Bright, Beautiful Apartment in Excellent Uptown Location

Open the yellow front door and enter an apartment that fuses traditional architecture with a modern Parisian vibe. Wake up in a light-filled bedroom and step through the floor-to-ceiling window to the gorgeous wraparound balcony. This adorable one-bedroom apartment features a brand-new kitchen and bathroom with a modern Parisian vibe. Open the yellow front door and enter a living room/kitchen combination that's got everything you need to relax comfortably after a long day riding the streetcar, strolling through Audubon Park and eating poboys and crawfish at Frankie & Johnny's. (See our complete list of the best neighborhood restaurants for more info.) A beautiful wood staircase leads upstairs to a light-filled bedroom, bath and tucked-away workspace. The cheery bathroom has subway tiles on the wall and penny rounds on the floor. There's a floor-to-ceiling window that provides access to a wraparound balcony with views of the St. Charles Avenue streetcar and the lovely neighborhood. Two giant oak trees in front of the house provide a leafy green canopy for most of the year. You have your own completely private apartment and your own balcony. We have a separate front door that leads to our side of the house. We will be happy to answer questions and help out whenever we're around. The home is in a beautiful neighborhood with a streetcar stop nearby that gets to downtown in just 20 minutes. Spend the day walking through the Audubon Zoo and explore the historic and exciting French Quarter at night. The apartment is a half block from a St. Charles Avenue streetcar stop. There is ample street parking in front of the house. You can walk to Magazine Street, Freret Street (also lots of restaurants and bars) and Audubon Park. Vacation or business, we expect you treat our home as if it were your own. No smoking indoors. No pets. No late night caterwauling. You must also acknowledge: Security Deposit - if you damage the home, you may be charged up to $200.

Best Corner Uptown; Walk to Audubon Park; Ride Streetcar

This home is located in one of the very best neighborhoods in New Orleans and is within easy walking distance of the St Charles Avenue streetcar; two top-rated restaurants, a French bistro, several other casual restaurants, a wine shop, a cheese shop, a grocery, a neighborhood bar, two banks,, a hair salon, a nail salon, a dry cleaner and much more! Built in 1900, the home is accessed by the brick stairs leading to the porch landing and double beveled glass doors. There is plenty of on-street parking just outside the front doors. You are invited to relax and make yourself at home. Yes, you may play the piano! (It was just tuned!) In the building, 2nd floor only (it's plenty of space at 1700 sq ft). Guests are also welcome to enjoy the covered sitting area, the patio and garden and the grill, if desired. Use of the basement or third or fourth floors are not permitted for this rental. I am available by phone or text when needed, but want you to enjoy your privacy, so will not visit without an invitation. There are instructions inside the apartment and also a listing of recommended dining options and music venues. It’s one block to the streetcar and steps away from excellent cafes, restaurants, shops, and markets such as Zara's Lil' Giant Supermarket. This is the best walking neighborhood Uptown. Even Magazine street is only 6 blocks away. You can Uber or Lyft anywhere outside the neighborhood or take the streetcar to your destination and Uber or Lyft home I cannot say enough about the location of this apartment and the spaciousness and scale of the architecture.

Great place to stay. Very close to the Freret street restaraunts near Tulane University. House is in excellent shape. Beautiful wood flooors. Beds are totally comfy. AC works perfectly. Spacious living room and dining room. Everything is in great condition. Looks even better than the pictures. And then to top it off, the host Christopher might be the most helpful and responsive host on AirBNB. For example, two days before we arrived I couldn't find the house address either on the AirBNB website or in my AirBNB emails. I only use AirBNB a couple times per year so I don't really know how all the website details work. But when I couldn't find the address, I used AirBNB messaging and Christopher sent me the address within minutes of my message. Same with when I was trying to operate the LCD thermostat. Answered almost instantaneously. So Christopher is a really great AirBNB host.

Totally set up to be comfortable and exactly like pictures (with good climate control!) The landscaped back garden is such a treat. Would love to stay here again next time I’m in New Orleans.

We felt at home at Emilys place right from the start. The apartment is in a quiet street on a walking distance to Tulane. The place has all you need and is perfect for a couple. We particularly loved the garden, which is nice and cozy for a drink or just to sit and relax. Emily was a lovely host, very helpful and very responsive.

Don was by far one of the best hosts we have ever had. He brought us a case a water just to make sure we could carry waters with us when we went out for the day. He responded so quickly and gave so many local recommendations to help with planning. The check out was so nice and relaxed in comparison to the laundry list of instructions you normally receive. This was one of the comfortable airbnbs we have stayed in. Spacious apartment and the shower was large and beautiful with fantastic water pressure and temperature. Memory foam mattress and lovely pillows (not flat, not feather, not super thick!!!). Appreciated having a water boiler to make tea easily. The TV was a bit outdated and small, but did the job. Great communication with Jim. We loved waking up to the sound of singing, happy birds outside! ***this review above is for before our last night there, which we couldn't stay because a fire burnt the house severely and ruined almost all of our belongings with water and smoke...clothes, shoes, electronics, makeup, etc. But this is not the fault of the owner and I feel terrible for him, and for us, and wanted to write a review on how great the stay was before this tragedy.

I enjoyed everything about my stay here the place was as described nice and clean. The host offered extra linens and covers I just loved everything about the place! They offer a pool & gym on site we didn’t have to drive far for anything & it was a quiet neighborhood

My sisters and I throughly enjoyed ourselves this weekend; the condo was beautiful and just as described. Bailey was helpful and very friendly. We felt incredibly safe and will stay here again when we return. We have told all our friends about how wonderful our stay was. Thank you!
