This rustic beauty is a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness, offering incredible views of the mountains and free bird concerts at dusk and at dawn. If you want a relaxing and peaceful getaway with your loved ones this place is an excellent option. And, you won’t need to worry about food and safety, as Mehdi and the caretakers will always be there to help you. Of course, we were told that we could be left completely to ourselves if we wished that, so you have that option as well. This plan also has the advantage of a private viewpoint from a steep precipice, which may be rare, especially for a place that’s affordable. Access to this place itself is a bit of adventure, as it involves 2 kms of off-roading. Although, access to the areas within the premises are steep, so older people have to watch out. Also, the tap water is a bit muddy if you care about it. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and it’s pity that we couldn’t plan to stay longer. Kudos to Mehdi and his team!

Amazing Place! Property is 30 Mins from Kodai Lake and is located on a small hill. The Bungalow is clean and had a functioning kitchen. We had caretakers Selvam and Mary who helped us in setting up the Bonfire and morning breakfast. Bungalow is surrounded by forest and is on a small hill. You need to push your vehicle on a slope to reach parking and it can get slippery when raining. There is an early morning trek that you can take to reach on top of the hill and is worth it. Property was spacious and well maintained, you can easily fit 9-10 adults in it. I would recommend this place if you are looking for a peaceful stay where you want to be isolated from the hustle of the city.

My parents stayed on this Airbnb, and they had a wonderful time. The caretakers were very kind and very accommodating. My parents loved their company too. The place had scenic views and a very calm and peaceful vibe, which was exactly what I wanted for them.

An outdoor seating area is featured, consisting of a small table and four circular stools. The space is sheltered by a roof, offering unobstructed views of the surrounding mountains and valleys, lush with greenery and distant ridges under a clear blue sky.

Very good place for a group of 10+ people. Caretaker is friendly and the food served is good. You get a beautiful scenic view all over the place. Cottage is well maintained as they got many staffs to look after the place. You get all the amenities. This place is an absolute value for money.

Karuna farms is not just a stay, it is an experience. An experience so refreshing that you will carry it with you when you go back. It is a place to explore within itself with lot of things to cover - waterfall, pool, yoga, trekking and most importantly the rock. What is more important to cover at this place, is just sitting back and experience the nature around you, through out my stay I could hear birds chirping, stream flowing, leaves falling and all the other elements that connects you with nature. If you are looking for a place to escape from the urban set-up to something peaceful and refreshing, Karuna farms is the best place. Hrudayavasi is a villa type set up with in Karuna farms, it has some transcendental energy that let you connect with your soul. The portraits of Lord Krishna setup all over the place are so beautiful and you can just stare at them observing the details. Overall this is a great place for having a refreshing experience and getting closer to nature.

A gem of a place. Easily one of the nicest Airbnbs we have stayed in. The hosts, Helene and Vishnu, their family, and the local community who work in the farm are lovely people. They are around for all queries, but leave you with ample privacy. The cottage is tastefully done, it seamlessly blends into the setting and each nook and corner allows the outside to creep in. Nature provides the rest of the magic, it’s beautiful beyond description. We do hope that we’ll be able to visit again.

A tranquil vintage house woven with nature and hospitality. Host and caretakers are amazing. Home cooked food is served with lot of love. One can literally see the quality in food ..very tasty and uncompromised quality. I recommend it for those who love nature and admires tranquil environment .. House : Old (which is good and unique) location: easy to find and surrounded by hills amenities: decent caretaker : so polite and very responsive cooks : 5 star cleanliness: very clean Price: I would say its on the higher side but if you come as a family of 6 adults it's cheaper than staying in hotels.. overall we loved the stay.. highly recommended

We had a very smooth check in experience. Mr. Mahindran & Mrs. Nagalaxmi (the caretakers of the place) were super hospitable & ensured that we had a nice, clean, hassle-free stay. Mrs. Nagalaxmi also cooked us an elaborate breakfast. Loved the place & it's proximity to all the viewpoints in Kodai.

Great place to stay. Daise and John are amazing hosts. Would absolutely recommend if you are looking for a quiet place away from the crowds.

We went to this place as a group of 13 and the manager was very proactive and made sure everything was communicated as soon as we booked the place. The care taker contacts a day before and gives directions, details about food so that you can choose what to do. A lot of previous reviews mentioned power issues but we didn't face any. Had power throughout our stay. The plantations and gardens surrounding the property were also nice and picture worthy. Would definitely recommend the place for 1-2 day stay if you are just planning to chill and relax. If you want something closer to Kodaikanal, then this is not the right place since it is about 1-1.5 hrs from Kodaikanal.

Regarding the place - This place offers travelers a unique and immersive experience by allowing them to stay in a local's home rather than a traditional hotel. This place was perfect for our weekend getaway. The host provided excellent tips on local eateries and attractions. There were many such places nearby which ppl have access to from this place. As a whole this place was amazing and I recommend everyone who is travelling to Kodaikanal to stay at this place for a peaceful home like environment. Regarding the host - Communication was seamless! The host was responsive and considerate, ensuring our stay was comfortable from start to finish. Maintanence of the environment was top notch. The host has done an incredible job preserving its character while offering modern conveniences. thank you Daise for your hospitality and kindness. we would always recommend your place to ppl travelling to Kodaikanal.
