at Cheryl's home was excellent. The house was beautiful and exceeded my expectations. The tranquil views of the lake from the boathouse and the decks were breathtaking, and the gentle sounds of nature created a soothing backdrop for relaxation. Cheryl was a warm and responsive host. I highly recommend this listing and would definitely stay there again.

Jenn and Bob were great hosts! The lake was absolutely perfect for my family and what we were looking for. We had never heard of Lake Gaston or been to this part of NC but we are big fans now and will definitely be back. The amenities were great! Littleton is such a cute little quiet town. There were a few good restaurants close by but we enjoyed cooking most meals! We will certainly be back.

It’s difficult to put into words how incredible our stay was. We had two boys with us (6 & 10) and our 11 year old pup. Mike went above and beyond in accommodating us the entire stay. We would like to return to Mike’s lake house every year and make it a summer tradition while the kids are still young. The boat house/dock area is where we spent the majority of our time. It was huge with plenty of place to relax. The photos simply do not do the space justice. Mike had tubes and floats available for use and a sound system down by the dock. Playing music (at a respectful volume) made our stay so much more enjoyable. The depth off the dock was 10ft, which made diving into the water so much more fun, without having to worry about a mucky lake floor. The kitchen is new, as are the appliances. It does lake a dishwasher, but Mike had everything we needed to clean/dry the dishes before we departed. What a trip! We hope to be back next year if it’s still available.

Home was beautiful and had a wonderful energy. Well stocked home with a bunch of kitchen supplies. We loved the rocking chairs on the wrap around porch overlooking the lake. The mattresses were so comfortable. The husband's caught well over 100 fish throughout the week and we found amazing Antique stores all over the area. I would avoid the local Mexican restaurant as it was horrible but everything else was amazing. Recommend Daphne's coffee house in town!

Beautiful place with great amenities. The lake is beautiful, pool is nice, and elevator comes in handy for families or older parents. The balconies are pretty and it’s peaceful and a great getaway.

Edwin's place was nice and peaceful. Additionally, it was clean and comfortable. It was exactly what I was looking for. I didn't have any issues with my stay. I do want to highlight for those who are in bigger bodies or have mobility issues, the fit into the bathroom is a little tight and the shower has a pretty big step up. It wasn't a problem for me, but as someone who frequently travels with disabled parents, it is worth noting. I would definitely stay here again.

What an enjoyable stay we had in this condo. It was so comfortable and the layout was perfect for our family. Beds were super comfortable and the location was close to our family. We enjoyed the puzzles and games which enhanced our family time during our down time. This sparkling clean home is one we would definitely visit again.

My family and I loved our stay while we visited friends nearby! The place was well appointed with attention to detail. Ryan was a very responsive host and answered questions promptly. The home was quiet and relaxing. The treats/candy were a nice touch. The hot tub was well kept and super easy to use. The temp was perfect as well.

I can not speak more highly of this home. It is wonderful and perfect for a long or short term stay. Plenty of space and the kitchen has everything you need. Stay here often!

This place was wonderful for us. Lots of room and decorated really nice. It was quiet and easy access. Scott couldn't have been more accomodating. Instructions were clear. Things labeled so you were not confused. Guide book of area if needed. Even left a treat for our dog! If, we are in area in future, would stay again. Our stay was awesome. Linda & David Gober

The Urban Owl’s Roost was absolutely gorgeous. It was far more spacious than we anticipated, with an airy and homey feel. The natural lighting through the windows upon walking in was beautiful, and every window facing anything but trees was well equipped with easy to use blinds. Each bed was very well made and clean, and each and every dish was spotless. The home had an array of readily laid out conveniences that were very appreciated, and added to the comforting environment. Even the shower and sinks had amazing water pressure. The entire home was a dream, with everything given a personal touch, and the hosts were very accommodating. If we ever have need for an airbnb again, I hope to find myself in this one. As two women traveling, I doubt we could have possibly felt safer anywhere else.

Really cute place in a great area with super nice neighbors. Stay was comfortable. The kitchen was stocked with everything you need to cook. Bed was comfy. Bathrooms were clean.

Debra was very friendly and communicative. This was our 3rd time staying in wake forest and first time at this place. We loved the place and will def be staying here again in the future. We loved the emergency supply box "take what you need but need what you take". This host has made sure you have everything you need ahead of time.

The place was truly remarkable, especially the scenic surroundings of the house. The spacious interior easily accommodated all of us, providing plenty of beds and ensuring everyone was comfortable. The house was equipped with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The highlight, however, was having kayaks at our disposal, allowing us to enjoy unforgettable moments paddling across the lake. It was the perfect combination of adventure and comfort, making it an ideal retreat to share with friends.
