Welcome to "Cabin on Swede Hill". Our family has farmed this land since 1871. My great grandparents, Swan and Johanna Johnson immigrated to America in the 1860's, found this land which was similar to Sweden. They raised their family here. Approximately 65 Swedish families settled in this community, became to be know as the "Swede Hills". We just received the Hoosier Homestead Award from Indiana celebrating the Sesquicentennial Award. Lucky Buck Tiny House *Outdoor Shower*

**if you are reserving early spring or late fall, please note that, although the tiny house keeps cozy and warm with the space heater provided, there is no heat in the “summer kitchen”, the toilet is in an outhouse and the shower is outdoors. A stay here during cooler weather calls for a heartier guest who is able to tolerate the cold. :) ** A very cozy and rustic tiny house situated on 10 acres mid-way between Duluth and Two Harbors and a short (one mile) hike to the shore of Lake Superior.

We have just added an outdoor sauna to this fabulous cabin in the woods behind our house. Although there is only 1 proper bedroom there is a sleeping loft with a queen size bed and window overlooking the hardwood forest. We also have a pull-out couch. Guests have complete privacy and everything provided for a comfortable stay This is a cabin with peaceful relaxation in mind....no loud parties or anything of that nature. Come and enjoy northern Michigan's beauty in all seasons.

Be one with nature. Sitting just up the hill from our mini donkeys and our 4 adorable boy alpacas.

Outpost Treehouse

The lookout inspired Outpost Treehouse (not actually attached to a tree) sits in a white pine forest in the middle of a 50 acre active farm. The 15 hand crafted windows allow for great views watching out for Michigan wildlife--White tail deer, turkeys, owls, coyote have all been spotted from the elevated wrap around deck. The biggest regret that guests have noted is “we wish we would have stayed longer”!
