Penny and Ant real nice people . If you want to unwind and go back to nature this is the place . The views and silence is perfect it’s a remedy . No 42” TV with mobile sockets everywhere this is off grid bliss , fabulous comfy bed in the hut and great shed for cooking , if your a 70s kid you’ll appreciate the shower and toilet , brilliant . Not just an over night stay but an experience of how things should be , regards Alan .

This is a unique place.. you have to like wild and back to basics.. I stayed in the circus trailer. I wasn’t sure what to expect and was worried at first at the slightly tired appearance. But once the fire was lit, the fairy lights were on it was perfect. The most comfortable bed with the greatest view from it. Tea making facility and somewhere to charge my phone. Toilet and shower block were spotless, the shared kitchen and use of fridge and cookers was great. Fire pit and wood supplied and it was the most amazing dark space. The view of the stars, ISS and starlink were the best I’ve ever seen. I stayed here so I could walk the SWCP and it’s a 15-20 min walk to Polperro from the site so it was perfect. I would stay here again. This is definitely a wild, back to basics place to stay but I loved it. Matt was super helpful and responded quickly to any questions.

Just returned from yet another stay at The Glade, it never fails to be amazing. My son has spent his past 2 birthdays here with me and explains that it is his favourite place. We love the hammock, woods, quiet, solitude and my sons favourite thing is waking up to the birds singing. This place is truly a haven! Remember to take your binoculars as there are an abundance of birds to see. I noticed this stay that there is a nesting pair of Nuthatches nesting in the tree directly in front of the kitchen window. Spent lots of time watching those go in and out and tidy their nest. The Glade is equipped with everything you need and Juliet is on hand if you need anything else. Lovely place and I cannot say enough good things about it. We will be back again soon. Liane, Roo and Peggy-sue.

Very cosy secluded shepherds hut with a stunning view over the valley. The hot tub takes a few hours to warm up which is to be expected, but once warm it's absolutely perfect to relax in for the evening. While small, the shepards hut has everything you need for a quiet weekend away and the bed is warm and comfortable. Local towns are a twenty minute drive away so close enough to find somewhere for food or supplies, but you're in the sticks enough that we didn't see anyone other than the farmer on the other side of the valley.

Amazingly beautiful location, it felt so peaceful! The accommodation was perfect, they have clearly put a lot of thought into what you'll need and how you'll use the place. The alpacas are fabulous! They are so fun to feed! Thank you so much for an awesome stay x

Beautiful in so many ways!! The views are outstanding and location is so peaceful. Lovely outside space with all you may need. Watching the outside countryside while in the hot tub was stunning. The hut had all you needed with the finishing touches. Well equipped kitchen and the bed was very comfy. Supermarket only 5 minutes drive and lovely local pubs. We weren’t greeted with the weather but still a lovely place to set the fire and enjoy the views, Highly recommend! Will definetly be returning! ❤️

Absolutely beautiful stay! Everything right on your doorstep. Beautiful outside space around the hut. Everything clean and tidy inside. Can see the sea from bedroom window. Gill was very communicative, her recommendations were very helpful. Couldn’t recommend Gills place enough!

Absolutely beautiful place. So peaceful lazing around the camp fire. Our dog had a wonderful time pottering around the field with us.

Second visit this year💗 This place well and truly has my heart. I’ve never been anywhere in my life that I have felt so peaceful then this place (and I have travelled to so many beautiful countries). Dreamview Shepherd Hut are absolutely breathtaking, I could not recommend them enough. If your contemplating booking, don’t think just book it you won’t be disappointed. Melanie has thought of every little detail you could possibly need. I love this place so much, from sitting in the hot tub watching the stars to laying in bed with the cosy fire lit. I don’t ever want to leave this place. Please keep these huts forever!💗 Thank you so much Melanie and family - you have truly out done yourselves with this venue. Great little space for a weekend away - secluded and quiet, we really enjoyed the wood fired hot tub in which we spent the evening looking up at the stars! The local recommendations were great too - went for a pie at a local pub which was brilliant. The surroundings of the field and farm animals + plenty of wildlife made it a very peaceful stay. The cabin itself is well equipped and the how-to guides for everything are very clear. Lovely touch of a prosecco bottle to arrive to as well. Rebecca was a great host and offered plenty of suggestions for things to do in her written guide. The location is very convenient for the Jurassic coast by car. Would definitely come back again!

This little Easter break was perfect for myself, my 4yr old and our dog, and exactly what it says in the tin ‘Simple and Serene’ the views are stunning and we went to 4 different beaches in the space of a couple of days! Nicola was so accommodating, from a flexible check in time to letting my daughter borrow colouring pens! I would 100% recommend and will book again in the future. Thank you so much x

Me and my best friend had the pleasure of staying here recently the view was amazing. The beds are so comfortable. We had the luck of having a beautiful sunset to be able to watch while we relaxed. Elizabeth is so helpful, a lovely kind lady and hopefully we’ll be able to come stay again.

Lovely place with beautiful scenery, very peaceful. Fernworthy Reservoir is definitely a worth a visit! Hosts are very responsive.

The shepherd’s hut is such a gorgeous little place to stay. It is kitted out really well and the view from the terrace is stunning. The wood burner keeps you warm and the bed is surprisingly comfortable! Will definitely be back the next time we want to go to Woods in Dulverton.

Lilliput is a lovely little shepherds hut - though we didn't spend too much time here, it was perfect for a wedding at Glebe House 5 mins drive down the road.

I booked to stay here as a treat for my best friends birthday and I can honestly say it exceeded expectations. Zena was so friendly and helpful even before arriving, she communicated with us very well and responded very quickly to any messages I sent. When we arrived Zena (and 3 sweet dogs!) showed us where we were staying and assured us that we only needed to ask if there was anything she could do. The hut was absolutely stunning, super clean, gorgeously decorated and cosy. The outside space was so lovely and peaceful as well and we spent a lot of time in the hot tub which was a great feature. The log fire inside made the hut very toasty and the bed was very comfortable. Amenities were fantastic and every little detail had been thought of. Highly recommend a stay here either with a friend or partner. Will 100% look to stay again in the future!

We had the most wonderful stay at the hut in the woods. It’s a beautiful, cosy, well made space. The kitchen is well equipped and the bathroom is lovely with a powerful shower. It’s a lovely setting in the woods with a fire pit and stream at the bottom. I agree with other reviews that sleeping might be a push for 3 adults, but it worked very well for us with our 4 year old son. There is so much to do in the wider area, Dartmoor, bike rides, national trust, Bude, and loads we didn’t have time for. The owners have good local knowledge and made some great recommendations.

The location of the hideaway was stunning, very private and overall very relaxing. Check in instructions were clear, directions were clear. The hut itself was very clean and had all the appliances that we needed. When we arrived the Hot tub was already filled and heated with clear intrusions on how to use. This little getaway was exactly what we needed to decompress and relax in the country side. Surrounded by birds, wild life and various animals. Jeni was very helpful, quick and responding, welcoming and friendly. Overall a fan experience, would definitely recommend and come back again.

We had the most luxurious weekend just before Christmas. Brilliant hosts. Stunning location, looking out over the valley, watching the alpacas roam. The hut feels very private, down its own little footpath. The 2-person hot tub isn't overlooked by anyone else and no one would ever pass by (unless they were lost). Robes and towels provided. The hut is very cosy and warm - even when we only used the heated towel rail. The wood burner is fantastic (wood supplied free of charge). The bed folds down from the wall into the space where the table/benches are. Cooking facilities are two hobs and a microwave, with all pans/utensils we needed. Fantastic shared facilities as well: we used the indoor pool and table tennis - although it was hard to peel ourselves away from our beloved hut! We were there during a mega storm and (a) the hut stayed super cosy and (b) Simon and Claire were super responsive when the storm knocked out the water pump. What a fantastic weekend - can't wait to go back!
