Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Varennes-sur-Loire

We felt very lucky to be able to stay in Catherine's beautiful gite. We were made so welcome from the minute we arrived. The gite is calm, clean and beautifully decorated. We especially enjoyed sitting in the garden listening to the birds and the silence. The pool was a welcome retreat during the hottest part of the day. The many trees create areas of shade whilst the flowers add colour in the many different pockets of interest. We would thoroughly recommend Catherine's gite and would love to return ourselves one day.

Great stay at Yoann's, very responsive and accommodating host. The house is spotless and tastefully decorated. We could definitely stay at Yoann's again.

We had a wonderful time at Dorothée’s place. The house is exactly how it looks on the pictures. Very cozy, stylish and comfortable. Being 4 people, all of us had our privacy without disturbing each other. The house has all the necessary amenities for a pleasant stay. The location is very charming and peaceful for everyone who needs a good rest :) an absolute recommendation!

Very well located accommodation and especially with air conditioning

‘Le Barn’, in the grounds of Chateau Belebat, is a charming accommodation which is beautifully and tastefully presented by the engaging hosts Jeff and Oscar. It is a peaceful, rural location, ideal as a base from which to explore this area of the Loire by car. For those on 2 wheels, it is worth mentioning the cycle path close by which connects to the local village with the all important Boulanger just 2km away from Le Barn. The nearby town of Richelieu is worth a visit and there are numerous other attractions in the locality. We picnicked by the river, tasted and bought wine in various Chateaux, explored Saumur, Chinon, Amboise, and several smaller villages, discovered charming restaurants, explored local markets and toured some of beautiful Chateaux gardens. Overall a wonderful spot although the little seating area outside Le Barn is not particularly private or comfortable if one wanted to chill/sleep/read a book in complete peace for an hour or two after a hard day sightseeing.

Everything was beautifully clean and well thought out. A delightful stay. We met Bruno briefly when he came helpfully to rectify our foolish misunderstanding of the bathroom basin waste plug. We were very grateful for the care that they had taken to make sure everything that might possibly be needed was provided.

Very functional accommodation, everything is already on site and the bedding is comfortable. The setting is lovely. If you're passing through the area, this is the place to be :)

A welcoming and peaceful accommodation on a pedestrian street in Saumur, extremely well located where everything is very accessible. The hosts were lovely and very responsive. 4 days as a family in this wonderful gite in the red house. The accommodation is very spacious and has a lot of character (classified house), ideally located for walking around Chinon and shining in the area. There are all the necessary amenities, the bedding is comfortable and the apartment tastefully decorated. Thanks to Nathalie and Vincent for their warm welcome and good advice, we'll be happy to come back!

She even took the time to pick us up from the train station and drop us off when we left. A perfect stay at Sophie's. Quiet neighborhood, the building is peaceful. Close to the city center and the castle, overlooking the Loire, the accommodation is ideal for a stay in Saumur. All the equipment is perfect, of quality, as described. We appreciated the coffee/tea pods (for example), the ease of communication with Sophie and her flexibility on schedules (allowing us to extend the day). We'll keep the address for the next time.
