If you're currently looking for a place to stay in the San Diego area and have kids, stop looking. This is the place to stay! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Carrie's property. Kids Paradise was ideal for our young ones, and thanks to Carrie’s thoughtful preparations, we had everything we needed for a comfortable experience. This made it possible for our children to have a wonderful vacation, while also allowing us parents to relax. I highly recommend this accommodation for families with children of all ages. We look forward to the possibility of staying at one of her other properties in the future.

Had a fantastic stay in La Jolla in this charming 1920’s cottage. May not have all the mod cons but a very comfortable house in an amazing location. We only used the car for a large shop or to drive to San Diego zoo, Coronado etc. The beach is located at the end of the street, restaurants and independent shops abound all in walking distance. There is a public pool a short walk where you can get pay as you go lap swimming passes. We were there 4 weeks and Erin was always available for any issues (none arose). Would definitely recommend this place.

This beach house is well set up for a beach vacation. It is close to the beach and walkable to many restaurants and coffee shops. Please be aware (we were not) that every Wednesday in Ocean Beach there is a market and a huge party on the streets with abundant drinking and pot smoking. That was not our scene and surprising to get stuck in the middle of it. Joshua has well supplied the home with every you need for a beach trip - wagon, chairs, surfboards, boogies boards and more. We appreciated the thoughtfulness of all these items. Also, note that there are no locks on any of the interior doors - neither bedroom or bathroom so privacy is a bit limited in the home. That being said, it fit our family well.

Very nice place. Clean, comfortable, quiet, and relaxing to be in. Tastefully decorated and really allowed one to settle right in to the beach vibe. Conveniently located steps away from the beach itself, or a 2 min walk to the bay, and near many great places to grab coffee, lunch, and cocktails, and of course all the fun and exciting things to do outdoors. Definitely recommend Cheyann's place when visiting San Diego!

I loved this cottage, it’s location, and our experience. The exterior: private, behind a wooden fence steps away from the sidewalk, with the cutest succulent garden with some tasteful décor. The interior: meticulously curated vintage and retro-style pieces, always something to look at, I appreciate that it wasn’t an IKEA bulk order but a lot of love and care and personality. And it’s SO clean and doesn’t feel cluttered at all! I loved the round yellow bathroom tile, the kitchen sink, the leather chair and ottoman in the living room. So many gems all around. Katrina was a gem herself!!! My toddler got sick (yuck) in bed the first night, and K came to our rescue the next morning with new linens, completely kindhearted and understanding. Related- the free laundry was a godsend to have with a kid, and to simply not have to pack a ton! And the beach gear, stocked supplies in the cabinets, they thought of everything! ❤️

Great place to stay, very clean and has everything you would need. We didn’t have a car so the bikes were great to have to get us around town. Everything is close and tons to do! We especially enjoyed the outdoor patio and fire pit!! Would definitely stay again!

If you are looking for a nice home for your family, this is it. Everyone was so kind and helpful. We were able to check in a little early due to an early arrival of a family member. So kind to do this for us. The yard is so lovely and the roses smell wonderful, even an orange tree. Just amazing and I would highly recommend Thank you for everything.

Great spot if you have a car to traffic to/from the beaches. Was comfortable for me, my husband, baby, and our au pair, and probably would be a good fit for two couples or a family of 4 (one room was bunks). Amenities were ample, beds were large and comfy, clean. Some good food spots within walking distances, namely The Fish Shop and Kono’s sister restaurant (yummy burritos). Vons, Trader Joe’s, CVS all within walking distance for those looking to cook from home. Thanks for hosting us!

Villa was as described. Garage was small, no bigger than a compact car can fit, but some street parking is also available. Area is very walkable. Beach is literally one block away. There were a lot of fun places to get breakfast, drinks an apps at Happy Hour. We're not late night partiers so that was a great option for dinner before watching the sunset on the beach. Free yoga is no longer happening 😭, but really appreciated beach chairs, umbrella and towels being provided. We had a great relaxing stay.

We had a wonderful stay at Emily’s home. The house was so clean and the backyard was a perfect place to chill and enjoy the sun. It was perfect for the 3 of us. Great location to be able to walk to the beach or to town. We were there on a Wednesday and attended the OB farmers market. Delicious food!

Lydia was a very responsive host and was really easy to communicate with. We were a little skeptical because we knew we would be staying on the property where she lived with her family and were worried about privacy but the cabin is very private and although we naturally bumped into Lydia and her husband a few times, they did not spend any time out their back yard (where the cabin is located) for the duration of our stay so we had the place and the yard pretty much to ourselves which was great. We didn't realize how far away we would be from shops and restaurants. It is about a 20 minute walk to the nearby town so we did spend a lot of money on ubers but that was our own fault for not doing our research beforehand. Overall Lydias place is very clean and had everything we needed for our stay, she even had some stuff in the fridge and cleaning products which was really convenient. Thank you Lydia for a lovely stay.

Randy’s place was fantastic. It was as described and depicted in photos. Randy was a great host. He was very accommodating and accessible. The place was comfortable and clean. The living space/kitchen/dining area was great for our group of 6 adults. The bedrooms and bathrooms were very comfortable and quiet. The location was amazing. One small block to the beach. The grocery store and coffee/bars are so close. We used the bikes, Prokadima and beach chairs. Such a great place for the price. Thank you Randy for sharing your place with us!

Danielle's place is exactly as described. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and although it is street parking, there was never a problem parking right in front of the house. You will have everything you need for an enjoyable stay and it is very clean. OB and Dog Beach are very close. There are plenty of restaurants nearby within a minute or two drive. I will definitely rent here again if it is available.

It is within walking distance of the beach, tons of restaurants, and shops. The neighborhood feels very safe. We would stay here again.

I stayed at Kam's place with 5 other adults and there was plenty of space for all of us. Great ratio of private indoor and outdoor spaces. Everything was neat and tidy. Check in was super easy. It was nice to have a private parking spot, but also street parking was an option. The place is a 25 minute walk to lots of nice shops and the ocean. There is a Trader Joe's a hop-skip away. I would book again with a group in the future.

Really enjoyed our stay this past weekend. We wanted something that was within walking distance to the beach and Rob’s place was perfect for that. A couple of other reviews had mentioned the floors being dirty- I did notice my the soles of my feet would turn black after a short period of walking around barefoot- but the floors didn’t feel dirty to me, so not sure if maybe the darker floor coloring contributes to that or what. I believe a couple of other reviews also mentioned the nighttime street noise, but it didn’t bother me enough to notice it; We had asked about earlier check in and they were able to accommodate a check in at 2:30pm instead of 4:00pm which was much appreciated :)

My friend and I (and our 2 doggos) needed a place to stay at the last minute given the LA fires and concerns for our safety. I can’t tell you how lucky we were to find Meiluen’s place - even extenuating circumstances aside, this property is an absolute gem in an amazing area that is wonderfully walkable and safe. Not only was it exactly as advertised, but it was also easy to find and remarkably clean and comfortable, made that much more so with all the thoughtful detail put into the stay. As a host, Meiluen was flexible, communicative, proactive and kind and went out of her way to make sure we had everything we needed. She really helped us out during a difficult time and made an evacuation feel more like a staycation. I’d recommend this listing to anyone looking for a beautiful introduction to Ocean Beach and I can guarantee you won’t want to leave. Thank you!!

Jaime’s house exceeded our expectations. The location was stunning and the house was spacious and had everything we needed. We are a family of five, and it was nice to be able to spread out, relax and enjoy a space that felt like home. We did not have a car but found the location was fairly close to most San Diego attractions. It is a short walk down to Old Town which has lots of eateries and the transit station, where you can catch the trolley and buses. We used Uber too. Jaime provided lots of great ideas for places to go and was friendly, prompt and easy to communicate with.

Amazing place to stay. Spotless, looked exactly like the pictures and the views of the bay was so nice. The location was perfect. Went with my wife and our two children. Great location. It's near a surfer beach, but if you're comfy with the ocean, it's a great hang. Also, within about 10m of the main La Jolla Beach which is superb. Cy has all your needs for a great beach stay: boogie board, umbrella, towels, chairs, sand mat, toys. Close location to some decent food. Cy communicates quickly and thoroughly, but otherwise stays out of your way. Place was very clean with a cool shower head. Neighbors in the apartment were very friendly as well. Would absolutely recommend for a beach stay.

We had such an amazing week for our party of 7 family reunion!!! The house was exactly as described and so well stocked with amenities, most especially books, toys, and any children’s item you could think of for your young boys. Our family had tons of fun using the pool and hot tub, we definitely utilized the wide assortment pool/beach toys and floaties as well. We had a very good time with the special treasure hunt game which was amusement for all ages. Communication was top notch and the recommendations were much appreciated and spot on. We’re already planning our next vacation here again. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay!

We had a wonderful stay at Meaghan's place! She was non intrusive yet quick to respond when we had a question. As for the airbnb, it was spectacular! Inside was comfortable and had everything we needed. The outside - well the pictures can't quite capture the intense beauty of the surroundings. I loved the yoga platform and playing with her cats. A great place to decompress and make peace with the world.

This place was amazing! I stayed here with my family, which included two dogs, and it was perfect! The house and yard were great for my family and pets, and the neighborhood is quiet and private. It was also close to many great restaurants and things to do. Isabelle was a great host! She left us a personalized message, cookies, snacks, and drinks for our check in and was extremely nice and responsive when we had questions. She also had some great recommendations for food and places to see nearby. I would definitely recommend staying here to anyone, especially if you are looking for a family and pet friendly location close to many great spots in San Diego. I hope I get to come back to the area and stay here again in the future.

Cool little spot right next to everything you could need. Walking distance to the zoo😍 and Balboa park. We also walked to food and grocery. The parking spot was a bonus as well. At arrival, the house was cool and comfortable. I did laundry while there too. It was nice to come home with clean clothes and very little laundry to do. I would definitely stay again.

We also enjoyed sitting at the outdoor table on a couple of occasions that's near the alleyway. The location is very convenient, just a ~10 minute walk down to Trader Joes and the main drag in PB. Great place and a great value.

Love Teri’s place! Feels just like home whenever we stay there. Walking distance to Better Buzz Coffee and Vons for groceries. Everything you need is there for you to make the place feel like home away from home. Teri was a great host too, can’t recommend her enough for anyone wanting to stay in San Diego.

Roger and Kari's place was a home away from home for our family with three small children. The place was well accommodating to littles with access to child furniture (pack and play, high chair, etc) and was child proofed as well. The quiet inside and outside was much appreciated as a place to get away from all the San Diego/CA exploring! Roger and Kari were very responsive and understanding to the unpredictable life with our kiddos. Thanks for a great week!

Will and Janine see such gracious and mellow hosts. Their place and the surroundings are stunning and the lodging is a wonderful space for relaxation and restoration. The pool area and sunshine were just what we needed. The kitchen area is small but well-appointed. it being a pet friendly space was much appreciated. Don't get us started on the bathroom! While it's a shared wall with their part of the house, we never lacked for privacy. Lastly, the value for what you pay is top tier. Highly recommended and we hope to return next time we're in San Diego!
