The perfect place for a short or long term stay. Clean, comfortable & prepared with everything one needs for a lovely stay. The neighborhood is peaceful and safe - I enjoyed many walks & runs in the late afternoons. Close to many activities, shops & restaurants. The hosts are very friendly & responsive. I highly recommend.

This was our third time staying at The Salt Box and we had another great stay! The property is beautifully and tastefully decorated and very comfortable. The location is convenient with the beachfront a short walk or drive away. We love the peaceful atmosphere with sliding doors opening the lounge to the private garden / pool area. Dining in is a breeze with everything we needed provided for. The furniture and beds are comfortable and views from upstairs never get old. Ame and Spencer are amazing hosts and are always super responsive and friendly. We also appreciated the thoughtful extras they provide. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

Mark and Nicky are amazing hosts and make you feel at home in their cottage without being intrusive or crossing boundaries. Issues were dealt with very quickly and Mark is very responsive in communicating. The unit is set in a peaceful and beautiful suburb and is close to wine estates, parks, a sports complex, shops and restaurants. We started of as strangers but after 30 days left as good friends. Highly recommended and well worth the price.

Marilin and her husband Leslie welcomed me with great Joy. They responded swiftly to all my needs during my stay at their residence. The space was so neat and well organized. Very cool place with lots of calm. I really enjoyed my stay and wish to return whenever I am in capetown.

Very welcoming and gracious hosts from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Some issues we came across (coffee machine that leaked and a faulty LCD TV screen ) were dealt with immediately and we were made to feel very comfortable in the space. Rixie and Rui have a unit which is very well equipped compared to other places we had stayed which is a great plus! Things like sunblock, beach towels, beach umbrellas, bin bags, dish cloths as well as additional toiletries such as toothpaste and toothbrushes. One slight disappointment: The outdoor dining table on the photos was made to look as though we would have that space to ourselves along with the accompanying unit however it was separated and attached to the main house where the hosts live. Perhaps the hosts could specify that in the listing? Overall, we had a great 13-day stay! Thank you Rui & Rixie :)

Francy is a lovely lady with great eye for detail and comfort. The unit is incredibly well equipped for every possible need - the furniture, decor and overall finish of the unit is all very high quality- the views from every corner are simply sublime ( we sat in the garden to watch the stars - simply amazing with no light pollution) the darling doggie who comes over for a cuddle was the icing on a very lovely cake! We had a great stay here and Hein was really helpful with allowing a flexible check in and check out. It was a lovely area and the accommodation had everything we needed.

What a small treasure! Cozy, eyes on the details, comfy bed, just great for a get away. You need a car, it’s a bit outside of Stellenbosch. We will be back for more then one night! We loved the place and our hosts were really friendly and took us in on a short notice. Thanks 😊

Neat and clean room. Just what we needed for pur 1 night stay. The bed is very comfortable and the aircon ensured we got a good nights rest on a warm night.

We travelled for a wedding nearby - Fiona and Martin very helpful with suggestions and recommendations. Never too busy to greet and see that we were comfortable. Location excellent for shopping and touring Stellenbosch, Somerset West. Loved the views and the swimming pool. But most of all, the friendliness of all at Acara stood out and will bring us back 😀

A visit to Jane's place allowed access to tranquil surroundings and views of the mountains surrounding Somerset West! A morning Nespresso on the patio was the perfect start to anyone's day and the hosts are friendly, inviting and take genuine interest in your comfort and convenience. With all the amenities of home it was an excellent base of operations for our stay. It is well equipped, clean, comfortable, easy to find and ideally located with on site (off-street) parking big enough for a double cab Hilux bakkie being a huge plus!

what a gem! The guest suite is beautiful. Brian was welcoming and full of local information which was invaluable. We visited a few of the recommended vineyards as well as local restaurants and cafes and they did not disappoint. Highlights included Vrede en Lust for brunch, The French bistro for dinner and The Blue Correander for a curry. The Mad Hatter was a great spot to have a relaxing drink whilst listening to live music. Thank you Brian for welcoming us to your beautiful area. Hope to return to do more of the recommendations!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay, but I wish I had booked a longer one. I will be coming back. Louise is an awesome host. Very friendly and welcoming. If you are looking for a quiet, peaceful, and luxurious stay, I highly recommend it.

Antoinette's home is lovingly cared for, spacious and very comfortable. The bed is super comfortable with crisp linens, we slept well every night. The kitchen is large and has every imaginable appliance and gadget one could need. We especially loved the barista style coffee machine and the gas bbq. The large garden is beautiful and peaceful. We spent 2 weeks in Wellington and enjoyed our time relaxing at the house in between visiting the many wineries in the region. Driving the Bainskloof Pass was worth it for the fabulous views over the entire area. We enjoyed chatting with Antoinette and she was always available if we had any questions.
