Monthly Rentals in The Grove

If you are visiting or stopping by Merced, this is a great spot to rent that’s a 10 min walk to downtown. The neighborhood is beautiful and has a classic Central Valley charm that ya see in other cities nearby. I think this is the best deal in town folks. Gloria is super helpful and considerate of her guests as well.

Connie's place is beautiful, sparkling clean and well stocked. She went above and beyond with care to detail and Christmas decorations. The quality of the pots, pans, and all of the kitchen equipment was so much better than the usual airbnb offerings. She was generous with the basics and everything was top quality. We'll definitely be back.

I really enjoyed my stay here at this little cottage. As she mentioned in the listing, it is a working farm so there is a little bit of movement of people and vehicles somewhat nearby - on some days in the morning and in the afternoon but I did not find it to be bothersome. Most of the time, I did not see anyone around. And I enjoyed walking in the almond groves all around! The WIFI was plenty fast-enough for me to work and stream movies. There is no TV but there is a Walmart about 10 minutes away. The water pressure was good and there was always plenty of hot water. The dishwasher works great and the rest of the appliances are also clean and work great and the kitchen is very roomy. I like the open floor plan and the bed and recliner were also very comfortable. I did not use the wood stove but I used the space heater that they have there and it worked well, as did the AC unit. I had a very comfortable stay!

A well-situated and comfortable house. It had an unbelievably well-outfitted kitchen and bathrooms. Competent yard care and cleaning services were provided. Nearly everything we needed for our three-month stay was within one to one and half miles walking distance including grocery store, train station, bike trails, park, pharmacy, retail stores, restaurants and coffee shops. We did not walk after dark, however, as this part of Merced has a visible homeless population, among which are some characters of questionable mental state. Unfortunately, we had a catalytic converter stolen off our car while it was parked in the driveway. The only other problem we had was that my wife, already allergic to pets, developed asthma during our stay. As with most AirBnB's, Michelle's property is pet friendly, and I'm sure lingering pet dander triggered my wife's problems. Nevertheless, we would highly recommend this property for long-term stays in Merced.
