Vacation rentals in Venice State Beach

This is my first time in Aptos so everything was new. The view of the beach from the patio is as advertised. I only wished that our stay was more about the town itself (there to visit someone in Santa Cruz). I would stay again here should the circumstances change. Alla is very responsive in the few times we exchanged messages.

Our favorite part of this Airbnb was the easy 3 block walk to the beach and path alongside the ocean offering incredible views. It is also exceptionally clean, comfortable and has a large, well-stocked kitchen for cooking. And while it is located in a neighborhood, the backyard feels very private with a large patio area. We were in town for a medical conference so didn't get to explore the area much but would recommend New Leaf for groceries in Half Moon Bay and exploring Half Moon Bay downtown area. Rita is a proactive host and communicated well. We would definitely stay here again!

Although the cottage is nestled within a tight residential/business area of the village, it feels very private and safe. The furnishings are cozy and uncluttered with enough space to spread out a bit to relax. I really appreciated the bright natural light (even with the blinds closed) as well as the ability to open windows for fresh air. We did not cook in the kitchen, but there was plenty of equipment (knives, pots, pans, etc). to make entire meals. Instead we walked to restaurants and the beach - both are just a couple of minutes from the cottage. Parking requires patience and persistence, but we always found a spot pretty quickly (even on a busy weekend). We’ll be back someday. Thank you!

Our third stay We keep coming back to this quiet, well equipped apartment in an ideal location Perfect set up for working remotely, enjoying the neighborhood and taking advantage of the fabulous Fort Mason farmers market.

Laura and Darren were fantastic hosts. The place is absolutely panoramic, peaceful, and packed with great amenities. My fiancé and I enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, and felt amazing the next day. Highly recommend — you’ll be glad you chose this place! We’d definitely consider coming back

Great host that is very accommodating, easy to get to, and excellent amenities for a longer stay. The neighborhood is beautiful and quiet with great views, good food, and affordable transportation nearby.

Our stay here was amazing. The view was awesome, location was perfect and it was the perfect place to stay with two little ones. The beds and furniture were all so comfy and the backyard was a great spot to hang out. Being right on the beach was so relaxing, and hearing the waves at night was priceless. We’ll definitely be back.

This was my third stay- whenever I want to go off the grid but have all of the comforts of home, this is the first place I think of (I’d probably have more stays here but I am pretty much a spontaneous booker, so Vicki’s place isn’t always available when I want a local getaway). If you’re not local, it’s also a great home base for everything Santa Cruz County has to offer. Vicki is an excellent host and I highly recommend!
