Apartment vacation rentals in Villa Basilica

Francesco picked us up from the train station and drove us to our apartment. He walked us through everything in the apartment. He even came back later to assist us to get in when I couldn't work the key. Very friendly, responsive and helpful. The apartment was large, well equipped with good cooking facilities and washing machine. The apartment was a 2 minute walk from the historic city wall and bars and restaurants, great location.

Mariele’s place in Montecarlo was literally perfect for a Tuscan getaway. The place is very cozy but with a spacious bed and bathroom. We used the terrace loads which was a luxury. And it is literally in the middle of Montecarlo which is such a stunning place with a record nr of good restaurants in 1 street!

"We had a wonderful two-day stay at this Airbnb. The house was impeccable: very clean, tidy and cared for in every detail. The hostess was extremely friendly and delighted us with small handmade gifts, a box of pastries, fresh fruit and everything we needed for our stay. It was a really nice surprise! The house is in a rural area of Pescia, in a perfect location to explore the Lucca area, being in a strategic point but surrounded by greenery, thus offering a perfect combination of comfort and tranquility. We highly recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants to discover the wonders of the area in a comfortable and relaxing environment.

Absolutely gorgeous views overlooking the river from the bedroom suite. The location is walkable to all the main attractions of the city (Florence is relatively small!), and coming back to this BnB after long days of sightseeing was a joy. Would absolutely stay again if back in the area.

One of the best Airbnbs we've ever been to. Beautiful Tuscan residence. Everything is there: cypresses, olive trees, villa, pool, etc. The apartment is very spacious. It has the old-fashioned charm that makes you feel like you're in your country house and feel good there instantly. Antonio is an absolutely lovely host. Always available to offer advice and do everything to make you feel comfortable. Great stay. Our only regret is not spending more time there.

This was a fabulous place, very cozy, lovely bath soaps, coffee, and very safe inside. The hosts were veryy responsive, checked in with me, and gave great recommendations. It is located very near the piazza and activities. I walked everywhere. The only thing I want to mention is that there is an ethnic grocery store outside next to the building and for some reason many men hang around there outside most of the day and into the evening. I am an independent female and chose to go into the store so, overall, it did not bother me and I did not feel unsafe. The men talked loud and played music outside so customers need to know to allow for that, but they were not bothersome. I played music softly from my phone or earbuds. I loved the mechanical shades that lower to allow for sleeping in. The air conditioner worked very well….thankful for it! The recommended restaurant just a few doors down with garden seating was divine. I would stay here again! I would stay here again.

This was a fantastic stay in a great location, right in the heart of the city center of Lucca. The apartment matched the description perfectly. It was especially convenient for anyone studying at LIS (Lucca Italian School). The host was incredibly kind and helpful, even assisting with luggage on both arrival and departure. The host was also very responsive whenever needed. The balcony was a big plus - as you are on the third floor, but you can step outside any time. We really enjoyed the birds outside. This place is highly recommended, and we would stay again the future.

We had an amazing time at Laura’s place - it was large, comfortable and family-friendly. We especially loved the large terrace - we spent almost all our time outside enjoying the weather and the amazing views. The children also enjoyed playing in the garden and the pool very much. Laura also baked an amazing fruit tart as well as provided some wine from their own production. She was also very kind and flexible with the check out time to allow us to maximise our time there

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at this beautiful Airbnb in Florence! From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The apartment was spotless, stylish, and had that authentic Italian charm you dream about—wooden beams, warm terracotta floors, and a tiny Juliet balcony overlooking the rooftops. Pure magic. The location was unbeatable—just a short walk to the Duomo, the Uffizi, and the Ponte Vecchio. Yet somehow, it felt tucked away and peaceful, like a local secret. We could pop out for a morning espresso and be back before the croissants cooled down. Our host was incredibly welcoming and helpful, giving us tips on where to eat like a Florentine (pro tip: skip the tourist traps near the piazzas and follow their suggestions—you won’t regret it!). They even left us a bottle of local wine as a welcome gift. Grazie mille! If you’re visiting Florence and want a place that makes you feel like you live there—not just staying there—this is it. Wow what a perfect place to stay! The balcony is a dream. Everything in the apartment was lovely, elegant yet comfortable, and it made our time in Florence very special. It was a perfect location for walking everywhere in the city. Staying in June, when we would come back to the apartment in the hot afternoons, it was very cool and relaxing.

We liked the very nice place from the first moment. The pool was large and very beautiful and it was very quiet and relaxing. Unfortunately, we could not use the pool very often as the weather was not so nice and the pool was already too cold in September. But for that, the point of view of the accommodation is really ideal for visits to Lucca, Pisa and Florence. Not far from the property is Montecarlo (a beautiful place) that you should have seen. All around a place that we highly recommend.

This was the most amazing home for our stay in Florence. Location wise, you can’t get better. The apartment itself was charming, comfortable, and we felt right at home. People in other reviews may complain about the noise, we did not find this an issue at all. We slept well every night. We loved sitting on the balcony in the evening with a glass of wine watching the activity in the piazza. Thankyou Stefano, we’ve had a magical visit .

Beautiful apartment in an interesting street. Lovely and peaceful inside and very tastefully decorated. Superbly equipped and even a basket of ‘useful things’, everything had been thought of, even bottles of spring water ready filled for us. A delightful place

We really enjoyed our stay in this flat. The house was clear, the neighbourhood was peaceful and the hosts were very helpful. A true gem in the centre of Florence. If you want to live a luxury experience in Florence, I highly recommend this place.

This apartment in the heart of Florence is a true gem. It’s spacious, comfortable, and modern, yet still retains its historic charm. The location is simply dreamlike, with the widow view and the proximity to The Accademia being the highlight. Having the Accademia right in front of the window was priceless. The bathroom is spacious and clean, and the kitchen is well-stocked and discreet. Conveniently located, restaurants, shops, and a supermarket are just a short walk away. The communication was easy and fast, and Luca was friendly and helpful. Overall, this is a perfect apartment in an ideal location. From booking to checking out, things could not have been smoother. Everything was as described and Alessandra was a very responsive and reasonable host. The area was also fantastic- 10 minutes walk to the Duomo and the restaurants and bars in the small Piazza five minutes’ walk away were excellent. Hope to return soon!

Highly recommend staying here. It’s a beautiful little apartment with very large outdoor roof space for dining, lounging etc. very clean. Walking distance to all of lucca.

Friendly & super responsive host. Loved the Italian architecture of the building, but comfortable within the renovated interiors of the unit. Stayed in Time room with seniors & a child, had all necessary amenities. Great location, far enough from the chaos yet close to the main square & train station.

Martina's place was a great rental in central Florence. Close enough to walk to major landmarks and the central train station. The place has everything you need and more. We were met by Martina and her friendly dog on arrival. She is very friendly and hospitable and took her time to show us her home and give us lots of information on the area and suggestions. I would recommend this rental to everyone!
