House vacation rentals in University District, Seattle

Picture this: arrive in Seattle and arrive at your condo for 3 pm check in looking straight at the Public Market sign with signature clock (which fortunately I saw on the last day of my stay at 5:50 am when I thought I set my alarm for 5:30 am but it was set for pm!). Drop our family bags and head down to the Market to find inspiration for dinner tonight. Buy great produce and seafood, two kinds of cool pasta, and a humbow to tide me over, go back up to the condo in 20 steps, welcome a few friends and family who chat and laugh and drink while they help me make dinner. So fresh, so real, so perfect in this condo right by the Market that is decked out in all the things needed to cook a great dinner and enjoy time together while ogling the fabulous Seattle waterfront. And that was just day one. Our host Taylor was easily reachable by text anytime we had a question or issue, and so kind and warm. Even helped us idiots figure out that the living room couch was a bed for our 6’4” son

The home is gorgeous. So tranquil and peaceful -- my family took a week-long vacation on Vashon and Brita's was the perfect jumping-off point. The location is super private, the home architecture is extraordinary, and the backyard garden is expansive. If you're looking for a great place to rest and recharge, this is it. There is a lot of great dishware, artistic elements in the home, and incredible views throughout the home, especially in the kitchen and upstairs bedroom.

The place was exquisite, the host was accommodating allowing us for early check in. The surrounding was tranquil, my family was able to relax and be comfortable. It is overlooking the lake, walking distance to the park so we were able to visit the cherry blossoms and have our kids play in the playground. The hot tub was always hot for us and the water was clean. The place is huge, there was a steam bath in the basement, the kitchen had a huge stove and grill was readily available. I am picturing such nice summers in this place, with paddle boards and life jackets available as well. The garden was muddy because of the rain, but we were still able to enjoy the backyard with the cemented patio and the hot tubs. It was just perfect for our visit to Seattle. We did have trouble with street parking though, since the road was a bit small and the neighbors too were parking on both sides of the road, our rental car was scraped on the side mirror. So just heads up to find a better place to park

Hummingbird house was an excellent stay for our elderly parents for 2 months over the summer. The house was very comfortable and well appointed, the backyard and garden were gorgeous with lots of hummingbirds visiting. Mr. Per was wonderful to coordinate with and he was always prompt and responsive with everything we needed.

Great house for a large group. Loved the kitchen and plenty of space!

Ian's place was great. We enjoyed spending our evenings with family after the days adventure. The pool house and outside patio are amazing we all really enjoyed it. The house has anything you need and communication with Ian was prompt and easy. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home.

The place is in a great location for those traveling out of the SeaTac Airport. It is right across the street from the airport, up the hill in a private neighborhood. The area was super clean and the host was very responsive throughout the entire time. We shared this with another couple and we had so much fun just staying inside and playing board games (which the host provided!) all night long because of how cozy this place felt. The best part definitely were the fish and snails tanks!

My friends and I ADORED this Air BnB. A beautiful home in a beautiful Seattle neighborhood. It was a very functional and fun space to host a weekend away—kitchen well equipped for cooking, plenty of beds, great outdoor space. Sam was an excellent host who was responsive, accommodating, and communicative. Would definitely book this place again!

What a fabulous stay! Plenty of room for our family to stay together as we gathered for a Seattle wedding. Attention to detail - loved the guide and restaurant recommendations. Everything was exactly as described with plenty of extra towels and linens. Great location in lovely Queen Ann. Kimberly was very attentive with prompt responses. The only thing I wish we could have changed - to arrive a week or two later when the beautiful magnolia tree in the backyard would have been in full bloom!

Larissa’s house is the 10th place I have booked with Airbnb and I have to say it is absolutely perfect, is so clean, nicely furnished and had everything I needed in the kitchen for cooking most of our meals there (stayed 5 nights). The home was welcoming and well stocked with towels, bathroom essentials and comfortable beds, the neighborhood was quiet yet close to everything, ferries, parks and downtown Seattle are just a few miles away. I highly recommend and would definitely book again. Thank you for a great stay Larissa!

Perfect location! This home had lots of private bedrooms making our gathering so easy to do! And you just can’t get enough of the view!

We loved this spot with young kids. The backyard was really nice, and the neighborhood felt very safe and quiet. For us, the location worked well for visiting Seattle and the nearby national parks. Joel and Sarah were quick to respond to a couple of questions we had and were very kind hosts.

We didn’t want to leave! Carter’s home is amazing in so many ways. There is everything you might want in the immaculately clean house, and then more. The view is incredible, we had as much fun enjoying the view on our ‘rest’ day as we did exploring things in the city. As hosts ourselves, we appreciate detailed communication, and Carter provides detailed information about everything in his home! We will certainly return when we come back to the area.

This home was perfect for when I had lots of family visiting from out of town. Each couple had their own bedroom. The teens made use of the twin beds and the babies/toddler had floor space for their pad and travel cribs. (The carpet was very clean so we had no qualms about kiddos sleeping on the floor.) It was a very good price for the great accommodations. No hotel could have given me that price for the number of rooms I would have had to reserve. the view was lovely and the neighborhood was easily accessible from the main road. Definitely keeping Scott’s place in my favorites for the next time I have a bunch of family visiting.

This is a truly magical space. Our group of friends created forever memories over our annual weekend gathering this year. Words and pictures don’t do it justice. The chorus of the frogs from the cedar tub was fantastic. Thank Mathew!!

Property was clean and very nice. Host was very responsive. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Such a wonderful cabin. It was super cozy and was the perfect get-a-way for our fam of 3 + 1 dog. For a place that is dog friendly, you could not tell! It was super tidy and clean and simple. Fished right off the beach, had fires and also appreciated the tv for movies at night and games. It’s in the description, but just make note of the pathway down! It’s well maintained, but if it’s rainy it can be a little slick. It definitely would not deter us from coming back but if you have a hard time mobility wise, it would be trickier! This place is 10/10

This is the perfect Air BnB experience we all want! This little house is so comfortable and comforting. Beautiful, well appointed, with a great host. We are here in winter, yet the garden is a joy. We will absolutely stay again, hopefully in Spring/Summer to enjoy all the Red Cedar Grove Retreat has to offer.

The house was beautiful and cozy! Very private and inviting! Anne was very proactive in reaching out to see if we needed anything during our stay and it turned out to be an incredibly relaxing and restful Anniversary retreat for my wife and I.

The perfect romantic getaway for Valentines weekend! We had a fantastic stay at this charming home by Alki Beach. The place was cozy, clean, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was just a short walk to Alki, great restaurants, and views of the city at night. Will definitely be booking again and I highly recommend this place for a getaway weekend in Alki

Great spot with very peaceful upper deck with view of Puget Sound and lower deck with hot tub and fire pit. Kitchen was really nice and well stocked with things to cook. Bed and living room were cozy. Overall really enjoyed ourselves!
