Cottage vacation rentals in Van Buren County

Great place to stay, very cute and clean. Lots to do on a rainy day or just a night staying in. Plenty of room for everyone and it was set up nicely for guests.

Only stayed 2 nights but this cottage was the perfect spot to relax after exploring Saugatuck and Holland. One morning, we kayaked around Mill Lake before heading to Saugatuck (about a 45-minute drive with no traffic) to hike the Dunes North Outer Loop Beach Trail. Afterward, we drove just five minutes to downtown for dinner and drinks, then made our way to Oval Beach to catch the sunset. On another day, we visited Windmill Island for the Tulip Festival, spent some time downtown for dinner, and ended the evening back at the cottage soaking in the hot tub. Thanks for the short notice booking, LOVED the cottage! :)

It’s a good place to stay ,nice lake to go fishing in I caught a lot of bass. The house is clean and head plenty of beds. Hot tub is very nice , the house is in a peaceful area I don’t regret picking this place.

We had a very enjoyable stay here. The sunsets from the hot tub were SPECTACULAR. Our pups thoroughly enjoyed the beach and shallow step into the lake. The house is small but for a couples trip, it was perfect. The outdoor sitting areas were the highlight. The dock was very nice and we spent lots of time fishing and staring at the lake. This place is a gem for outdoor activity.

This was the cleanest rental we have ever stayed in. Plenty of extras, big yard for dog to run in. Hot tub was fantastic

My husband & I stayed here with our 2 month old for a little getaway before I go back to work from maternity leave. The house was perfect! Super clean. Very cozy, we felt right at home. We would definitely stay again if in the area again.

Lovely place. Appreciated having the one ground floor bedroom for Grandma and loved the kid friendly spaces and activities and toys. Was peaceful and loved the wild life sightings. Little beach and the hot tub was lovely too! Welcome basket was a nice touch. Brian was super responsive and proactive. Would be perfect for two families or even families with mixed age level kids- something for everyone. Beautiful spot.

This was our second stay at this cottage and it was perfect for our family of 4 and our pup! Cozy, clean, and close to all we wanted to do!

The cottage is very simple and I loved it. Nice place for just 2. Fire pit outside is great, screened in porch was nice to sit on at night. I wish it wasn't so cloudy because it has a wonderful spot for stars. Comfortable, private, and overall a great way to run away from the city for a minute.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was comfortable, easy to find and convenient to multiple locations along the western shore of Michigan. The view was wonderful. Definitely heed the warnings about the cliff. It was a steep drop off that would make me nervous to stay with kids at this cottage. Otherwise, it was great.

We loved staying at Michael's place. The setting is beautiful and private, and the cottage had exactly what we needed. Michael was a great host - responsive and willing to help.

We had a pleasant stay at Jennifer’s cozy cottage. The home was clean, charming, and perfect for our family. Jennifer was an excellent host—very responsive and proactive with great recommendations for beaches and local restaurants. The location is just a 3-minute drive to Hagar Beach, which was beautiful and family-friendly. Walking to the beach may be a bit challenging due to the terrain and distance, but driving was convenient with nearby parking. The only issue we encountered was with the water pressure. Although the cottage has two bathrooms, using the shower in one bathroom affected the water flow in the other and we were not able to use the other shower . Also when using the washer none of the shower will have water. We’re not sure what the root cause was, but it was something to keep in mind for future guests. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and appreciated Jennifer’s hospitality!

Good Communication, no complaints. Had a great view of the lake which made it a tremendously great place to stay. Would recommend to whoever is in the vicinity looking for a place stay.

Our little family had a wonderful time at Valerye's place. It was very cozy and peaceful. The cottage was stocked with a ton of amenities and necessities. The location was perfect to visit all the places we wanted to go. Hagar Park is just a quick drive down the road, it is beautiful even this time of year. Would love to come back during the summer.

loved the location and the neighborhood, so quiet. Very clean and neat. Bathroom is very small, but perhaps to be expected for an older but cute home. there is an extra shower in the basement, though.

Staying at Dona and David’s was an absolute blast! It was the perfect spot for relaxing. We took a lot of recommendations out of their book for activities to do. We went to the Portman Nature reserve, the lavender farm, Paw Paw Brewery, local shops, and Bird Dog. The place was very spacious and was bigger than expected! They were very accommodating in providing little things like toiletries and spices that are easy to forgot. They were very responsive in their messages and gave some great recs. We also set up a bonfire in the yard and used their canoes at sunset, it was an absolutely wonderful experience and we hope to return soon!! Thank you!

We choose Trevah’s place for our family weekend getaway. It was fun. My granddaughter enjoyed the spacious home. She answered our questions in a timely manner and was helpful getting us connected with the Marina to rent a pontoon for the day. Our family had a blast. The one thing that we all had to get used to was the lack of window shades, specially for the sunrise. Don’t get us wrong. We loved all the windows. But it was something to get used to. Definitely would will consider coming back. Thank you Trevah for sharing your home with us. Otherwise lovely home.

stayed here over the weekend & loved it! quiet neighborhood, beach nearby, etc. Michael was very easy to communicate with and checking in went smoothly:)

I had a great time at this location. The right amount of seclusion combined with a short drive for coffee. I’d recommend this place to my friends.
