Family-friendly vacation rentals in Victoria

I can't say enough good things about the Captain's Quarters and Henny as a host. This was our third Easter weekend in a row spent at CQ on Galiano, and we cherished every minute - even adding an extra night to our stay this year. It's an amazing, private spot to relax, embrace the peacefulness, the comforts (hot tub is my personal fave, and the new king sized bed afforded many extra hours of sleep), and the island mentality. Henny is an absolute gem, and was always quick to respond to any requests. Even when the island had a brief, 2-hour power outage, Henny provided us with extra lighting, and the assurance that should the power outage last longer, she would run the generator. Our dog Feivel also finally got on our level, and didn't even bark when Henny came by with complimentary greens and smoked salmon tails! We can't wait to be back.

This cottage was everything and more. It was perfect for a surprise birthday getaway for my best friend and I. We got to see Candy and Solei ( their horses ) everyday during our stay. Watching them was one of our favorite moments. Had the most peaceful time! It’s very private and blissful! Time really does move slow while you’re here and it was exactly what I was looking for. Japanese garden, putting green, disc golf and horseshoe pit was a bonus. Thank you for letting us use your bikes, it was quite the adventure. The night sky was nothing like I seen before so happy we got to see so many stars swinging on the hammock it was a dream. The cottage itself is just perfect! Pictures don’t do justice we will be definitely visit again. Thank you again Jacquie and her husband for the warm welcome

Really lovely place in Cowichan Valley. Jane was a lovely and kind host. The place was exactly as shown/described, with a well stocked kitchen and a comfortable bed. Would stay here again when we're back in Duncan!

What an incredibly peaceful gem this space is! The cabin is jaw-dropping when you first walk in - gorgeous with huge windows, beautiful wood everywhere, and comfortable, clean and modern furniture. The fireplace was cozy and easy to use and the kitchen well-stocked. Master bedroom with huge windows and the sound of the creek had such a relaxed vibe. Steam shower is incredible! Linens top notch. Easy to find and very private property, completely surrounded by nature. Only issue we had was hot tub was cold when we arrived and it took hours to heat up so we missed out on it our first day. 10/10 recommend and would love to return.

Our first visit to Vancouver Island and our family of four really enjoyed our stay at Tina’s Airbnb. Quick access to Sooke town centre and amenities. But also great location for exploring the Juan de Fuca trail system as well as East Sooke trails. Tina was a very responsive and gracious host! We will be back next spring for sure.

I don’t even know where to start, but I guess I’d have to start and end with the stunning views from every part of the house. I wanted to stay there almost every minute I didn’t wanna miss a minute of the sunsets or the sunrises or the boats or the otters or the seals or the Incredible skies or stars… Plenty of room for six or eight people, well stocked. There’s half a dozen seating areas all different size shapes of chairs and cushions, I didn’t get a chance to use the Jacuzzi and the spa wasn’t working while we were there, but everything was exactly as advertised. Or better. I can’t think of anything that would’ve made my stay more amazing. I can’t wait to go back and bring my family.

We had a lovely stay on Mayne in Kate's cozy cabin. The hot tub was great, and we loved the quiet forest setting. Mayne is also a nice island for cycling - fairly quiet roads, and slightly less hilly than some of the other Gulf Islands? An excellent spot for an extended weekend getaway!

Sarah's place was just as described! It was very quiet, clean, and the view of the bay was lovely. There are good restaurants nearby and Sarah provided excellent recommendations. I would definitely stay here again.

Second time I have stay at Lilies and it won't be the last. Very Zen. Nice and quiet and it was a perfect location for me. Even though you are super close to the hub of Goldstream Village Lily's property is treed lot with lots of song birds in the morning and a deck with table and chairs right out your door to enjoy a morning coffee and listen to the songbirds. Cozy quaint studio including a comfortable queen bed. Highly recommend.

We had a great time at the Cob house. It was beautiful and the view was amazing. It had everything we needed for an amazing weekend on Mayne!

Victoria & Christina’s place was convenient, comfortable, clean, and private. They were very responsive in communications. We appreciated the small and thoughtful touches for our stay. We would stay here again and recommend to others.

We always enjoy staying at Shannon's as her place feels like home to us. Shannon is friendly, prompt in her communication and her place is supplied with everything for a comfortable family stay. We always look forward to her generous and thoughtful breakfast basket! The short walk to the beach is a special part of our vacation too. Thank you, Shannon, for being a valued host.

Peaceful, relaxing and wonderful. A charming, idyllic and welcoming space to soak in serenity. Cheryl and Scott were communicative and caring. The kitchen space was equipped with everything needed to make meals. The bed and linens were exceptional and the space and setting were amazing. A short enjoyable walk to town and natural surroundings make this location a must visit if you want to immerse yourself in Mayne Island living. Highly recommended!

We love staying here! It’s peaceful and relaxing, right off the Galloping Goose for a quick ride or walk and the kids love being able to have a campfire. The place is clean, has everything you need and all the kitchen tools to cook a great meal. Laura is always quick to respond, and my son loved checking out the fire truck!

Liza made us feel welcome and cared about. The setting was beautiful, close to beach/lagoon while being mins from all amenities. Awesome bakery near by. Very clean. Would definitely stay again.?

This cabin was so dreamy! On our drive in, we spotted a beautiful gray fox and a few deer. The forest surrounding the cabin is just beautiful. The cabin had everything we needed. I thought I wouldn’t like to walk to the bath house, but honestly I thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s only a short walk, and it gives you multiple chances to spot wildlife. The bath house is clean and has everything you need. I especially enjoyed the French press coffee and slow mornings reading in the cabin

Hardy's Airbnb is very comfortable and roomy. Two bedrooms and two bathrooms are a real treat. The kitchen is big and well equipped and the living room adds nicely to the space. The dining furniture (see photo) is limited; perhaps a small round table with chairs could be accommodated. However, we would not hesitate to stay again at Hardy's place.

a beautiful location with a stunning view. The windows all face the water with a beautiful deck you could use on warm dry days. the location was ideal, we hardly needed to leave our 200m radius (but we did, because the island is beautiful!) extreme bonus: a VCR with lots of VHS to choose from. This, coupled with a warm fire in the fire place made for cozy evenings! 100% would book again!

Peter's place was perfect for our three nights on Galiano with our dogs. The house was comfortable and the view was exceptional! We had perfect weather to enjoy the patio and veranda, and it was a great base from which to explore the island. The location on Montague Harbour provided ready access to the Provincial park and we also travelled to several other locations for hikes and beach adventures. Larry welcomed us when we arrived and was available to answer questions as needed. We will definitely stay here again on future trips to Galiano.

Eileen's apartment was fantastic! The apartment was well laid out, had everything one needed, bed was great and sofa was super comfy. I loved the fresh flowers in each room! The large south facing porch, overlooking her beautiful yard, lots of heather, with views of snow-clad mountains, seals and bald eagles was such a bonus! The area is quiet, great for walking, and yet close to grocery stores. Eileen was extremely responsive, very helpful, and a pleasure to meet. Most highly recommended!

Keith is a great host and we really enjoy our stay here. The surroundings are peaceful and beautiful. It’s the best Airbnb place we have stayed so far. I really recommend here!

Absolutely amazing place to stay, it's my second time staying in the cottage and hopefully won't be my last. 10/10 would definitely recommend to friends and family.
