Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Totnes

Highly recommended! We stayed for two nights as a family of four. Emily's place was just perfect for our needs. It's super clean, comfy and centrally located to be able to walk to all the great shops, coffee places and restaurants in Totnes. We also drove just over 10mins to do the south Devon steam train, which the kids loved. Emily was a fantastic host (restored my faith after a run of not great airbnbs). We will definitely return when visiting Totnes.

We stayed for 2 nights at Sarah's cottage and we were delighted with the facilities and location. It was around the corner from the High Street and was ideally positioned for shopping, restaurants and even the Steam Train. We would love to come back next time we visit! Thank you, Sarah

The property was in a lovley secluded spot where you could stay all day and not see anybody . Very central location for places to go …. Very dog friendly . Yummy cake on arrival and very welcome prosecco 🤩

We stayed in Candy's farmhouse annex for a long weekend with my parents-in-law, whilst down for a family event in Totnes. The location was perfect - such a short drive to Totnes, whilst being surrounded by wonderful countryside! We were given a great tour on arrival, of the annex and the huge garden, by Candy's husband Phil. The children felt immediately at home, and very much enjoyed exploring the garden and bouncing on the trampoline. The annex itself was spacious and perfectly comfortable, with plenty of hot water for great showers and heating so that we never felt cold, even when the evenings were chilly. We had a wonderful time playing boardgames in the evenings, and Phil was kind enough to bring over some extra games and comic books for the children, which they greatly appreciated. We had a really lovely time and would definitely stay there again in future! Thank you, Candy and Phil, for making us feel so welcome in your lovely home!

We very much enjoyed our stay at Gary’s place in Totnes. This delightful house has lots of space and rooms and was very comfortable for the ten day stay of our extended family of 7 people. It is situated in a very quiet and peaceful residential area at the edge of totnes and is only a 5 min drive to the hustle and bustle of the high street. A bonus was the affection and cuddles from the two lovely felines sharing the house with us.

Nicki's property is a real gem of a place - the interior was stunning and very inviting. Totnes is a great little town to get to know with some lovely independent restaurants and we found some great walking guides within the property which gave us some memorable days out with the dogs. Not many properties make two dogs so welcome, but Nicki's did and the safe enclosed garden was an appreciated feature for us. Thank you Nicki - you helped give us a great week away.

A delightful space for a weekend away. Great kitchen, recommendations from past guests, comfortable bed, lovely bath. Kitchen was well appointed with everything you’d need plus good quality pots / pans / knives. Speedy wifi. Perfect place to relax for a long weekend!

Beautiful spot within walking distance to Slapton Sands, very handy to access all our favourite areas in South Devon. The local inn serves incredible fish and chips. Jaquine was a friendly host with some great recommendations. The accommodation was comfortable with lots of personal touches. Would be very happy staying there again.

This has to be the best ever beachfront apartment we have stayed in. Spectacular views, spacious balcony, superbly equipped and everything worked without any hassle. The Leisure Club is an added bonus for me - brilliant pool, fitness equipment and the jacuzzi plus the outdoor terrace and restaurant with great meals, especially the (takeaway available too) fish and chips. The purpose of this trip was a holiday for my 94 year old Mother - above all the apartment was very safe/secure, accessible, the few steps to the 1st floor are manageable and the lift means getting into the apartment is easy. Totally recommend this apartment!

fabulous stay at Kate and Kieron's flat! Great space with everything you need. Ideal for a base to explore the surroundings and Kate was really helpful with everything from travel cot / high chair for our 7 month old to loads of recommendations for food, drink and places to visit. We will hopefully be back 🙂

What a beautiful little place and a fabulous location to stopover for a couple of nights. We absolutely loved Josie’s style at The Apiary and it was perfectly clean and comfortable for us and our little dog. Wandering through the grounds of Southcombe House and its pretty wildflower meadows was just delightful. An idyllic spot in wonderful location.

Rockpool is a wonderful place to stay! Kay is a friendly, helpful and generous host. We appreciated the lovely treats left in the fridge for us. The location is peaceful and quiet and the accommodation is comfortable, very clean and well equipped.

My husband, 10-year-old daughter and myself have just returned from a truly amazing week, the property is beautiful, with facilities that far exceeded expectations. We had such a relaxing time; the beds are super comfy; led in bed looking out to sea with a coffee in the morning was a true highlight. The gardens are beautifully kept and being gated and private we had no worries with our daughter playing out. The walk down to Watcombe Beach, albeit steep on the way back up but 100% worth it; we took our paddleboard down and went swimming on a number of occasions, the water is very calm, on 2 occasions we were in the water and within 20ft off us were 2 seals! The hot tub was perfect, lovely fluffy robes provided to keep off the chill. We used the BBQ each evening and ate out on the patio. Susan is an incredible host, nothing is too much trouble, very informative and exceedingly helpful, she really did enhance our stay and made us feel as if we were staying in a home from home.

Great place with big kitchen and in a lovely setting. Near salcombe and places around there. Take care parking if you have a very low car though.

Pleasantly surprised with the size of the property, from photos it looked a little small but there was more than enough room. There was everything you needed, an iron and ironing board, fan etc. Location was amazing, short walk to the ferry to go over to Dartmouth. Overall a great weekend in the most picturesque spot.

Has a much needed mini-break in spotlessly clean and comfortable appartment, in beautiful scenery, fab view and very peaceful.

We had a perfect weekend at Phil and Larraine’s. The apartment was clean, spacious, well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The outside seating area and garden was lovely. Our hosts were always available if required but also respectful to our privacy. We felt like the place was ours and settled in from minute one. Thank you Phil & Larraine . Just one more thing - those views WOW!

Great garden flat in the center of Ashburton. Peaceful and secluded. Very comfortable king size bed and good quality linen. Bathroom with bath and shower over bath, small but very clean and neat. Clean well equipped kitchen. Fab lounge with comfy sofa. Courtyard garden is lovely! The only thing to possibly improve is to have a blackout blind to the bedroom window. Ashburton is lovely with some great pubs restaurants and cafes and great easy access to Dartmoor. Thanks Helen! Loved our stay x

The best equipped and most beautifully furnished airbnb we’ve ever stayed at . High end furnishing / kitchen equipment and immaculate.

Stunning apartment set in beautiful grounds with easy parking directly outside the door. Every room is beautifully furnished and the kitchen superb. We enjoyed spending time in the kitchen/diner and the garden room so much we didn't actually use the living room on our stay! The walk into Torquay would be very strenuous, (especially the uphill return!) so would advise driving instead. Communication with Josh was excellent.

A beautiful apartment just a short walk away from the centre of Torquay. Dean was very helpful. I would happily stay here again.

We had to book very last second. Nicole was very helpful, answered super quickly and had this beautiful Airbnb ready for us. We were greeted be personalized signs and an Airbnb with a great atmosphere. You can see the love in every detail. Everything is clean and cozy and besides the usual things they provided detailed recommendations for the area, a free yoga class Nicole gives and a lot of small things like coffee, cereal and jam. We definitely recommend this Airbnb to anyone staying in the area.
