Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Rio de Janeiro

Absolutely loved Marcelo’s place. We are a young family of 4 (with a 1 and 3 year old) and it suited us perfectly. The location is brilliant, right in the middle of Buzios and really easy to Uber everywhere. The house itself is beautiful, really homely with an amazing kitchen set up. Great if you plan to stay in some nights, which we did with small kids. Marcelo made it really special though. He was a fantastic host, gave us tonnes of really helpful recommendations and always responded immediately. He even sent us a focaccia on our first morning which was delicious. Would definitely stay again if in Buzios!

I spent three weeks at Judite´s place and it was great! By far the best place I´ve stayed while in Rio. Very good location, close to the beach, safe, full of restaurants and bars walking distance, and a supermarket across the road. The place itself is very comfortable, clean, it has everything I needed, and very spacious. She´s very friendly and even came by to say hello. I definitely recommend her place.

Andre was a truly amazing host. He lives nearby and treated us more like friends than guests. We were even invited to his birthday party — an unforgettable and authentic dive into Brazilian culture. The home is located about 1.5 kilometers up a rocky dirt road, with a 300-meter elevation gain — which probably makes a huge difference during the hot season. The views of the granite mountains are stunning, and you really feel immersed in nature. Monkeys are frequent guests There are fantastic hiking trails nearby, including one that leads to a waterfall, and I especially recommend the trail to Chinesa Vista — one of the most breathtaking views of the city from above. It’s about a 30-minute walk each way and a great little workout

The house is very beautiful, the indoor lake and the view are the highlights. Good beds and bedding, we missed more towels because we went in the cold and it was difficult to dry. One point of attention was that two dogs, one of them a pit bull, entered through the back of the yard. I found the situation dangerous, especially if someone had children, the bottom is not fenced so it facilitates the entry of animals and people. The space matches the photos, but the beach no longer has sand, it had rocks. There is no cell phone signal 30 minutes from the house, and the directions to get there need to be more detailed with landmarks.

It was a great stay! The house is very spacious and has a lot of natural light and tall ceilings for air to flow through which made it nice to relax in at all times. The rooms all have fans or ventilators as well. The area is perfect as you are right near the botanical gardens and close to the restaurants and bars in Leblon / Gávea. It is also only about a 15 minute walk to the beach. The added amenities such as a well equipped kitchen, washing machine and TV were very nice to have. Patrick was also very responsive and flexible. It was very nice, Leandro always communicated in a friendly and accommodating way (thank you for the note with delivery options). Very quiet and romantic surroundings. Beautiful walks and just beautiful to sit and look out. Perfect for a couple's time out. We'd love to come back! A car would be an advantage.

I believe, without a doubt, that this is one of the best spaces in Copacabana. I explain: new, spacious, clean, very quiet environment; perfect kitchen, with all the necessary utensils (electric coffee maker, blender, toaster, etc.). There is hot water in all the faucets and the shower is of great quality. Both air conditioners are new and have clean filters. The whole place is very clean and organized. There's nothing missing! The street is practically inside a village and there's no noise. It is close to the Pão e Companhia bakery - which sells the best cassava biscuits with cheese; the Adega Pérola tavern; many bars, markets and gyms, as well as being less than 100 m from the Arcoverde subway station. Moreover, Gregório is an exemplary host: always available and with daily attention. I will always return, this spectacular space, when I return to Rio, if it is available!!!

We stayed for a week in the apartment of Nathalia, and the apartment perfectly accommodates 3 people, the space was spacious, and cozy, the kitchen had everything we needed. Everything was clean, and comfort she had spoken! Super close to the beach, plenty of options to eat around, market, pharmacy and more. Surely me and my friends would be in the same apartment again. It was great! Everything perfect

We really liked the accommodation, we have nothing to complain about. The space is extremely complete, with a super pleasant and fragrant environment. It's close to Posto 6, which, in my opinion, is one of the most peaceful and safe places in Copacabana! Not to mention, it's just a few steps from Arpoador beach. We had beautiful days, exactly as Ane and Sérgio wished for us — and the accommodation contributed a lot to this, lol. The hosts are top-notch in everything expected and go even further: kind, attentive and extremely polite. You can see that they love what they do in the smallest details that they take care of to welcome us! Even the doormen are super friendly! We felt at home. It was great to be there, and we can't wait to go back!

The place is really good! Fernando is so helpful, he always answered very fast and polite, got us everything we didn’t have. The only minus is very good audibility, so if you have online job or something just keep it in mind. Our stay was great, thank you!

I had a truly wonderful stay at this place! The apartment is not only beautiful and stylishly furnished, but also very well equipped there were plenty of towels, extra bed linen, and everything I needed to feel at home right away without having to buy anything extra. As a woman traveling alone, safety was especially important to me. The accommodation is located in a very secure area, and there was a security guard on duty 24/7 who took care of opening and closing the doors. That gave me a great sense of comfort and peace of mind. The host was also incredibly friendly, very communicative, and always responded quickly to any questions I had. I can highly recommend this place and would definitely stay here again!

I really enjoyed my stay! The apartment was absolutely gorgeous and had a great location - it is literally across the street from the beach! Camille was extremely helpful and responsive during my stay, even sending my friend and I several recommendations for activities to do in Rio. The location of the apartment is great, with great local restaurants and grocery stores within walking distance. It is also just a quick Uber ride away from big attractions like Sugarloaf Mountain and Christ the Redeemer. Overall, I had a great experience and would stay again if I came back to Rio.
