Bungalow vacation rentals in The Great Lakes

The lakehouse was clean and very comfortable. It was so cozy using the pellet stove for heat and the house has a lot of natural light. I felt very relaxed staying here and slept well at night. The views of the lake are stunning, especially down at the dock. Our kids enjoyed going down to watch the sun rise and we enjoyed a campfire one evening as a family. Everything you need to know is clearly stated beforehand (like there being a lot of steep steps to get down to the lake and needing to bring your own drinking water), so there are no surprises. I appreciate the hosts providing so much important information up front so we didn’t have any issues or questions during our stay. Our only regret is not being able to stay longer.

We had a wonderful stay for 5 nights at Cheryl & Kyle's. Beautiful sunsets, dips in the lake, hot tub, sauna, well equipped kitchen, AC, ... A great perch to enjoy what the county has to offer! Hosts were quick to respond to any questions we had. Highly recommended!

The cottage is a beautiful haven of tranquility. The type of place that doesn’t come along very often - if at all! You are surrounded by nature and just steps down to Lake Erie. The sights and sounds of this biodiverse area are your literal backyard, but you’re also close to good food, small to mid town shopping, and some pretty fantastic museums (Maritime museum and Erie Art Museum were highlights). Joan is a total sweetheart: she meets you and makes you feel immediate welcome. She will even cook you a homemade breakfast one morning of your stay. Beyond the amazing hospitality, you will get the sense that Joan actually CARES. Something so rare in our world. And it is on this note that I would return again and again. Best place ever to locate out of for Erie Lake Marathon @ Presque Isle Park!

We had a wonderful stay! The cottage is so cute and spotlessly clean, equiped with everything you could need. We didn’t expect how calm and peaceful it would be while still being steps away from restaurants and shops. The location is great, a short walk to beautiful Bay Beach, Planks store for local shopping and Shaka for smoothies. Belinda’s attention to details made our stay extra special and we felt right at home, we hope to come back. We had a great time cold dipping in lake Erie, visiting Fort Erie and Niagara Falls and eating at legendary Rizzo’s House of Parm.

Great communication & beautiful stay! We loved the cozy atmosphere and lake views. <10 minute drive to “downtown” Ithaca with lots of little shops, great restaurants, and hikes. Thanks for a great stay!

Great getaway on the lake, the view was better than most of the wineries in the area.

We had a wonderful valentine's/Birthday getaway, the hot tub was amazing, and the sauna was great! Had a couple evening fires and settled down with a movie, we went out for dinner one night and relaxed the rest of the time. The location was perfect making it very private and quiet. Even a bunny joined us outside, so cute! I would love to come here again in the summer as it's steps away from the beach! Thanks again for hosting us and we will recommend this place for sure!!

All the good things previously written about Stephen and the bungalow are true!  Before and throughout my stay, Stephen was a friendly, gracious, and helpful host who clearly wanted me to feel at home in the bungalow. It did feel like home from the minute I walked through the door. There was a warm welcome note from Stephen on the counter, along with some Mrs. Mikes! Sun was shining through the many windows, most of which look out on beautiful gardens.  The whole bungalow is bright, airy, and incredibly clean with comfortable seating and sleeping. There are lots of convenient electrical outlets and plenty of storage places for all your stuff. It is in a quiet and safe neighborhood lined with trees for shady walks on hot days. I felt so relaxed and comfortable and welcomed there, and am already looking forward to my stay next summer.  Thank you, Stephen.

We had a great time staying at Thomas's house before my wedding day! He was very quick to respond to all questions, the place was well-stocked and clean, and we liked the lockbox entry method. It's very spscious with an upstairs and downstairs area, each with its own living room and kitchen.

Riel’s cottage was just perfect!! If you are looking for absolute peace and quiet and an unbelievable rustic setting, this is the spot to stay in prince edward county. Everything you need all within 20km in every direction, beaches, wineries, small towns, farmers markets!! The grounds are just beautiful, amazing flowers, lots of fruit producing trees!! There are chickens just next door as well that lay wonderful eggs for the guests 😃😃. Lots of amazing birds to wake up to as well and a small family of chipmunks 🐿️ ( maybe pack some peanuts in the shell). They will be all over you 😄. The cottage has everything you need inside and a wonderful BBQ outside to enjoy a wonderful meal on the front deck in the open air!! Highly recommend Riel’s place for a quiet country get away 🇨🇦❤️

Jessica's place was quite comfortable. Nice sized comfortable beds, a workable kitchen and comfortable eating and sitting area. Felt a little like going back in time. We enjoyed it very much.

Beautiful bungalow! There were many special touches. Heated bathroom floor, gorgeous decor, hot tub, snacks, ideal location. The bed was so comfortable. My husband and I enjoyed a short walk to the lake and the bakery down the street. Highly recommend this place!

Rashad’s place was very homey and comfortable! The kitchen was stocked and the bathroom even had soap, shampoo and conditioner, and enough towels for 8 people. He was very communicative, we’re very grateful he allowed us to check in early. The place is about 30 minutes from the Loop but we didn’t mind since we had a car. The neighborhood felt safe and there was a great breakfast joint about 5 minutes away. Overall, my family and I had a great time and we would definitely return.

Great location, great house, and an exceptional host. Very pleased with our stay. Lovely home, well appointed, tastefully decorated and as described. Accessible, friendly host really made this stay for us. Beds we used we very comfy. Loved the seating options, plants and natural light from the beautiful windows. Very nice neighbourhood too. Very clean and homey place! We brought our dogs with us and the fenced yard was so convenient! There was plenty of space! The beds were clean! Plenty of towels in the bathroom. The only issue we faced was the WiFi connectivity to the tv. We had to restart the tv a few times but after a restart, things seemed to work. The couches were a bit hard but we made it work. When we return to Madison, we will most definitely be staying here again! We enjoyed our stay!
