Fitness-friendly vacation rentals in The Great Lakes

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Krista's place. She provided us with recommendations via messages for great places to ski, and the apartment had a comprehensive list of suggestions as well. My wife and I cooked one or two meals every day, and the kitchen was fantastic to work in. The bed was comfortable, and the living room was spacious, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. We loved walking around downtown Sault Ste. Marie, especially Queen St., where we found many after-Christmas bargains at various shops. We also dined at several restaurants within walking distance, which was very convenient. Overall, Krista’s place made our trip memorable, and we would definitely stay here again.

Great location within walking distance of everything, especially when you come to downtown Toronto for events , I would definitely stay here again!. Host was very responsive even when I arrived late due to my flight.

We had a great stay at this apartment. Ron, who lives in the house above, is very friendly and accommodating. He let us have access to a second bathroom upstairs and even loaned my husband his ski gloves. He is a super host!

We had an absolute blast in Cleveland and this was the perfect place for our home base for the weekend. The unit was clean and stocked with everything we needed. The location was perfect - we were able to stock on groceries at the market, walk to all of our meals and entertainment and even go for a train ride on the rapid. I'd definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice spot downtown.

Clean, quiet, and comfortable.

This was one of my favorite Airbnb experiences to date! One of the easier check-in processes for a city apartment location. VERY VERY VERY clean and always felt safe. If you’re not a fan of the general noise a city brings, this may not be the best spot for you, but it brings me back to my time living in a high rise— I enjoy hearing the hustle and bustle below. Super close to the Riverside Theatre (less than a 5 minute walk), and easy peasy parking. Milwaukee is one of our favorite cities to visit— I will always choose this location when it is available from now on!

The place was clean, well-maintained, and had all the amenities described, plus a few extra. I stayed here for two months, and Patrick was always helpful and responsive to my questions. When there was an issue with one of the lights, Patrick replaced it the next day and even replaced the adjacent light (which was working) just to be cautious. There are several grocery stores just around the corner, and a variety of restaurants are within a 10-minute walk. It’s a great place and an amazing host. Highly recommended!

Jessica was one of the best Airbnb hosts I’ve had in a long time! I celebrated my three-year anniversary here with my partner, and it was absolutely perfect. Jessica went above and beyond by setting up the room beautifully with flowers, rose petals, and electric candles—my partner was overjoyed. She was incredibly accommodating, allowing us to check in early and responding quickly to all my requests. The space itself was spotless, smelled amazing, and was incredibly comfortable. As a same-sex couple, safety is always a consideration when booking accommodations, but this location felt extremely secure. My partner and I were out late at night and felt completely at ease. The apartment has a double lock for added security, and the building itself is well-monitored. On top of all that, the view of downtown and the CN Tower was stunning. I highly recommend this stay, especially for couples—10/10!

Honestly, this was the best AirBnB I have stayed at. Super clean, beautifully decorated, well equipped, super soft sheets on an extremely comfortable bed - there is not anything I would say I wished were different. The location is a bit on the outskirts, but I really enjoyed the walk to get further into the action. There was no issues with noise/neighbors. Loved it and will definitely try to book again if I’m headed to Toronto.

We stayed here with our young daughter, and it was the perfect place to start exploring Toronto as a family. The apartment was super clean, well furnished, and the hosts were very proactive in welcoming us and making sure we had everything we needed. Highly recommend this place!

In his headline, Alex says, "I'm a professional (electrical engineer) and I'll be a good host." Alex is an electrical engineer and was a good host, as simple as that. The place was right next to the subway, in a very walkable area with lots of nice distanations nearby. Would definitely consider staying there again.

Place was very clean and fairly quiet :). Could hear a few other condo doors closing but not crazy, maybe 3 a night. Close enough to downtown where everything we wanted to do was only 10 mins and under.

The house was extremely clean and comfortable. We were very pleased with the amount of space felt larger than explained. The house had a mini gym in the basement which was convenient to get my workout in. The kids had a blast watching movies downstairs on the large tv. This was the perfect location to commute to my daughter’s soccer tournament in bowling green!!!

We have stayed at Momma’s Haven 3 times now! Tara is an extremely kind and generous host. Her place is comfortable, in walking distance to downtown and the trail, and is clean. Thank you Tara for accommodating our family once again.

Paul was extremely responsive, provided detailed instructional videos and was an overall amazing host. The property was "as described" and did not disappoint. The unit was exceptionally clean, well appointed with many amenities and personal touches. We will definitely consider a repeat stay during our next visit to the area. One of the highlights was definitely the private hot tub – perfect for soaking in the evenings under the stars. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything we needed, including a coffee maker, microwave, and all the cookware and utensils. There was also a smart TV, fast Wi-Fi, and even a washing machine which came in really handy. The outdoor area was lovely, with a sitting space and a small BBQ setup. The hosts were incredibly welcoming and respectful of our privacy. They also provided clear instructions and great local recommendations. Would 100% stay here again!"🥰

Brendans place is as described. No surprises. A wonderful host who goes out of his way to accede to our request for certain household items we needed because our stay was in excess of a month. Nothing was ever too much. Truly the 5 star host title that is more than well deserved! We hope to be back!
