Boutique hotel vacation rentals in Tornado Alley

Interesting, quiet stay in beautiful historic hotel in Cottonwood Falls. Suzan was wonderful host and I highly recommend spending time at this unique place.

The room was different. A little cluttered but we slept well and the staff was as friendly.

A unique place for a stopover, a blend of luxury and remoteness (actually very close to the interstate). Just be sure to arrive before dark, because the road signs are hard to find. We had the entire lodge to ourselves, with many amenities, including a piano. Great for a morning jog or hike. We enjoyed it very much.

This was my second stay at the Messenger, so I have now stayed in both the queen and king suite. The room was perfect again. It was clean, the a/c kept the room quite cool, and the bed was comfortable. I’ll definitely be staying again in the future.

Anita and Alvin are good folks! The location of the Noble House is easy to locate and central to our planned activities. We loved the Old Noble House! It was wonderfully clean and comfortable. This lovely hotel is decorated in a vintage type atmosphere, (Which we old girls loved!) The breakfast offered was absolutely delicious. Anita is a very good and accomodating cook. We stayed in the Theresa Tyler Room. There was a book outlining who she was, what she did, and who her family is. It was extremely interesting. Just be aware there is a beautiful staircase! If you have bad knees or back, make sure you have someone with you who can help take your baggage to the second story. I highly recommend this business to anyone wanting a tranquil, friendly, convenient overnight stay in Watonga.

The stay at the Chicken Farm Art Center was wonderful. Not only was the room nice, the whole venue was wonderful. They had an excellent kitchenette and the coffee was wonderful. Truly enjoyed the experience and will be looking to book on my next trip.

I really enjoyed my stay at The Brownlow House and appreciated all of the guidance and communication from Coach (the on-site concierge).

The woman that called you on my behalf and I believe a revisiting male guest that were out on the porch when we arrived were so sweet and helpful. We felt comfortable and safe immediately. We loved this place! It is beautiful, in a great location and Coach was very hospitable! He even showed up to see our kid’s band play!

The Sunrise room has fresh, new carpet and was large enough for my family of 4. Very comfortable, clean, and cozy.

Host was very responsive, check in was easy. Older-style motel where you can park in front of your door. Sits back from the road, so was very quiet. The bathroom has been completely renovated. The bed was comfortable for me. All the linens were medium grade. Fridge, microwave, coffee, good TV with cable channels. Everything was very clean. Since my reservation was for only 1, I was given a smaller room with one queen bed. There was not a table/chairs (as in the picture) so if that is important to you (to work, eat, etc) be sure to ask for a room that does have table/chairs. Also, no hair dryer even though it is in the listing details. It looks like there is a small park right across the street if you have children this would be nice. It was very cold (well below zero windchill) and it seemed chilly in the room even though the heater ran almost constantly. If you don't need a fancy place to stay (for twice the cost!) this is a good choice.

Enjoyed walking the grounds and seeing everything. Fun environment. Very nice hosts. Room was as described. Very nice and comfortable. If you are going specifically to see the artists and studios/shops go Thursday through Saturday. We had never been to San Angelo before. Fun city. Nice downtown, visitor center, riverwalk, art museum, State Park. All in fairly close proximity.

The Brownlow house is a Denton gem, and Coach is an outstanding host and great dude to talk to. He made us feel right at home and had us wishing we'd stayed one more day. We visited for our anniversary and had such a fun, relaxing time. We'll definitely be back!
