this was our groups second time staying at Victoria and Mervyn's place, and we'll be coming back again. beautiful secluded location, hot tub, fire pit, nice open space with many bedrooms. when an issue arose they were very quick to fix it. we'll be back! thank you!

This is our third time staying at the Cedars and it was amazing as always! Such a cozy, peaceful spot for our family of 4. Loved the wintry landscape and warmth of the cottage. Beautiful views of the lake. Beds were super cozy and the bathrooms were pristine! Only a 20 minute drive to Sir Sam’s ski resort, which we ventured to as well. The outdoor sauna was a fantastic addition, especially after a day of skiing! Ashley is a fantastic host who is always available and responsive if needed. We wish we had stayed longer! Thanks Ashley and Peter! We will be back for sure! :)

We had a great time at Jess’s property. I would highly recommend it. The location is great and close to many trails/conservations for hikes. The outdoor space is beautiful. The cottage has everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Jess was quick to get back to us on questions and a good communicator. We will definitely be back! Thanks for having us!

Such a gorgeous property and stunning views! The main living area had views from both south and north views of the lake since it is on a point. Stocked with everything we needed. Was a lovely weekend to honour my late uncle with my family. Balsam lake was his favourite spot. We went up the weekend after the huge ice storm so the place was running on a generator, which actually stopped working for a bit but the owners were on top of it as soon as they heard. They were very helpful. Would definitely stay there again in nicer weather! 🙌🙌

What a sensational weekend get away. This cottage had it ALL! Brilliant decor, a kitchen that I would love to have in my own home! Such a well thought out layout and gathering areas for relaxing, eating and playing games. The decor….amazing. The games room, simply spectacular, and the downstairs tv area, just wonderful. The views were off the charts, beautiful, and we had the most incredible weekend. Erika was very accommodating and flexible with check in etc. The kitchen is well stocked and we had an exceptional weekend. Would rent again.

This place was absolutely amazing and It located in a highly Peaceful and Private Location. The house is extremely clean and neat. The Furniture and interior design was Stunning. We and our dogs had a fantastic stay over the Thanksgiving weekend! The cottage was very clean, spacious and had everything you needed. We loved using the wood burning sauna and the fire pit and appreciated that the firewood was provided. Rebecca responded very quickly to any questions we had. I would highly recommend this cottage.

I had an excellent stay at Dianne’s cottage! The place was exactly as listed, clean, homey, quiet and peaceful. The property was very well taken care of, everything was clean and kitchen fully stocked with appliances and cookware! I had a slight issue with the wifi (as to be expected with satellite internet). But Dianne incredibly helpful and even sent out a maintenance person right away to solve the issue. I would absolutely book another stay!

My stay was comfortable and relaxing! I love this house it’s so unique and fun. My son and I loved it. We found it feels sort of like a fort which we loved. The host is so relaxed and go with the flow it was so refreshing!!! We had a great stay at Rungarune’s! My husband and I were snowmobiling for a few days and this was a great location to base ourselves from. Rungarune’s was a short walk from where we parked our snowmobile trailer and the accommodation had everything we needed and more. Warm and welcoming and fully equipped it was just what we needed after a long day on the sleds. Rungarune went above and beyond with a nice note upon arrival to let us know that we could help ourselves to the food goodies in the kitchen which included some lovely fresh fruit, croissants, eggs, muffins etc that were a real treat. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.

The Nest was the perfect spot to stay for a March Break workshop at Haliburton School of Art & Design. Clean, welcoming and nicely appointed. The bed was super comfortable. It was quiet and the kitchen had everything I needed. Andria and Larry were great at communicating. It’s also a short walk into town. Would definitely stay there again.

- [ ] My family and I had a wonderful New Years celebration at Mevan’s cottage. There were 8 of us plus our dogs and we can confidently say we found absolutely everything we needed during our stay. From wine glasses to two fully functional fridges/freezers, Mevan has put a lot thought on making sure the cottage is well equipped for large groups. We were happy to see the house was decorated for Christmas as it made our winter holiday getaway even more special. The house has a beautiful design with large windows and tons of natural light, it was magical to watch the snow fall through those beautiful floor to ceiling windows. Mevan was quick to respond to our messages and he proactively reached out to us with updates. This cottage is elegant, homey and functional, we can’t wait to go back. The cottage is well located, it’s just a short 2 minute walk to the beach and there are grocery stores, a pharmacy and a nice bakery nearby.
