Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Van Buren County

Carrie’s beautiful home was the perfect fit for our large group. There was something for everyone! It was easy to gather together, but also to find a private space when you wanted a moment to yourself. Being within walking distance of the beach & Lake Michigan was also so wonderful. We’d definitely stay here again!

Sarah’s place was very clean and extremely well equipped in every aspect, kitchen, bathroom supplies, outdoor etc. So many amenities, we felt like we were still home . The basement was such a great addition for kids and adults to play ping pong, air hockey, arts and crafts. Kids can spend hours down there. Backyard is fenced and although it backs to I-196, we were not bothered. I cannot imagine how beautiful it is once the trees are green. If you have kids and want to get away from the city with minimal planning of all the things to bring, this is the place. There is a beach nearby, 3 min drive, cannot wait to come back during summer months. Sarah, thank you for your gracious hospitality.

We enjoyed our stay in Benton Harbor. Our kids loved taking our small dog out for walks and seeing the beach and sunsets nearby. We had a great time on our vacation which was not far from great locations like St. Joe’s, Holland and even Grand Rapids. We highly recommend Ethan’s Air B and B and look forward to coming back in the summer.

Inviting and cozy home, perfect for me and my wife to escape for a few days, hang at the beach, and explore South Haven. The place was exactly as described, so clean and comfortable. The 4 seasons room on the deck was awesome, would be great for larger groups than we had, but peaceful and tranquil for some morning yoga. The beach gear was incredible as well, so convenient to only have to pack swimsuits and know that they had everything else there. On one of the nights when the evening lows were going to be chilly, Mickie and John proactively reached out to us to be sure we knew how to turn on the furnace. Can’t say enough about this place and would love to stay again!

My family and I are originally from Benton Harbor so when we come into town we like to stay in airbnb's to accommodate us. Sara's place did just that! The house was very cute and homey. They did a great job with remodeling of home. My family loved that they thought of all the little touches a family might need when staying there. If you're coming to visit the beaches or the shops in St. Joe you are only a few mins away from all the action. We will definitely be back. Don't hesitate to book with them. We really appreciated the quick responses we received when we needed to ask questions.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Christy’s place. She is super responsive and it is beautifully appointed with the perfect combo of cozy and chic. We love to cook and she had great recipe books and all tools along with starter ingredients to whip up delicious meals. The land surrounding the property is well maintained and offers plenty for play and relaxation. We will definitely return and look forward to exploring the area in warmer seasons.

Upon arrival, there was some kind of misunderstanding with the cleaning people and it looked like our unit was not cleaned prior to arriving. We arrived pretty late but Michael responded very fast to my message and was able to get this taken care of right away for us. He was very accommodating and helpful. He sent multiple messages prior to the arrival date with helpful instructions on entering the unit and parking. The space itself was great and perfect for two people. Walking distance from the little downtown area and the river. We enjoyed our time in South Haven and would stay here again if we ever visited again!

Everything was as described, really cool historical building, redone beautifully. Had all the amenities you could ask for.

We were incredibly pleased with our stay at Gary & Laura’s! Their apartment looked exactly like the photos, was incredibly clean, and had added amenities that made it extra special! Thank you for the snacks and fresh danish, along with the abundance of clean linens and a well-appointed kitchen for cooking! The apartment was private and comfortable, and Gary & Laura sent very clear instructions for finding their place and checking in. Would highly recommend!

Sameena was wonderful and extremely responsive. This was one of the cleanest Airbnbs we have been to. We had three toddlers with us and weren’t worried about the cleanliness of the floors, walls or surfaces. The very pleasant cleaning woman lives close by if anything comes up. The kitchen was stocked with everything you would need to cook a meal. The only inconvenience is that there isn’t a washer and dryer in the home but there is one available to use down the street with clear instructions on how to get there. Overall this was a wonderful experience with plenty of space!

Booked a little wine weekend with my girlfriend and this spot was a perfect place to stay for that, close to everything we wanted to do and see, place was clean and spacious and very quiet at night, couple of fun bars downtown of this area as well, everyone was friendly

Patty's place was GREAT! My 3 sisters and I had a very relaxing and enjoyable vacation. The Condo was exactly as pictured. It was very clean, had everything we needed in the living room, bathrooms and in the kitchen to cook meals. All 3 beds were very comfortable with plenty of blankets and pillows. We were able to drive North, South & East less than 30 minutes to visit wineries, shops, antique malls and fine restaurants. There are lots of things to do close to Coloma for 4 retired ladies. We loved walking down to the beach every evening to watch the sunset and waves as they rolled in.

What a gem! My family of 5 stayed here mid-October, off season for South Haven. It was so peaceful and we were able to walk downtown every day. Going to the beach felt like going to the backyard, it was that close. We would have been lost without the beach amenities that were supplied, I greatly appreciated those. My kids loved the play closet. The black out curtains and sound machines in every room were also appreciated. An absolutely wonderful stay and we would come back here in a heartbeat (we could even bring friends, there are SO many beds and sleeping options!).

We loved staying here! The bed and pillows are very comfortable, the place is cozy. It’s in a safe area! Andrew and his cohost were more than helpful for our trip, they even left us farm fresh eggs! Will definitely be back and 10/10 recommend to anyone interested in staying 😊

Host was friendly and responsive. I found the kitchen to be well stocked. I spent most of my time watching Netflix on the big screen in the living room, with the blackout curtains! Everything was clean and well kept, you can tell the owner takes good pride in the condo. I especially liked the secure garage parking!

The location was perfect! Easy street parking (Free!) and the directions given where specific and made the check in process easy. The rental had everything stocked in the kitchen (even had a variety of K Cups and hot chocolate!), bathroom, and bedroom. We had a very relaxing time and will definitely be back. Don’t forget to check out the views on the rooftop deck. They are breathtaking.

My husband & I rented this gem for a week. The condo is spotless, kitchen has many amenities, tastefully decorated, very comfortable and we loved it! We loved being right on the water/ beach and close to town. Highly recommend this adorable condo.

We had a great time staying at the Loft. The condo is perfect location putting you in the heart of downtown. The house was clean and as described. The description and check in details were very thorough. I have to say one of the most comfy beds I’ve encountered in a rental! The value was very reasonable to top it off. We’d definitely stay again.

The place is super cute and cozy, the bed is comfy and the area is quiet and peaceful. I felt safe and right at home as I was here for an extended stay! I 100% recommend!

Catherine's Beach House was the perfect place to stay for our fall trip to South Haven. It was close to the area beaches, shops and other amenities. The Beach House has everything plus more! My little ones loved the children's toys and books that were available. We cooked all of our meals at Catherine's place which was a huge plus. The host went above and beyond with information about local events, places to visit and restaurants to try. Catherine was responsive and incredibly kind. We hope to visit the Beach House again soon!
