NOTE: This is not a good home to stay in for people with pet allergies, we have a dog that will not be on the premises, and a cat that lives onsite. The cat is stationed in the garage, but may come up for a visit!

Had a terrific time at Elizabeth and Duan's Ao Marama retreat. Lovely gardens, decking, eqsuitive views and friendly ducks. Huts were perfect, nice and clean. Highly recommend staying here and we would love to return. Hot tub is divine and an awesome spot to stargaze. Being able to book the house and huts is an amazing option. We had perfect weather but the additional comforts of the house would be great in the cooler months. Thank you!

recommend staying at Paul's really nice flat with all mod cons. 2 bedrooms just in case of snorers lol. pub next door was not noisy and just a stone throw from the beach. perfect for long or short stays if we ever come back to nelson this place is where we,lol try and book .

The cottage is a basic (and somewhat dated) bach. Kitchen gear is limited, fridge is small, and since the nearest anything is an hour+ away that is a bit of a problem. But daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn those views. The views from the cottage at high tide are mindblowing, but the hikes to the beaches at lowtide are simply spectacular. One word of caution. The property is a working sheep station, so don't wear your dancing shoes.

We really enjoyed for stay at Jody & Hamish’s place. Beautiful surroundings, amidst the orchards. The place was well decorated. The rooms were very spacious, beds comfortable . Great attention to detail given and the kitchen was well equipped. When the weather was wet, they let use the next door shed for the kids to play basketball and pickle ball. Mouteka was only 5 -10 mins away and we were able to get to Kaiteriteri within 20 mins to do the Abel Tasman tours. We would definitely go back if we are visiting again.

Lovely little place in Pohara. The hosts have put lots of care and attention into the place, providing additional amenities for your stay. The kayak in particular was brilliant to have access to, which you can easily roll down to the nearby beach. The outdoor seating and bath area are also great. There is no heating in the hut, which meant some chilly mornings as winter nears- something to bear in mind but would recommend to others, especially in the warmer months!
