Retreat in Paradise

Bird song is fabulous. No sandflies! If you are in need of a quiet place to retreat, this would be ideal. First breakfast and spa pool included. We can add a mattress on the floor for a child. Toilet, shower, electricity and WIFI are in our homestead 100 m away. We provide food by request. $20 dinner. Cellphone coverage is 2 km down the road. No heating in the hut but it has all day sun and warms up quickly. Complimentary bikes. Frozen bone release and deep healing treatments by appointment.

We are a private island (Manuka Island) but we have drive on access at all times, 25 minutes to Nelson and Motueka. Rabbit Island beach(4km) and Taste Nelson Cycle Trail is a km from our gate. We are central to vineyards, cafe, 3/4 hour to Abel Tasman National park. We have amazing sea, rural , and mountain views. Total privacy assured.

This was a really good stop along our trip. We stopped here to take a day trip to Nelson lakes, the cabin was nice and warm on the cold night. Kitchen was fully stocked with all the dishware we could need and a hot water spout. water in the showers got hot quickly but you do only have seven minutes! (totally fair for conservation). The host gave us a tour, easy check in. Met lovely people while staying there and chatted about hiking nearby and in the country in general. Would happily stay again and highly recommend.

Had a great stay at Karen’s place! She showed us around the motorhome, and the cabin and shared spaces were very well maintained. Loved the homegrown products for sale and the short 5 minute walk to Buller River for a quick dip. Plus, Barry the cat was super friendly! Would recommend Karen’s motorhome!

This little cabin is so private and quiet, no one nearby and with unbeatable sea views. The bed is very comfortable. You have your own little porch, little kitchen, lots of weka to watch. It is as described very simple and rustic, so go to lose yourself in the a secluded section of Golden Bay.
