Bed and breakfast vacation rentals in Stroud District

We had a wonderful 2 night stay at Matthew and Jane's B&B. The location was peaceful with lovely views over the countryside and Matthew and Jane were friendly and attentive hosts. We were welcomed with hot drinks on arrival which was lovely after a long drive. Making arrangements to arrive was easy with good, clear communication from Jane. Every room was spotless and tidy and the beds were comfortable with quality mattresses, pillows and sheets. Breakfast was delcious and Jane was keen to ensure we all had a breakfast we would enjoy with options to choose from. We would definitely stay again. Thank you both.

Jessica and Paul are marvelous! Quite friendly and attentive. We had good conversations and the always had left prepared our breakfast before we got down to it. The location and the city’s scape view from the bedroom is breathtaking. We strictly recommend them.

Helen was very welcoming and friendly. House was clean and free from clutter. She cleared a shelf in the fridge for me. I was on a swimming training course nearby, so didn’t need to use the bath or shower, so can’t comment on that.

Mark's house is in a very peaceful location, perfect for country lovers and those seeking a break from traffic and people noise. The house is comfortable, clean and everything is provided. You'll need a car and to travel for food and services although the local petrol station is handy for fuel in ordinary shop opening hours. You can access some amazing history, buildings and countryside here.

We had the pleasure of staying at The Cowsheds in Chippenham as a family of 12, plus a dog, spanning multiple generations—including my elderly mother. From the time we arrived, we felt completely at home in this wonderfully spacious clean accommodation that catered perfectly to all our needs. Georgina, our host, was friendly, welcoming, and incredibly responsive throughout our stay. Her attention to detail made all the difference, from the fresh milk straight from the farm waiting in the fridge to the bottle of champagne. And her homemade chocolate brownies were to die for! Every aspect of The Cowsheds was beautifully considered, creating a warm and comfortable retreat for our entire family. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, and we are truly grateful to Georgina for sharing her lovely accommodation with us.

The most wonderful and peaceful stay . A walkable distance from a wedding at Homme House, however Anne was kind enough to drive us down. Breakfast was an absolute highlight, with local and homemade ingredients, in addition to a homemade chocolate and chestnut torte laid out upon arrival. Our accommodation had everything that we could need for a couple of nights, which led to an incredibly comfortable stay. Thank you, Anne!

Kathryn’s lovely home was perfect for a family Easter gathering nearby. She made us so welcome, the room is cozy, warm and clean. Kathryn kindly accommodated my needs of gluten free and we had a tasty, healthy breakfast each morning. Kathryn’s home is perfect as a base with the added advantage of off road parking. Thank you for your hospitality and kindness Kathryn - your home is a peaceful haven.

Matt’s place is amazing and his family is very kind and friendly. Matt is a great host and a delicious breakfast is served, super recommended!

We cannot recommend Sherree's place enough. We had the best time and already planning for when we can go back. The accomodation is beautifully decorated, comfortable, warm and great hot showers. The location is amazing, we went in the Spring and saw so many lambs, pigs and their super friendly dogs. We were also lucky enough to have the chance to bottle fed the lambs - adorable! The location is perfect, set in the gorgeous Cotswold countryside, down the road from Sudeley Castle and a short drive to Clarkson's Farm. There are also so many amazing hikes in the area. Sherree was incredible, a wonderful host, very friendly and with fantastic communication. She cooked us an incredible full English breakfast every morning and was a joy to meet. We love this place and are desperate to go back. Thank you so much Sherree!

If you're looking for peace and quiet, in gorgeous surroundings, stay here! My husband and I stayed for the weekend and wished our time at Parsonage House had been longer. The place was just like the pictures, with luxurious bedding and bath, in a secluded suite. In the mornings, we ate well, enjoying tea, hot croissants, yogurt and fresh fruit. During the day, we walked through Badminton Estate and had wood-fired pizza in the garden of a local pub. We chose this particular area to get away from London and to enjoy the countryside without the crowds present in many locations. We walked for hours and took in the fresh air without hearing a single motorbike or honking horn. Priceless! I saved the best for last: Elizabeth and John. We've stayed at many properties around the world and place you in a league of hosts who are known for warmth and kindness. Thank you for making us feel so welcome, the genuine chats and for sharing the beautiful space you've created. Top notch all the way!

Die Unterkunft bei Zandra war traumhaft! Alles ist sehr liebevoll gestaltet. Außerdem hat Zandra einen zauberhaften Garten der nur dazu einlädt zu lesen oder die Seele baumeln zu lassen. Das Frühstück war fabelhaft, mit Apfelsaft vom Hof 😊 und Zandra selbst ist eine sehr aufmerksame Gastgeberin, bei der ich mich bestens aufgehoben gefühlt hab. Danke Zandra!

I have stayed at Lyn's place on a good number of occasions now, and they are creating a very special environment, where their guests are treated more as family. The rooms are comfortable and warm. It is a shared bathroom but they make the effort to stagger it's use through communication between the guests. Breakfast is great, and the welcome is very friendly.

Nice quiet but central location for access to town centre

Our stay at Suzanne’s air bnb was amazing. Just as described and most of all a very clean and homely place to stay. Also the bed was extremely comfortable!!

We have just had the most blissfully relaxing 5 days at Little Bothy. Great communication throughout, not too much or too little. It was so easy to find, but with Claire’s extra info it meant the journey wasn’t stressful, worrying if we’d find it in the dark, on a wet evening. Our welcome was delightful, again beautifully balanced, not too much or too little. A fantastic folder of helpful tips for the house and the town. Little Bothy is gorgeously decorated and maintained with the cutest heirlooms. It felt so calm, cozy, spacious, clean, relaxing and has every single thing you could possibly need. Claire has thought of everything! The welcome basket was such a thoughtful treat and we were left to come and go as we pleased as if it were our own home. The peaceful surroundings with nothing but bird song, greenery, sheep and their gorgeous boy dozy made for a very relaxing, restorative 5 days. All 3 of us can’t wait to return for a special bit of heaven. Thank you Claire and Stewart xx

Dee is an exceptional hostess- I felt completely at home and at ease in her lovely home. Dee is very knowledgeable about the area and went above and beyond to assist me. The breakfast was astonishing with fresh orange juice, fruit, bread and granola, Dees own homemade jam and lots of tea There aren’t words to communicate the warmth and nurturing Dee provides - highly recommend you go and meet her and the adorable Tilly (best mannered softest golden lab ever) ❤️

I had a great short stay with Sally and Frank. The room was beautifully set up, with a very comfortable bed and I was made to feel extremely welcome. The house is quiet and peaceful and very conveniently located. I wouldn't hesitate in recommending this room to anyone.

Ruth and Andy are perfectly lovely hosts: very friendly and welcoming. The bed was the most comfortable I have slept in a long while and it was just a privilege to wake up to such a nice view of the Malvern hills. I highly recommend!
