A lovely cottage in a sheltered place near the water. Help was provided when needed and the accommodation was flexible.

It was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had in Finland, really clean,warm ,cosy, best private spa, and very friendly, responsible host!

Nice and spacious cottage. Great surroundings. Lack of trash bags, tricky room temperature control, and loud kitchen chairs (paws were missing). Definitely the best cottages we've stayed in with four different families. We'd love to rent again!

We stayed 5 weeks in this incredible accommodation and if we could have stayed 5 more we would have 🤩 The photos don't do justice to the beauty of the place, which is even more beautiful in real life! It was a really nice surprise The house is perfectly equipped, very comfortable and the cleaning was impeccable when we arrived 😊 We'll miss the beautiful sunsets over the lake in the evening! Marjuts cottage is a really nice, silent and total relaxing place. I was there with a friend to do some hiking tours and we enjoyed the saune, the lake and the barbecue. it was perfect 😀

In early June, Ukkohalla was particularly quiet and there were no other tourists nearby. The cottage was clean and well-equipped. Special mentions of the possibility of charging an electric car (although we did not need it on this trip) and two electric bicycles. Board and video games and karaoke equipment brought things to do for the evening.

Beautiful place, clean house, and responsive and friendly hosts. Would easily recommend to anyone looking for a cottage around that area.

We spent a week at Arja's place and everything was perfect . The cottage is incredibly well located, far enough from the pavement so we are not disturbed and at the edge of the beautiful lake it was beautiful. There's plenty of things to do around with good hiking opportunities. Thank you for everything!

The cottage is situated at the end of a rough track. Kristiina sends good instructions as the navigator is inaccurate. The view from the cottage is perfect... straight onto Lake Pielinen. There is a large area for use and it feels totally private. The cottage is comfortable and spacious.

It was easy to stay with dogs, the surroundings are wonderfully peaceful. It was relaxing to sit on the deck looking at the beautiful lake scenery. Found everything you need. I can recommend the place.

Matti’s yard cabin was a great resting place for our big group of 3 people and a doggie 🐶. There were very few dog friendly places on the way so Matti was a godsend! We booked last minute and arrived late, so we were very lucky this place was available ❤️ Matti always replied lightning fast and we had everything we needed. Thank you, Matti!

Had a very nice weekend in this fine cottage. Very quiet surrounding with a very beautiful national park nearby. The cottage was well equipped an clean, even with some basic supplies for cooking. Great for 4-5 people. The location is quiet remote, so you should get everything you need from a store beforehand.

The vacation was very good, as was the owners of the cottage. The cottage was very clean and even more than everything you need. I want to go back there again. Peaceful place, beach on a good sandy bottom, a good place for families with children, fish, pike and perch from the lake, the weather was good and we had fun, picking blueberries and lingonberry is, it was dry and unfortunately there were no mushrooms at the time. Thank you for the good time, I recommend this place to anyone who loves quiet and create. Health and good luck to the owner!

This place is truly extraordinary. The lake view can be admired from anywhere in the house, including the sauna. Everything was perfect—Lassi welcomed us and gave us a brief introduction to what the accommodation offers, and then we enjoyed a hot sauna with an amazing view. As a bonus, Lassi stocked the fridge with local beer, which we thoroughly enjoyed. In conclusion, this place is worth staying at, whether you're just passing through for a night or looking for a peaceful, longer vacation by the lake.

Adorable little cottage in privacy and still a short distance from everything. Excellent sauna. Marjametsä was right next door and reindeer saw, once even almost in front of the stairs of the cottage. I recommend this place to everyone. I'd love to come back.

An incredibly beautiful spot right on the lake, so relaxing!!

We stayed here as a couple and we are very happy with the place :) the cottage is in a good location where you can enjoy the peace of nature. We also had our own boat, which was attached to the cottage's dock. Here, the sense of time disappeared and the mind calmed down ❤️
