What an amazing stay! This cozy guest house was absolutely perfect for our time in the Lake District. We particularly appreciated the quiet surroundings and the lovely details that included a very generous and tasty welcome basket. The suite was well appointed with beautiful linens, a hot shower and a very comfortable bed. Alister was very quick to respond to our messages and all of his recommendations were spot on. We especially loved the Buttermere and Ullswater hikes. The only thing we would have changed was to have booked a longer stay. Thanks, Ali, for a fabulous experience!

We enjoyed every minute :). Clare the host is fantastic she couldn't do enough to make us more welcome. She's a Lovely, honest lady. Clean comfy beds. Excellent breakfast view whilst eating the supplied sour dough bread toast with the jams and butter. Lovely cosy warm getaway , with amazing walks to watch the sunset up over the hills/mountains with the sheep. 😊 Not much directly local for supplies apart from a local pub and post office. 5-8 mins drive to closest town with shops and takeaways. Would stay again!

A great base for us visiting friends in pooley bridge, just a 10 minute drive away. Had everything we needed for us and our toddler over the long weekend, would definitely stay again.
