Mongoose Manoor is our absolute favourite Airbnb accommodation ever. This gorgeous hidden gem is nestled in the wine farms which surround Franschhoek and is an easy 15-minute walk to town. The unapologetically bold interior exudes personality, providing a refreshing change from the ubiquitous grey and neutral decor one is usually subjected to. There is an overall sense of generosity, with the enormous bed, which is fitted with lovely linen and a down duvet, and you’ll find everything you could possibly need, from make-up removal wipes in the bathroom to fresh milk, juice, and fruit in the fridge. My favourite was the expansive pool, which is just for the use of the cottage. If you want to experience all the delights that Franschhoek has to offer while also escaping the noise of the world, this place is perfect for you. It is a quiet retreat where you can enjoy long hours of sleep and read your book in peaceful solitude.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this beautiful villa in Franschhoek. The place was stunning—peaceful, comfortable, and perfectly located for exploring the area. Our host; Nora Elsa, was incredibly responsive, and made sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. A special mention also goes to Analine, she was so helpful, kind, and attentive. Her presence really added to the comfort of our stay. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this villa to anyone visiting Franschhoek!

Beautiful place with great attention to details. Very well equipped kitchen, bathrooms and pool area.

We came with our 3 year old, 4 month old baby (and my mother also stayed with us) and the place was SO comfortable for all of us. I would have been happy if we stayed there our entire visit actually as we really had everything we needed. Kitchen crockery, cutlery, cookware and serving dishes were ample and varied. The dishwasher and washing machine worked well. There were little bins and laundry baskets in all the rooms and also more than enough plugs (which are small comforts airbnbs sometimes lack). Cupboard space is also very good. Beds and bedding were comfortable (although I prefer foam pillows). Marcy (their cleaner) was so playful with my son when she came in on our last day and Elaine and her husband were very warm people too when we met them at check-in and check-out so that also added to the experience. Basically, it is, in fact, as good as all the other reviews say ;)

Beautiful home, lovely pool, location was perfect, we could walk easily into the centre and a short drive to many lovely vineyards. House was well equipped with everything we needed for a very comfortable stay. Elaine was very easy to communicate with and check in / check out was straight forward. We had a fantastic stay and would definitely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay. The house is beautiful, well equipped and tastefully decorated. High quality and well appointed kitchen. Gorgeous outside area for dining, and a little plunge pool for hot days. The town is walkable and full of great restaurants and shops. Highly recommend this house for a wonderful Franshhoek holiday.
